Chapter 59

Annelise's POV

“Welcome to my room."

I looked around the room once more, taking in the distinct features of the room, the bed was a simple one, though it could conveniently contain two people at once.

“It's cozy." I commented.

He only nodded, walking over to the part of the room that looks like the closet.

I watched as he came out of there with some piece of clothing in his hand.

“Why are you still standing? You can use the bed.” He said when he saw me standing in the middle of the room.

“Uh, can I use the bathroom?” I asked, I didn't use the one in my room because I thought he wouldn't want to wait and I was too scared to stay there alone.

"I thought you were never going to ask.” He said, glancing at the clothes clutched to my chest.

"You can, I'll go in after you.” He added, pointing at the door that led to the bathroom.

I walked towards the bathroom while he brought out his laptop.
