Georgia’s POV

“You have always been sweet, Georgia,” Adrian said after he got off from Georgia.

Without saying a word, Georgia got out of the bed and went into the bathroom to clean up. She did not spend much time there, because she really wanted to get away from here. Georgia came out and picked her bag, ready to leave.

“No tip?” Adrian said, looking at Georgia with a sly smile.

“What for?” Georgia asked, irritated.

“Well, I did all the work, Georgia, why you just laid here like a log,” Adrian said.

The words would have gotten to Georgia if she didn’t know who Adrian was, and what their deal was about. She internationally did not do anything at all, because this was more for Adrian than it was for her.

“You have all the tip you need already, Adrian. You just had your way with a rising star; you should be thankful,” Georgia said.

She would rather hang on a tree than give her money to anyone at all. Besides, if she could, she would have just paid Bonnie the loan instead of sharing a be

Maybe if I got lucky, I would get a job. I meant it when I said I did not want to lean solely on Syrus, and even though I knew I could not get a job that would miraculously give me the money to save Ted, I knew I just needed to get my life back on track.“You have been wasting away for too long,” I told myself. “It’s time to get back out there and get your life together,” I added as I continued to check through job sites. Most of the job openings I found that I felt I could do with a reasonable pay needed recommendation.“There you are, Vivian; hooked,” I said, feeling sorry for myself. Looking around me now, I realized that I had no one else to get a simple recommendation from, which was pathetic. I did n

Vivian’s POVMore than ever before, I was ready to do what everyone expected of me; get the money to save Ted from Syrus Vale. In a way, they were right. If I hadn’t chosen to go with Syrus, my dad would never have had his first cardiac arrest, and Ted would not have needed to get his hands dirty. The days were going by really fast, reminding me that I had less time left. All of this just made me recall the first time they all found out about Syrus. That day, I had been in my room when Syrus’s call came in. Quickly, I shut the door, and if I had known, I would not have done that, because one of the rules they had forced on me was to never shut my door. I had a dressing room where I did everything girly that needed to be done without being seen or interrupted, but my main bedroom was never to be locked.“Hi,” I said with a gleeful grin when I picked Syrus’s call. “Hi, Viv,” Syrus’s husky voice had boomed through the receiver, making me blush over and over again.Being with Syrus and

Vivian’s POVQuietly, I came out of my bedroom and went to the living room. The hostility I met in the living room almost made me run back to my room.Dad, Manny and Ted were all glaring at me.“Vivian?” Dad started with a very gruff voice; one I had heard him only use on either Manny or Ted when they had done something really bad.“Yes, dad,” I answered meekly. Maybe it was the fact that I suspected that they already knew, that was why I acted guilty. Maybe if I had acted confidently, they probably wouldn’t have rounded me up like that.“Why did you have your bedroom locked?” Dad asked, looking at me squarely. “You know it is against the rules to leave your bedroom door locked,” he added grossly.“But this isn’t fair,” I said calmly. “What isn’t?” Dad asked me.“Why don’t I get to lock my bedroom but Manny and Ted are always locking theirs whenever they choose?” I dared to ask.I could literally feel Manny and Ted’s intense gaze piercing into my skin.“So we are now questioning the

Vivian’s POVAfter that declaration by my dad, everything else became tumultuous, until I eventually, stubbornly, moved out to be with Syrus, forfeiting my inheritance in my family. As I turned and looked at Syrus in the apartment he rented for me now, I made up my mind, yet again, that getting the money from him was the right thing to do. If she could leave her family for him, then he might as well save them from losing Ted to the cruel hands of a ruthless drug lord. “Are you going to shut the door and come in?” Syrus asked me, confused as to why I am still standing by the door and looking lost.“Aren’t you going to ask me why I am here?” Syrus asked sarcastically, but I did not get his sarcasm. My head was still trying to get around to asking Syrus for the money.“Why?” I asked lamely.“The last time I was here, you acted as though I shouldn’t be,” Syrus said, shrugging. Then when I did not say anything else aside staring at him, Syrus looked closely at me, worried.“Vivian, what i

Syrus’s POVThe moment Syrus dashed out of the apartment, he hurried into his car and sped off. He took out his phone and read through the text message he had received when Vivian was still ranting.“I have found what you hold dear the most, Syrus Vale, and I am going to destroy your world with it.”Syrus could not stop thinking about it. If this was true, then he truly had a lot to be worried about. That singular message brought back Syrus’s dark past that no one knew about, not even his own mother. Years back, a man from the family’s company had visited them uninvited. At first, Nancy had been skeptical about letting them in; since Syrus’s father abandoned her, she became angry and bitter towards everyone that was closely associated with Mr. Vale. At that time, Syrus had just finished college, and was still thinking of what next he would do with himself.“What do you want here, Anderson?” Nancy had asked rudely.Syrus and Bonnie sat beside her on the sofa while Anderson, a senior

