Lilian POV

I couldn't deny that I had felt a little uncomfortable because of Philip's words, he had already started lecturing Jensen and saying that he was doing something stupid for being here spending an afternoon with me and the children as if he was doing something wrong.

I was uncomfortable, yes. I couldn't just deny it and say no, but I still greeted him. “Hi, Philip.” I hadn't seen him in a while. He had been friends with Jensen for a long time, and of course we knew each other from Richmond.

He looked at me, a little disconcerted. “Hi, Lilian…” he stammered, and then looked at Jansen. “Can we talk alone, please?” He asked.

Jensen sighed and then looked at me as if he was annoyed by Philip's presence there. “Can't you see I'm at leisure, Philip? If you are so important to me to say that you even had to come here to upset me?” he asked in a harsh voice.

“Precisely for that reason. Have you forgotten that we came here for work?” Philip asked Jensen.
