The week went by with speed, the classes flowed very naturally, and little by little, Luke forgot the things that separated him from her. She was a completely different person from what he expected.
She was kind and very direct, she seemed to really care about the things they were doing, not only did her notice him but also the possibility of getting to know each other better and little by little the resignation that the meeting in the park had left disappeared.
She laughed at his jokes and shared stories about her with him, this brought them closer, and without a doubt, she felt comfortable in his presence. He began to thought perhaps all his restrictions, and all those negative ideas were nothing more than those ideas that painted an idealized Shana that was not the real one.
The real was kind of funny, nice, and more beautiful than he could normally understand. Between them, things seemed to flow smoothly, and several times, she seemed to have come close to confessing something to him that would probably change the way they saw each other.
He hoped she liked him. He wanted him so badly that little by little, he gathered the courage to talk to her about what he felt, but every time the moment approached, some circumstance reminded him that despite being in the same place, their worlds were completely different.
‘How can I tell her?’Luke wandered in front of the mirror, looking at the clothes he would wear to the party, normally he would not go to those kinds of places, but for Shana, he would be willing to make the sacrifice. That was something she liked, and he could not just ignore it. If he wanted a chance to be with her, he must do that.
Without giving too much thought, he listened as Shana played the horn of her car, she knew where the party was, and without a doubt, it would be much more comfortable for her to take them. When he left the house and saw her behind the wheel, Shana didn’t look like the Shana of class. No, she looked like the unattainable woman he always looked at in college.
I have a bad feeling,Luke thought, but he forcefully shook that thought from his mind to focus on the beauty that awaited him. She didn’t smile naturally, and when he got in the car, she said.
“Are you ready for this?.” But he looked at her, and she seemed more to converse with herself.
Luke nodded, and she was smiling weakly at him, took a deep breath, and they both advanced towards the party. The road was slow, and with little conversation, that seemed strange to Luke because, throughout the week, they had built a total naturalness that she felt, but this time she seemed nervous and scared as if her mind was not in that place.
‘Something is not right!’Luke thought as they both arrived at the party site, the house was on a very high hill where the city lights were shining brightly across the valley. He could see almost the entire city from that height, and that view seemed romantic to him. Lost a bit in the landscape, he listened.
Shana said, calling Luke’s attention, “There is something I want to tell you!” She added, “There is something I have wanted to tell you about myself for a long time now.”
He looked at her with enthusiasm and felt in the environment that this was his opportunity, and without wasting time, he said, “I also want to tell you something.”
She looked up to see him, and in that small instant, the eyes of Shana, the one that had shared with him all week, came back. But before he could say what he was going to say from the front door of the house, a boy came out screaming, “Shana, you arrived. It was about time!”
‘Excellent timing, jerk!’Luke said in his thought as he let out a frustrated sigh. At that moment, he raised his gaze and saw Shana’s longing eyes, he wanted to tell her not to go into the party, but his mind betrayed him, and thinking that was what she wanted, he said, “Shall we?”
She let out a resigned sigh, and they both entered the party. The noise was thunderous, and they all seemed to have been in that place for days already. As soon as they entered, a wave of people interposed between them and dragged them to different places.
Shana looked for him with her gaze as he tried to find her, but nothing seemed to work. In a few minutes, he lost sight of her.
‘Where the heck is her?’Luke wondered as he searched everywhere for his date. He wanted to find her, but it was difficult for him, and at that moment he met the boy from the park who greeted him when he saw him.
“What’s up, teacher? How were you doing?”
Luke nodded calmly, and, taking him by the shoulder, the guy said, “Maybe you can help me with something, professor!” Luke nodded before he said, “Sure! But have you seen Shana?”
The man nodded with a smile as he added, “Yeah! She told me to ask you for help,” With those words, he guided him to the front door and said, “Let’s get some drinks in my car and go where Shana is okay.”
