7. Don't underestimate me

Her last sentence caught Richard's attention. Is she crazy or what? What made her think that he would marry someone like her?

“You must be nuts,” Richard said sternly. “Listen, I'm not ready for your stupid games. If you don't tell me how I got here and what you gave me last night, that made me forget what happened. I will call the police on you.”

Well, Richard knows that he doesn't need police. His men can handle this lady. He is the law himself. He just said that for saying sake.

The lady chuckled sarcastically as she flipped her hair. “Calm down, Mr. Presley. There is no need to involve the police. This is something we can settle amicably. You just need to cooperate.”

“You are definitely insane.” Richard snapped. He doesn't need to waste his time with someone so below him. His men will handle her. She probably drugged him last night, and it seems she's trying to blackmail him. If only she knew that he's far beyond blackmailing. It seemed like she only knew the name Richard Presley and not what he's capable of doing.

He just needs to leave here, and he will make sure she pays for this. She just messed with the wrong person. He threw the duvet off himself, and that was when he noticed that he's just in his boxers.

“Why the fuck am I on my boxers and where are my fucking clothes!”

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and walked to the closet in the room and pulled out his clothes and threw them at him. “You got them off yourself last night. I don't know why the hell you are barking.”

Richard was shocked. No one has dared insult him. This girl got some nerves. He will deal with her, he will make her regret pulling this dirty game with him.

Elizabeth proceeded to put on her clothes in the bathroom and when she was done, Richard was already dressed. His face was stern, anger purely written on it, but she wasn't fazed. This is not the first time she's seeing this stoic expression of his. She has a plan, and she must achieve it. She's confident in herself because she came prepared.

“I guess we can get to business now, Mr. Presley,” Elizabeth said as she comfortably sat on the bed.

Richard walked up to her and gently leaned close, their faces an inch apart. Elizabeth gulped down as she looked into his dark orbs. They are still the same, cold and expressionless. You can't read his mind through those dark eyes. And not to forget that he's still the handsome devil he was. He was staring at her as a predator glaring into the soul of his prey before devouring it. Elizabeth was trying to show not to be nervous, but his cold sexy glare is making it difficult.

Richard smirked as his eyes searched her pretty face as if looking for something. Elizabeth became uncomfortable and threw her face away. She couldn't believe that she felt heat on her cheeks. Was she blushing or what? He was staring at her with those devil sexy looks, who wouldn't blush if in her shoes.

“Don't play with fire, miss.” Richard whispered into her ears. His breath fanned her ears sending shivers down her spine. She gulped down trying to ignore how dangerous those words sounded. His voice was deep and held so much authority. She felt weak in her bones. He's dominating as ever.

Richard gently tilt her face to stare at him. He smirked seeing the fear in her eyes. She was acting all bold and hard, but she was actually one scared little kitten.

Annabelle couldn't maintain eye contact with him and quickly took her eyes away. What is wrong with her? Why is she feeling scared and weak? She can't mess this up, this is her only chance.

“I'm gonna forgive you this time, but I won't promise that I will be kind next time.” He added and stood straight as he adjusted his shirt. He turned and walked away. He reached for the door but before he could turn the door knob, Elizabeth's voice stopped him.

“If you won't marry me, I can ruin your reputation. I came prepared Mr. Presley. Don't underestimate me.”
