Ethan's POV

I heaved a huge sigh of relief. Annelise let her facial expression show just for a few seconds, and i saw the woman that has been trying so hard to be strong for months.

Her resolve was let down and I felt the urge to make everything right and get stronger.

“Thank you.” I mumbled.

Annelise broke the staring contest going on between us, she sighed too, trying to put up a brave front.

"What next? Do I need to sign any papers or we just act like enemies?” She asked.

"We need to make it look real as possible, I'll get my lawyer to prepare a fake divorce paper, we'll both sign it, it's only for Ken to see.” I replied.

"For how long would this go on for?”

"For as long as he helps out with the news, it could be days. But it can't exceed a week.”

"Fine then, I guess that just means you can't come here again till he's done with what he needs to do.” She sighed, running her hands through her hair.

Right, that means I won't see her for days? It feels like an eternity already.

“Can