‘Well, maybe I misjudged them!’Luke said in his thought as they both walked calmly towards the door.
Once there, the boy opened it, and when Luke went out, he stared at him coldly from the doorway.
Luke looked at him confused, and with a half-smile, he said, “And the things?!” But the guy sneering replied, “The only thing here is you! And you were leaving.”
‘I knew it!’Luke said to himself, while stunned, he told the boy.
“What are you talking about?” Luke’s gaze was confused as he said, “You invited me?”
The man wickedly grinning said, “Yeah, man, because if I didn’t do it, Shana wouldn’t come, she’s gawking at you, but don’t worry, she has passed it by, and she doesn’t even remember you at the party.”
Those words hurt Luke, who was looking at the boy with anger, as he said, “Seriously? Well, let her tell me that!” And when he tries to enter, the man in front of him grips him, saying, “Did you think a woman like that would be with an idiot like you?!”
And with those words, he pushed him so hard that Luke fell to the ground with suddenness. The laughing man entered the house again, and closing the door, left Luke out of the house in the middle of the night.
Luke looked at the entrance of the house for a few minutes before understanding that Shana did not miss him and would not go looking for him. Standing alone in that place, he saw the road to the city and remembered the ascent was very far before he could find transportation, and in the middle of the night, there was not much he could do. He couldn’t even call a taxi because with the push when he fell to the ground. He broke his cell phone. ‘All your life was avoiding this, and when you finally try, you end up like this!’ Luke repeated himself as he began to descend the hill, his steps were slow, and the road was cold and dark. He could not believe the things that had happened to him, he had so much anger that he wanted to cry from frustration, but the disappointment was even greater. The city to one side and the darkness reminded him of the things he had thought, and his feeling of inadequacy repainted his self-esteem. He walked, and
Dean entered the room to look for his protégé. He thought about how everything had ended up in that situation. The day they gave him the job, they never mentioned that aspect of his client. She was a beautiful woman, that was true, but she was also quite troublesome, although the problems she caused now were different from the ones she caused when he started protecting her.The room where Dean walked was dark and silent, he was attentive to what was happening around him, his trained reflexes were ready to act in any situation, suddenly a sound caught his attention, he turns with speed to realize what was approaching him from behind, but his quick reflexes were frozen with what he saw.“Hi, Dean!”The bodyguard heard the yell after his protégé jumped on him completely naked. Dean held her as best he could, and feeling her soft breasts collide with his chest, he lost his balance and fell to the ground with her still over him
Christina's eyes were very sensitive to the light. From the night before, she had stolen all her memories; from the moment she had entered that party until the moment she woke up, everything was a jumble of blurry memories impossible to decipher."A crazy night," she called him to bear the weight of fear of not being able to remember a
The music was loud, and the frustration that the girl caused led Dean to a stressful point; he saw people smile madly, and they could not hold conversations under the influence of that unrest. While his thoughts became more and more complicated, in his mind resounded Christina's father’s words, who in the distance seemed lost in the tu
Christina's mind was lost in a nebula of reality and fantasy, and the girl had a hard time defining what was right and what was not.The image of her boyfriend breaking her trust seemed real, and those men imposing their ways on her anguished her heart, but that man with long hair who fought and rescued her appeared as a dream in a mom
The days that continued were quiet; they both began to get to know each other better and got along in a better way; they smiled and treated each other with familiarity while their little friendship flourished.Dean sometimes found himself looking at Christina's body in an unprofessional way. That tormented him, the young woman was beau
Sleep eluded Christina all night, Dean's kisses and touch felt alive in her memory, she knew that he felt something for her now; she was convinced, but his sense of duty would not let him act.She thought all night, and she remembered how that man's kisses turned her on to unexpected points, and she wanted more, much more.
Morning came, and Dean listened carefully as Christina played the violin. The melody she produced with that instrument resonated on the walls and mesmerized Dean's mind; the girl sweated with the concentration she required while her fingers slid hard on the strings of the device.
