Morning came with the familiar sound of birds chirping. Hazel stretched, yawned and rubbed her face with her palms.

She blinked her eyes open, sun rays seeping in through the window on her side of the bed.

Turning her to left, Luca was absent.

She sat up at once, rubbing her eyes.

His part of the bed was unmade, ruffled and the the sheets thrown to the side.

He had clearly woken up before her.

Where is he? She wondered to herself.

His laptop screen was on on the study table in the corner of the room.

He had clearly left only a few minutes ago then?

A flushing sound came from the bathroom, and he stepped out few seconds later.

His brows furrowed a little and he gave her a small smile when his eyes settled on her and her ruffled hair.

"You're awake?" He asked.

She nodded stiffly, her brain seemingly a bit foggy from sleep. Somewhat rebooting.

"You're hair looks like a raccoon scavenged it for food." He joked, covering his mouth a little as he laughed.
