“I also hope you know that whatever you say won’t sway me from my decision. I have decided to atone for the mistake I made years ago. I am not scared of what you do,” Priscilla said in equal determination.

“Do not say I didn’t warn you,” Theban said.

Looking back at it, Priscilla realized that the cursed person was her husband and not her son.

She didn’t understand how strong-hearted he was to still hold the fact that their son was gay against him. She realized that she had never been her own person as she had always blindly followed the rules her husband set.

“Not anymore,” she said as she walked past Theban, who didn’t even look up to see her receding figure.
