CHAPTER SEVEN

Vivian, caught in the middle of their silent battle, felt her heart race. The tension between the two men was palpable, and it was drawing unwanted attention from the surrounding employees. She knew Damien’s habit of pushing people’s buttons, and Bruce’s strong sense of justice made him the perfect target. Damien was smug, calculating, and unyielding, always demanding respect without asking for it. Bruce, on the other hand, was honorable and steadfast, a man who had always stood up for what was right. But today, in the presence of Damien, Bruce’s usual calm demeanor was cracking. He was infuriated and Damien could tell, judging by the smug smirk that tugged at the corner of his lips, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes.

“you should watch the way you speak to an officer of the law, Mr. Sullivan…” said Bruce, refusing to let go.