Syrus’s POVSyrus was not just shocked, but weak. All his life, he had been told that he would inherit his father’s company. The Vale company was one of the biggest companies in the country, who wouldn’t look forward to taking over? “I don’t understand, Anderson,” Syrus told Anderson. He might be young, but he knew the consequences of what Anderson had just told him.“This wasn’t what you said back home yesterday,” Syrus reminded him, his heart beating rapidly, in case he had forgotten what he said. “I know exactly what I said, Syrus,” Anderson said. “But you don’t expect me to just spill this out to the women, do you? Your mother and sister would not be able to take it like a man would,” Anderson added. “Nancy would literally die, and that would be on me.”Syrus nodded; Anderson was right. Now, Syrus understood Anderson’s words better when he said coming to see him was important when giving him his complimentary card. “Besides, it is not official yet, so the board would have my he

Syrus’s POVOn his way home, Syrus had felt grateful for the timely intervention of Anderson, and for the first time, he had been upset with his father.“You would have ruined things for me and left me with nothing,” Syrus said with clenched teeth. He knew his father was gallivanting around the world with the love of his life, but because they were all still financially catered for financially, he never knew that things were bad, and Syrus was certain that his mother had no idea about this. If not for Anderson, Syrus and his mother would have been disgraced and shamed nationally, and the company would have been handed to someone else completely. On the other hand, Syrus felt cornered. Anderson literally twisted Syrus’s hand, and Syrus, desperate to fix what he was at the brink of losing, agreed without hesitation. Vivian’s POVSyrus left me in a state of worry when he left in the manner that he did, and the worse part, I did not even get a confirmation from him as to whether he would give me the money or not.Heck, we didn’t even get to talk about the money at all, and now that he had rushed off like that, only God knows the next time he would show up here, and I don’t even have that time.“What do I do now?” I asked myself. There is really no time. According to what Manny said, the ultimatum was only a couple of days, and then Ted would be killed. My mind’s eye flashed to my dad’s health condition the last time I saw him, and I shivered at the thought of either losing him too, or getting permanently disowned, whereas Syrus would still maintain the unbreakable bond and relationship he shared with his mother and sister.I dialed Syrus’s number, because I did not know what else to do, and the sense of urgency just kept pushing me.“Vivian, now is not the time,” Syrus said gruffly when the call c

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Back Home

Vivian’s POVAfter I left Belinda’s house, I took a cab and headed for home, because there was nowhere else that I could go to.If I had known that Belinda would turn her back on me, I would not have stubbornly left the apartment Syrus rented for me. I had left in confidence because I was sure that I had a friend and supporter in Belinda.“You have made another awful mistake again,” I scolded myself. “When are you ever going to learn some lessons?” I was feeling like shit, especially now that I was going back to the home and family where I was rejected. I did not want to take the risk of going to another city or town where I knew no one, because the last time I did, I got entrapped in a web of lies and deceit and dreadfulness. I was some months pregnant now, and my stomach was already showing, so it would be dangerous to just venture out on my own. When I arrived at home, I knocked on the door gently, and Manny opened the door.“Vivian,” he said in acknowledgment, but he made no atte

Well, apparently, something significant did come out of the relationship this time around, but we are curious; what about Syrus’s first wife?”Syrus was already shaking his head as he read through. “We never came back together!” Syrus stated, his voice hitting the roof.It was as though he desperately wanted his family and the general public to believe him. Then it dawned o

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Even Rich Men Can Be Broken

Syrus’s POVSyrus left Vivian’s apartment almost right after. The mistake he made was that he would have followed Vivian immediately she left and insisted on not letting her go, but he had been too stunned by everything that had happened that he wasn’t even acting right at all, and when he had realized that Vivian was truly gone, just a couple of seconds after, he had raced outside, but it seemed as though she had gotten a quick taxi and disappeared.Syrus had tried to run after her, but he didn’t even know the direction she had taken. He was confused. He was agitated, so he decided to call Davis. By all rights, Davis was his lawyer, and he wasn’t even supposed to be dealing with this all by himself. In fact, Syrus was now very upset as he recalled that Davis actually left right after Vivian declared that she was never going to sign the contract.“Wasn’t he supposed to pressure her and make her sign it?” Syrus asked no one in particular.Thinking about it now, Syrus was not even cons

