Chapter two

Damien inspected her glasses closely, before folding them and setting them aside on the desk behind him. But he didn’t stop there. Seeing as she hadn’t objected him so far, the man reached back and pulled off the hair tie that kept her ponytail up, letting her brown locks fall down her back like a wave. It was a bit messy, but he didn’t mind. His expression was cold on the surface, but his electric blue eyes lit up in a sort of jovial excitement. “hm? That’s much better” he murmured, his voice so low it almost came out as a growl. “you’re beautiful, Vivian…” said Damien as he combed her hair with his fingers.

Vivian’s breath caught in her throat as his fingers lingered near her pretty face. On the surface, she looked like any ordinary woman. She was simple, easy going and predictable. She was always on time and always had her hair tied up in a pony tail. Her round framed glasses made her look cute and unintimidating, a complete push over, but an earnest woman.

Yet, as Damien stared at this version of her, her hair let down and her glasses off, she looked far more captivating than any of his models. This side of her, it turned him on in ways he could not quite piece together yet, but Damien was certain that he wanted her. Not the way he desired other women in the past, but something else, he wanted something more than just a fun night, he wanted to ruin her innocence and make her his. But why did he feel this way about the girl?

Every movement, every subtle shift in her expression, from the way her brows crinkled to the subtle parting of her plush lips, Damien took note of it all. The little shiver that travelled through her body and the hitch in her breath when he touched her, they were equally amusing, yet rhythmic. He wanted more. And although he knew he couldn’t have anything to do with her, because of the kind of life he had, he simply couldn’t fight back his desires anymore.

His fingers traced an invincible line over her face and down the sides of her slender neck. Vivian, struggled to keep her composure as a shockwave of electricity shot throughout her nerves system, her mind racing as she tried to process what was happening. This was her boss, the CEO of the company. But the way he was giving her so much attention made her fell as though she were at the center of his world. Damien, however, was completely lost in his own, picking up a hand full of her hair and bringing it up to his nose, he let her scent capture his sense. She smelt of rose petals and vanilla essence. It was intoxicating.

“M-mr. Sullivan…” she began, but her words faltered when he grabbed her by the waist and twisted around, pinning her back against his desk in a one smooth motion, his warm breath tickled against her neck when he leaned in closer and her heart rate quickened.

“Damien,” he corrected her, his voice firm yet filled with an undercurrent of desire. “when we’re alone like this, you can call me Damien.”

Unable to find her voice, she just nodded. There was something magnetic about him, something that drew her in despite the alarm bells ringing in the back of her mind. But she didn’t care, because finally, after all this time, she truly felt as though the man whom had stolen her heart was finally able to see her. She took in a deep breath, inhaling the smell of his cologne mixed with a hint of cigarettes, she found it impossible to push him away. Because why would she?

“Vivian,” he said, her name rolling off his tongue in a way that made her knees weak. His hand cupped her chin, tilting her face up to meet his gaze fully. “do you know how beautiful you are?”

Her lips parted, but the words were stuck in her throat. No one had ever spoken to her like this, and certainly not Damien. She had always admired him from afar, respected him as her boss, and even fantasized about him in her most private moments. But this…this was real, and it was happening right now.

His thumb traced the line of her jaw, his touch firm yet gentle. “you are, Vivian. So damn alluring. I’ve tried to ignore it, to focus on…other things, but I can’t.”

Her pulse raced, her skin tingling under his touch. “Damien,” she finally managed to whisper, his name feeling foreign yet thrilling on her tongue.

He hummed softly as his thumb brushed her lower lip. Parting them aside as he closed the gap between them, his mouth hovering just inches from hers. His breath was warm against her lips, and she could see the dark cloud of desire swirling like a raging storm in his eyes, she could feel the tension growing between his legs when he pressed against her and she blushed. Trembling at the thought of what was to come next. With just the two of them in this office, the world seemed closed off.

“I want you, Vivian,” he murmured, his voice filled with longing and something possessive. “I’ve wanted you for a very long time.”

Her heart skipped a beat, her mind reeling. This was everything she had fantasized about in secret, every late-night thought and daydream suddenly coming to life. But now that it was real, she felt an overwhelming rush of emotions-desire, fear, anticipation, all blending into one heady cocktail of passion that left her feeling dizzy even before the course meal.

Damien’s hand slid down her neck, his fingers grazing her collarbone before settling on her waist. He leans even closer and pulled her body closer to his, the heat was unbearable and Damien grew desperate by the second. “do you want me to stop?” he whispered into her ear, ignoring the growing bulge in his pants that strained, begging to be released from its prison. “because, once we begin, I can’t promise I’d be gentle with you. I want to know what it’s like to have you, to taste you…right here, right now.”
