Lilian POV That afternoon, time passed, but Jensen never came back. Every five minutes, I would glance at the park entrance to see if he was coming back, but that wasn't happening. He had said he wouldn't take much time talking to Philip, but apparently he had lied about that. “When is Mr. Grimes coming back, Mommy?” Ryan asked me when the boys finished throwing the ball and came over to the picnic blanket for some fresh air and fresh juice. The other two also seemed worried about this. “It's because there's an emergency at work, he'll be back as soon as he can, darling,” I told him with a small smile as I cleaned his arms, which were covered in dirt. “When he comes back, I'm going to ask him to swing me on the swing some more,” Ruby said, already planning what she would do with the man. “I want it too.” Both boys volunteered at the same time. “Well, apparently you're going to want to because it's getting late, and the weather is changing,” April said, pointing with her chin at
Lilian POVThat rainy night, I opened the window and looked down to see a man in the middle of the night in the rain picking up pebbles on the ground to throw at my window.I sucked in air, surprised, when I recognized the man as Jensen. He was getting ready to throw more rocks, but stopped when he saw me there at the window.“What the hell are you doing..?” I whispered to myself, still looking at the man there in the rain.Jensen was looking at me with the pebbles in his hand. He scratched his head, embarrassed, and then signaled, asking me to let him into my house. It was crazy—it was crazy that he was there at that time of night in the rain. For anything he had to deal with, he could have waited until the next morning, or at least when it wasn't raining. I sighed and left the window, putting on a nightgown as I was only wearing a light night dress, then I left my room, and headed towards the door where he was waiting for me.When I opened the door, he was there, soaked by the rain.
Lilian POVHe had his head down. “And that I just… I could only think about them and how much I would be disappointing them, I mean…” He babbled, his face a portrait of his thoughts. He expressed so much pain and regret, like a completely dismayed and lost man, that you could easily see how much he was suffering from it all. “All I could think about was apologizing, Lilie…” He was looking at me now. “I'm tired of being your disappointment, I'm tired of making you so unhappy.”I swallowed hard at his words, holding back the urge to cry. I was aware of how much it affected him, but apparently I had no idea how much he was suffering.“I'm so sorry, Jensen,” I told him at that moment of such tension, and his deep words made me sad too.But he was denying it. “Please don't be,” he said. “I don't want you to feel bad about this because I deserve everything I'm going through; I deserve this suffering.”I sighed and wiped a tear from the corner of my eye. “Don't say that. No one deserves to s
Lilian POV“Since the rain is pouring outside, you can stay here tonight,” I said to Jensen with a smile, looking out the window at the rain that was still falling outside. I was just saying, since clearly with this bad weather outside, I would let him sleep in my apartment. He chuckled too. “That’s so sweet of you. Thank you very much, Lilie,” he said, sipping his tea.“You’re welcome. Please make yourself comfortable,” I said, and then stood up. “And if you don’t mind, you’re going to sleep on the couch, okay?” My house wasn't big, and it only had the triplets' room and mine. There was another room that I was thinking about getting for Ruby when she was a little older and wanted to have a place of her own, but for now the room had become an attic or something, which I used to store old things.“I sleep wherever you want me to sleep, Lilie,” he replied with a simple smile.Would he sleep wherever I wanted him to sleep? He may not have sounded malicious or anything, and the evil could
Lilian POVJensen and I were exchanging caresses and sharing the air we breathed. My lips even hurt because of the desperate kiss we gave each other, I still felt in a complete frenzy, that kiss hadn't been enough.“I missed this so much, damn…” he stammered. His strong arms around my waist, him hugging me like he never wanted to let go. It was simply so good to have him here with me, it was the beginning of my entire life being summed up in this, in this contact I had with him, in this crazy and desperate moment.“I missed you so much too, Jensen…” I shuddered, feeling my body completely at the mercy of his touches.“I don't know anything about my life anymore, I just want you, Lilian…” he whispered to me as if it were a secret or as if it were a sin to say that or wish for something like that.I sighed heavily, feeling so involved in him at that moment. I stood up desperately, holding his hand. “Please come with me.” I ask as if I were begging.“Yes, of course I will,” he said, stan
Lilian POVThe next morning, when I woke up, I almost jumped out of bed when I saw Jensen Grimes lying in my bed. I was wide-eyed at the image of him sleeping there all cute in my bed, and for a moment I was so confused, so shocked, not knowing what to interpret with that, but my confusion ended quickly when I remembered everything that had happened the night before, and it hit me like a big shock wave.I remembered him throwing pebbles at my window in the middle of the rain, getting wet. Likewise, I remembered the two of us talking deeply, and then there were kisses and more kisses… I remembered the two of us drooling on the bed, and then things got dark. Good heavens, had I been late with Jensen Grimes? How crazy!“Oh, my God in heaven. Please let this be a lie…” I said, covering my mouth with my hands as I looked at him there on my bed, but Jensen woke up and looked at me.“You're awake, darling,” he said lazily with that morning voice of his that was drawling and then attractive,
Lilian POVIt's a surprise for me, Jensen stayed there at my house that entire Sunday. He actually managed to make something for the kids to eat, which really surprised me because I didn't know he had evolved that way, and then he stayed with the kids late with me, making up for yesterday when he had ended up leaving from the children after having promised them that he would stay with them all day.The triplets, being children, had totally forgotten what had happened the day before, and today they were interacting with him with the greatest lightness and the greatest happiness. That was the advantage of being a child; you had this ability to forget things that didn't please you very easily.“Who wants some lemonade?” I asked, approaching them with a tray with a pitcher of lemonade and glasses for all of them. Jensen and the children were on the porch of the house, playing cards and just having fun. The day was cool and somewhat sunny, despite the smog caused by yesterday's rain.“I wa
Lilian POV“Finn? What a surprise to see you here,” I commented, actually being surprised to see him there on my door. He hadn't called me or anything, which made me wonder what he was up to.“Hi, Lilian. How are you doing?" he asked as he hugged me in greeting.I smiled at him. “I'm great,” I replied. He was dressed casually and looked fine. I hadn’t seen him since Friday night, when we were at Milo’s. He had left after getting into arguments with Jensen, looking very uncomfortable. I felt bad for him, since I didn't like what Jensen had done to him. But he was here today, so I could conclude that he wasn't upset anymore, at least not with me.“I'm sorry I showed up unannounced, but I just wanted to see how you and the kids were doing,” he said, looking a little disconcerted. The simple, dark blue t-shirt he was wearing suited his dark skin perfectly. Finn was tall, a little taller than Jensen, and Jensen was 6'2. He was thin but muscular, and his dark eyes were serene and protectiv
