Almyra's POV,

He looked at me with a disappointed face and I had an assuring look on my face.

“I guess I was too fast to say that,” he said after a sharp inhale. “I'm sorry about that.”

“No, that's not it,” I muttered under my breath.

We just met after several months of divorce so how am I supposed to say yes?

Not that I could say no also, I was so stuck in the middle.

“We have been divorced for some months so I don't think we can just get married that easily,” I spoke with a hint of empathy in my voice.

“I see.” He shut his eyes closed for a second.

I never wanted it to be this way Xavier, I never wanted it sound this way.

Suddenly, my thoughts drifted towards an idea. “What about if we just start afresh?”

His face tilted in shock and surprise. “We were never divorced in the first place.”

Did he suffer a fatal damage to his skull that made him lose his memory while I was away?
