HAZEL's P.O.V

It hurt, it hurts so bad. The wretched thing had clawed my arm so painfully.

My chest rose and fell rapidly as I lay upholstered in the back seat of our car.

I was whimpering quietly, eyes closed.

"You would need to see a doctor." Luca commented from the front seat, "so the would doesn't get infected."

I could see he was upset, very much so.

His jaw was clenched and his blue eyes glaring narrowly at the road as he drove.

I didn't respond, my entire body hurt from that one fling to a tree.

What other vileness exists in these woods? I pondered to myself.

What would have happened to me if Luca did not come to rescue me?

I let out a shaky breath, gripping the head rest of the front seat.

Luca's head tilted to the corner for a moment to check on me, before turning back to the roads.

"Just hold still" he said, "you will be fine." He assured quietly.

I made a sound of acknowledgement in the back of my throat.

What a terrible idea I had to go into the woods today, no so well
