Chapter 55

Rosy had arranged for Mr. Jack to do the ribbon cutting at the opening on her behalf while she just went with Kendrick as a regular guest, but when Oswald called to inform her of what he had found out and her eventual confirmation, she changed plans.

While they were on their way, she had messaged Mr. Jack that she was going to do the ribbon cutting herself. He had asked her if she was sure about it, to which she agreed.

Kendrick was so busy looking at the road that he didn't know Rosy was messaging someone. When they finally reached, Mr. Jack had given her a head nod from afar to signify everything had been settled.

Without replying to Kendrick's question, she walked into the house. Cassandra was no longer in the living room when she entered.

She got to her room and sighed heavily, it was a long evening, and she had been holding her breath since they left the drink shop. Kendrick did not follow her when she entered, he was still in his car.