She knew she was. She made heads turn, and her presence alone could make even the strongest man weak to his knees. Single men, dating, married, poor or rich all wanted her, but she went for Paul thinking he was the saint he portrayed himself to be.She could have said no, but she was confused. He might change, she thought, but now he wasn’t going to.He proved that over and over again. Dorothy got tired but didn’t know how to break up with him, and she was grateful he was finally gone, although she didn’t like the circumstances surrounding that fact.“Here is your tea,” she said as she placed the cup of tea on the table before Aston in his studio. She took a few sips of hers before placing her cup on the table too. “The weather outside is beautiful today.”“Yes. Yes, it is,” Aston confirmed, although his eyes never left Dorothy. “How about we go somewhere else while this dries?” he suggested.“Sure.”Together with their teas in their hands, they walked out of the studio. Instinctively
Stella observed the interaction between the two, and once again, she knew she had lost Aston to Dorothy because he never looked at her the way he was looking at Dorothy, and that spoke volumes.Stella stood up and straightened out her dress.“I’ll check on you later, Aston, and nice to meet you, Dorothy,” she said with a smile and walked towards Steve. They bid each other farewell, and she left the room.Steve sat down in the chair Stella had just left vacant, crossing his arms over his chest again. He said with a strange emotion in his voice, “You mentioned something about you thinking Paul would change. Has he done something like this before?”Dorothy let out a heavy sigh before replying, “Yes. Yes, he has. Many times.”“Will you be able to testify against him in court?” Aston asked as calmly as he could.“Yes, I will. I think I’ve had enough of him,” she finalized.“Well, I admire your courage, my lady,” Steve commended, further encouraging Dorothy. “By the way, did you meet the pa
‘’We caught this young woman trying to force her way into the ward, and we suspect she might be part of the paparazzi,” the first police officer answered.Steve observed Dorothy noting that she looked familiar then he remembered her. ‘It’s fine, boys. Let her through. The police officers released her arms, and Dorothy threw them a disdainful look, then sent a grateful one Steve’s way.He opened the door for her, and she walked in, thanking Steve with a smile.Steve closed the door with a gentle click and faced Dorothy. “He’s right this way. I’m not supposed to say this, Dorothy, but he’s been expecting you.”Expecting her? Did he want to see her? Did this have something to do with her, or did he just want to see her? She wished it was the latter.Wait, this is Steve, Aston’s best friend and the owner of ‘From Our Hearts’ gallery, but how did he know her?Steve seemed to sense her conflicting thoughts. He sighed and then said, “I can assure you that there’s nothing to fret about, and w
She opened her eyes and brought her fingers up to see them coated with her juices— and Aston hair she had been supposedly pulling happened to be her shower curtain. She just fantasized about Aston pleasuring, but it was better than anything she had ever had with Paul, and the best part —she didn’t regret it.She wanted more of it. She wanted to make it real, so much that she was started to became inpatient and frustrated. The reality of her situation dawned on her when she got out of the shower. She stared at the ring on her finger, and for the first time, she felt trapped. The ring became heavy on her finger, and it began to feel like a heavy burden on her. She slipped the ring off her finger and placed it on the drawer bedside of the bed.Suddenly, she wasn’t sure she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Paul. She closed her eyes to picture Paul in her life as she had always done, but this time, Paul was replaced with Aston. And that moment, it became apparent to her that she w
