I couldn't believe I had my job back.

I had been expecting him to capitalize on the fact that it was I who said I had resigned, but he had just accepted me back like it was no big deal.

Isn't that suspicious?

Was he planning something?

I tied my hair up into a tight bun, picking up the stray strands that had been framing my face all morning, and I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror.

The sky blue shirt wasn't too near and had a few stains here and there, it wasn't also ironed and the jeans I had on were not just pale but used. My sandals were quite worn out too.

Ugh, I should have gotten another one since especially since I was getting paid appropriately in Sterling overall.

I wasn't sure what my salary would be in Sterling fashion, but the pay had been good at Sterling Foods. I'm guessing the pay won't change much since I was still a secretary.
