Rosys' phone screen turned on, and that drew her attention. She had put the phone on silent at the meeting, and since she just came out of the conference room, she hadn't removed it.

She looked at the name on the screen, and it was Kendrick, her heart jumped for joy. Finally, he had called her. Without wasting time, she answered the call.

"Good day, the meeting with the board will be in thirty minutes times," Kendrick said.

He spoke and sounded so formal that it broke Rosy's heart. She joined her lips together and shut her eyes for a few minutes, fighting back the tears that were about to fall.

Shaking the mood of disappointment off, she responded, "Okay. Thank you for informing me, I will be at the company in a few minutes."
