"Why are you here?" Ivy, who was originally accompanying her grandfather, was surprised to see Shawn quietly appear by her side. She quickly led him out of the hospital room.

"Where's Assistant Luke?" Perhaps guessing Shawn's identity, Ivy felt a bit uncomfortable.

Avoiding eye contact, she felt a bit annoyed inside but didn't express it.

"He's handling something. I came on my own."

"Then you should have brought someone with you." Ivy said. In the next moment, Shawn's hand had already grabbed hers.

"There's been some trouble, and I couldn't wait to come see you." He explained, and the warmth from her palm eased the icy chill in his heart.