Besides, it was not like I had much anyway.“I believe I was clear enough the first time,” I said angrily.“You are not going anywhere,” Syrus declared firmly.I left what I was doing and turned to him, shocked that he still had the nerve to be throwing orders and instructions at me.“Then leave!” I said. “I just want you to leave, Syrus, because I cannot bear the sight of you right now,” I added angrily.“There is no way I am leaving you in this state, Vivian; it’s too risky,” Syrus objected.“What do you mean by that?” I asked, confused, because I could not understand why he was saying what he just said, and his it aligned with the discussion at hand.“I know you, Vivian. If I leave you here, I might not find you here the next time I get back, and I cannot have that, which is why I wanted you to sign the contract before Georgia came and spoiled everything,” Sy

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Leaving Forever

Vivian’s POVI looked at Syrus, shaken, confused, and downright heartbroken.Syrus had been my one and only, and to find out that he had a fiancé was just heartbreaking. My lips had quivered, and it was even a miracle that his phone did not fall from my hand.“What are you doing with my phone?” Syrus had asked instead of answering my question. My breathing had already increased rapidly, and it had felt like my heart was going to either explode or fall into my stomach. My world had literally come crashing down at that moment.“You have a fiancé?” I had repeated, more intensely this time around. My voice had shaken, and Syrus knew this. Tears had also spilled from my eyes.“We are no longer together,” Syrus had answered. Then he had walked up to me and collected his phone. He didn’t seem happy, and I could not tell if his anger was coming from the fact that I had looked through his phone, or something else, but whatever it was, Syrus looked upset which wasn’t fair, because I was the one

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   The First Lie

Vivian’s POVAfter walking out on Syrus and his lawyer, I stayed in the bedroom, and cried my eyes out.I have been a fool for Syrus, over and over again, but right now, I feel completely foolish and useless.“When are you going to ever learn, Vivian?” I asked myself amidst tears. “When are you going to stop being a fool for him?” I continued to question myself. The fact that we were divorced did not make the pain of his hurt any lighter. Syrus Vale was the first man I ever loved and dated, and up till now, the only man I have ever given my body to, but he had never been completely faithful to me. My family and Belinda were right; I was a fool for believing that a man like Syrus Vale who had seen the world would stay faithful to me. Even though we were two years apart, Syrus was obviously more exposed and experienced than I was, but I didn’t care, because I was deeply in love with him. Maybe if I had cared, I would not be in this situation. My babies deserved a family, not one that i

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Her Mother's Biggest Regret

Georgia’s POVEven though Georgia was practically asked to leave the house, she was still giddy with excitement. The announcement plan certainly went exactly the way she wanted it. The shock and hurt was evident in their faces, especially Vivian’s, and Georgia could not have been happier.“I deserve an Oscar for this!” Georgia told herself with pride. As far as she was concerned, she was a good actress, and also, she had been able to steer the entire situation to her favor. Georgia knew that the next person that Vivian would run to was her best friend, but then again, she already had that part sorted out. One thing Georgia had noticed knowing Vivian and Belinda was that Belinda was literally Vivian’s backbone, and in the world of bringing an enemy to the ground, one would have to destroy the backbone first, or keep it at bay, before attacking the main enemy. Georgia hadn’t bothered with Belinda when she made her first strike by having an affair with Syrus, because she knew that they

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   The Devil's Advocate

Vivian’s POVI had no intention to shed tears, but I could hardly believe what just happened.Georgia was pregnant…for Syrus. We are divorced now, I understand, but that did not make it any less hurtful. I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces. The same woman that Syrus had an affair with, that caused me to divorce him, is now pregnant for him. So they have truly been in a relationship all this time. It wasn’t a new gist, but somehow, I had thought and hoped that it was all a lie. I watched Syrus as he read through the pregnancy result, and from the look on his face, Georgia was truly pregnant. I also noticed the look Georgia gave me; scornful and triumphant, and my heart broke.“It is a good thing your lawyer is here, Syrus, so that he knows that things are legal now,” Georgia said, breaking the silence.Syrus’s lawyer, Davis, stretched his neck and took a look at the result, and he shook his head. “Should we sit down and make things legal?” Georgia asked. “Wait, what?” Sy

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Once Is Enough

Georgia’s POVThe shock on everyone’s faces gave Georgia more joy than she ever anticipated.“What…what are you talking about?” Syrus stuttered, utterly stunned. All Syrus’s pomposity and pride deflated, and it was evident in his voice. Georgia absolutely liked that, because it also gave her the chance to walk through all of them into the living room. While they looked at her in shock, she glanced around the living room. Georgia could not deny that it was cozy and luxurious.“So this is the place Syrus got for Vivian,” Georgia said to herself spitefully. Hatred, anger, and bitterness towards Vivian bubbled to the surface, and Georgia had to force herself not to scream. Every time she tried to make Vivian pay, things ended up being in her favor. Syrus had not spent a dime on Georgia ever since she met him; well, aside the first time when they had that wild and abrupt affair, and she only money she got from Syrus was giving her money when he wanted to leave the hotel, which Georgia had
