Chapter 5: Kidnapped again.

Everything was going well. Ben already set off for China and started his internship over there and I didn't meet Mr Brent for almost 2 to 3 months and I was peacefully working in my department.

I was in contact with Ben. Ben's father wanted Ben to get engaged with Liza but Ben was against it.

As Liza and I were also friends, Lisa asked me to help her in pursuing Ben.

I never had any harsh feeling regarding Lisa and I knew that Lisa was just overprotective regarding Ben so I decided to help Lisa in pursuing Ben.

Ben was not receiving Lisa's call and was also not replying to her emails and messages so she decided to text him from my number instead.

I had no idea what they actually talked about, what messages they exchanged but somehow she misunderstood my relationship with Ben. She thought I was trying to take Ben away from her. Ben was nothing more than a friend to me and we never had any such relationship. I tried to explain this to Lisa but she didn't believe me.

We were in Lisa's apartment which was near the sea shore.

Actually what happened was that Lisa asked me to lend her my phone. I lent her my phone and went outside to get some fresh air.

Lisa texted ben from my phone that she was madly in love with him and wanted to marry him but she forgot to mention her name in the text and Ben thought that this message was from me.

On the other hand when Ben received this message, he jumped with happiness as he was madly in love with Linda meaning me and wanted to marry me but I never had any intention of marrying him as I didn't want to go against his father's wish. 

Ben accepted Liza's proposal thinking of her as me. Lisa I was extremely happy and started jumping with excitement. For the very first time she hugged me with joy and even kissed me on my cheeks. I was so happy for both of them.

My phone was still in Lisa's hand when Ben called on my number, Lisa picked up the call but didn't speak anything, Ben started speaking, " Linda you don't know how much I love you. I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. I am extremely happy that you also feel the same about me."

When Ben called on my phone, I left the room to give them some space. Little did I know that when I would come back there would be a huge trouble waiting for me.

When Lisa heard about Ben's feelings for me she turned pale and started shaking with anger.

She started speaking on the phone and said, "Hello! Ben it's me Lisa. I was the one who texted you, not the Linda."

Ben was shocked and angry at the same moment as he didn't expect it to be Lisa. He asked Lisa how she got my phone and where I myself was.

Lisa told Ben that I was at her place and was waiting outside giving us some space to talk.

Lisa again confessed her feelings on the phone call and told Ben how much she loved her.

Ben once again rejected Lisa's proposal and asked her to give my phone back to me as he wanted to clarify the whole thing  in front of me.

Lisa asked Ben whether he was rejecting

her proposal due to me or due to some other reason.

Ben created a huge mess for me when he confessed in front of Lisa that he only loved me and wanted to marry me and there was no way that he would ever consider Lisa as his life partner.

He asked Lisa to let him go and to tell her parents know that there was no way both of them would ever get married.

I was waiting outside Lisa's room and was extremely happy for both of my friends. I thought now that Ben and Lisa both are together, my relationship with Lisa would improve.

Ben hung up the phone at her due to which Lisa was extremely mad. The door of Lisa's room opened and I ran towards her with excitement but as soon as I reached near her, she threw my phone on the ground and slapped me as hard as she could.

I looked at her with surprise because a while ago she was hugging and kissing me and at the very next moment she slapped me and threw my phone on the ground.

I asked her, "Lisa,why would you do such a thing".

Lisa looked at me with disgust and replied, "I always knew that you are a slut. You were surely after Ben even though you knew how much I loved Ben".

I tried to explain myself but Lisa didn't let me say a single word, neither explained to me what actually happened.

She started crying and throwing things at me. I tried to ask her so many times that there must be some misunderstanding but she turned a blind ear to me.

I let her vent some anger and asked her to tell me what I actually did wrong.

She said to me that Ben rejected her due to me.

I couldn't get what she was actually trying to say. A while ago she was dancing with joy saying, Ben accepted her proposal and now after some while she is crying for being rejected.

She didn't tell me anything more than this and asked her guards to get me out of her house.

My phone was already broken and it was too late at night. I was walking around the roadside in hope of getting a taxi as my house was too far away.

But there was no taxi to be seen. The dark night and the lonely bridge were all there to accompany me. I stood at the bridge for a few moments to look at the peaceful night in order to forget about storms that were inside me.

It is said that our destiny and Fortune is already determined. There was one question that was coming again and again in my mind: why did it have to be me? Why was my own destiny not in my favour?

It's really strange how some people have blessed lives and on the other hand there are people like us as well who are waiting for their deaths as there is nothing in their lives for which they wish to live and survive.

While I was still immersed in my thoughts, a black car passed by the bridge and stopped near me, two Men in Black came out of the car and started walking towards me. I was scared as I was alone and it was too late at night as well.

I tried not to show fear on my face, when they reached closer to me, one of them asked whether my name is Linda or not.

I replied to them, "Yes, I am Linda. Who are you and how do you guys know me?"

They didn't reply to me back and pointed towards each other. Suddenly the rain towards me and one of them put a handkerchief on my face.

They must have put some drug on it as soon as they put that handkerchief on my face, everything around me started revolving. It felt like my last breath.

I was never happy with the way my life was. But for a moment, I thought that it's good to have my final breath, at the same moment I didn't want to die in such a pathetic way.

After sometime I lost my consciousness and had no idea what actually happened to me afterwards. When I woke up, I was still in the car, my hands were tied with a rope and my mouth was also taped.
