89 - Bringing Monica back
"I want Elsie in Atlanta. I need a trusted person with Monica to give me the information I need," Sly revealed. Kyle was deep in thought. He knew that Sly could have easily convinced Elsie to go with Monica without coming over. Therefore, he was slightly doubtful. "Is that all?" He asked sceptically.
"No. I want you to manage Norman Holdings in my absence. I will leave with Elsie and James but I need a trusted person to watch over the company. You don't have to be there every day. Twice a week is fair enough," Sly explained.
Kyle was stunned. His company was successful now, thanks to Sly. Yet, he couldn't believe that Sly would entrust him with such an honourable responsibility. He couldn't believe it, "and you are entrusting me with Norman Holdings?" He asked carefully, his eyes wide in shock.

In exactly two and half hours, the private jet landed in Atlanta. They checked into a hotel close to Monica's office. However, Elsie was supposed to go and live with Monica. "Sly?" Monica rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Sly took off his sunglasses, hooked it on the pocket of his blazer. "Yes, Monica, it's me, Sly. Did you think you could just leave me like that?" He uttered, striding towards her desk. Sly's analysis woke the rage in Monica. Yet, she calmed herself. No one in the company except for Ben, Elsie and Serena knew about her marital affairs therefore, she wasn't ready to let them in on it. "I only fulfilled your wish," she bitterly said. "Fulfil my next wish then," Sly said, as he sat on a chair in front of her. His thought patterns run wild. Monica knitted her brow, "what is that?" Sly leaned in, then said in a whisper, "I will only tell you if you promise to fulfil it." "Then you have to keep it because I won't make you any promises." Monica wasn't dumb. She knew how slimy Sly could be and now, she didn't want any of it. She was determined to move without her heart because she knew it

She was slightly moved that Sly came and it wiped out some of the embarrassment he caused her. Suddenly she didn't feel too ashamed for all she did because she wasn't the only one in love. Still, it didn't justify what he did, neither did it make her forget that heartbreaking night. "It's a global village. You can find anyone as long as you have the money and the right connections. I will tell Judith to never let him into this office again," Ben promised. Monica appreciated his care. Sly's behaviour was odd. It was as if he was in a war zone. Each minute that passed with him thinking of Monica with Ben, made his blood burn like a hot furnace.
