Chapter 115 A Trap

Shirley promptly replied, "Alright, Mr. Rupert, since you say so, how could I refuse?"

"Still calling me Mr. Rupert?" Rupert's eyes twinkled with amusement.

"Rupert," Shirley quickly corrected herself.

As Shirley uttered the word, Rupert's pupils momentarily contracted. He vividly remembered the first time Susan had spoken his name in that calm voice.

Susan, can you tell me, is Shirley really your alter ego? Why does she bear so many traces of you? Why, despite being strangers, do you share so many similarities?

If all of this is just a coincidence, then it's one heck of a coincidence!

"Sorry, I should be heading back," Shirley said, checking her wrist for the time. It was already noon, and she had been out all morning.

A hint of reluctance flashed in Rupert's eyes, but now that Shirley had just let down her guard, he didn't want her to distance herself from him again.

So, Rupert nodded and said, "I'll have someone escort you back."

"No need, I have a driver," Shirley declined.
