Jack was over the moon that night. What he has written in the letter made him feel exposed, but doing so for his first girlfriend was worth it.
The day after, it was Saturday. There were no classes. Jack was sad that he would not be able to see Tara that day. But it could not be help.
He was just counting hours, and hopes it would be school time soon. Jack was sitting on the living room watching TV when Tara dropped by.
Kara had a box of donuts with her. She immediately shared it with him and he accepted it with a smile.
“I have a good news,” Jack suddenly said, while eating one of the donuts.
Kara looked at her with wide eyes. She was also eating one donut and when he spoke, she stopped chewing them.
Jack grinned, “I now have a girlfriend!” He happily declared.
Just as he said that, Kara spit out the donut that she was chewing on his face.
“Kara! You are disgusting!” He yelled in annoyance.
