The High School (4)

“I received a call from the principal complaining about Rick’s behavior in school today. I am tired of receiving such calls. Every time I see the old man call, I hold my heart in my hands because I know it has to be something bad,” Mr. Justin said.

His phone was on speaker because Jenifer heard Stacy’s voice. They were together. That made her already sour mood worse, and she felt she needed someone to vent out to.

“Are you even listening? Instill discipline in him, or I will fight for custody over him. It’s like I am the only parent he has anyway,” he said, and Jenifer disconnected the call. She had heard enough for the day.

“Why are you guys quick to point the finger at me. I didn’t fight myself,’ Rick said. He was sitting luxuriously on the couch, going through the TV channels.

“Our responsibility is towards you,” Jenifer almost screamed. She was losing it.

Everything.