Dorothy turned around to see Paul standing there, arms folded across his chest and his eyes shooting daggers at Aston, who ignored him, by the way.“So I’ll call you and let you know how it goes, okay?” Aston asked while looking at Dorothy, who nodded excitedly like a kid.Aston smiled and then replied, “Bye Dorothy, and take care of yourself.”“Okay!. Bye Aston, and thanks for visiting. It really means a lot,” Dorothy said, as she walked him to the door.He stopped for a moment and took a look at Paul, who was still standing in the doorway.“And you too, Paul. It was nice to meet you,” she added, and with that, he walked out of their flat without waiting to hear Paul’s grunt of a response. Not wanting Paul to ruin her mood, Dorothy hopped past the grumpy Paul happily to their bedroom, humming a song. The only thing in her head was that her art was going to be at an exhibition– something she never expected to happen. For the rest of the day, Dorothy was in high spirits humming a favor
Dorothy turned around with a smile. “Hello Mr and Mrs Harris. Wonderful weather we have today, yeah?”“Absolutely,” Mrs. Harris chirped while Mr. Harris only nodded.“Let’s go in,” she said to Aston leading the way. “How do you like your tea?” Dorothy asked as they entered her flat, locking the door behind them.“Anything is fine, thank you,” he replied with a smileDorothy walked to the kitchen, and moments later, the sound of a kettle whistling was heard, followed by cabinets opening and closing.Aston took this time to observe the interior decor of the flat. It was an average-sized flat with clean white walls decorated with prints of beautiful paintings.Different artifacts, frames, flower vases, and books sat well arranged on the shelf.Wine-colored drapes framed the windows, and the inner lace curtains remained drawn, allowing the sun rays to enter, casting a golden sheen into the living room. The decor was simple yet beautiful and welcoming. This reminded Aston of the typical co
“Oh, thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me. And believe me, when I say coming from you means so much more,” she said.“I thought I was doing horribly, so I stopped painting for a while. I only began painting again when I came across your works in a gallery. I was in awe of hyperrealism. It was magnificent, and I knew I wanted to know how to paint like you,” she explained excitedly. “Meeting you here might be the best thing that has happened to me this year.”It was Aston’s turn to feel flattered, and he did ever so much. He had received a lot of compliments, but in a weird way, Dorothy appreciating his art made him feel he did something for someone, and it made him feel good.“I’m sure you’ll learn a lot from this class, and I can give you pointers if you want.”“You know I didn’t exactly enroll for this class. Mrs. Michael is my aunt, and she just allows me to join in and last week was my second time here.”“That makes sense. I didn’t think you paint. I though
For heaven’s sake, he wasn’t some teenager going through hormonal changes, so why couldn’t he stop thinking about Dorothy’s body and, even worse, smiling and blushing at the memory.‘’I guess we can now deduce my idea wasn’t laced with foolishness after all,’ Steve said with the smug look still on his faceAston scoffed, rolling his eyes at him, and said, “Don’t get ahead of yourself. I am still not convinced the class will do me any good.”“We’ll see about that, mate. We’ll see.”The whole weekend felt like torture to Aston. He longed to see Dorothy again, and it seemed the weekend was taking too long to end.Everything was confusing to him; what he was feeling about Dorothy and why he was feeling that way didn’t make any sense to him, but he just wanted to see her again. When Monday finally came, Aston could hardly wait till 3 pm when classes started, and by 12 pm, he was already at the building waiting for Dorothy to show up, but she didn’t.Class started, and she was still nowhere
In one swift moment, a bang was heard, and the whole dining table came crashing down, sending a wave of shock throw Dorothy. She had seen this happen so many times, but she could never get used to it. He promised to change. He said he was going to be better, but after two years and nothing had changed. The last time, it was the TV that suffered it, which took a while to replace, and now, the dining table had also felt the impact of Paul’s fist. The table was ruined; dinner was ruined too.“You love being a whore, eh? You love letting different men run their hands all over your body under the guise of art, right?” He barked the vile words pacing the dining room. The words made her feel she had just been prickled with over a hundred pins.“I am not a whore, Paul!. I am not! I love art, and you know it!” She yelled at him.He scoffed before he said, “Oh c’mon. You’re just using art as a cover-up. You enjoy the way these so-called artists of yours touch you.”He then grabbed her shoulder
