Luca was in the room when she got home that evening.She had not expected him to be, so she was quite startled when she turned the handle open and found him seating on the bed with his phone in his hands, a furrow in his brows. Time for dinner came again like rain in a night storm.Sudden and hasty. Hazel freshened up for the evening. She brushed her hair down into long beautiful curls, letting it run down her shoulders. She dressed up in a simple, plain, dark purple, short dress. She walked down the stairs to the living room first. The almost museum style living room was quite the place to behold. Dark brown and greyish couches and throw pillows, with majestically carved woods atop the head rest of each chair. In the middle of each spiral shaped carving was a small head of a carved wolf. And there again was that painting of the world on the far end of the living room. The wolf had dark amber colored eyes, each strand of hair upon it was very detailedly drawn out to make it look quite realistic. Those fiery amber eyes of it almost seemed to burn into Hazel. Retiring to bed that evening, Hazel was calmer and still as she sat at the edge of the bed. She could hear the shower running in the bathroom. Luca was in there, taking a shower. She gripped the edges of the bed, sighing and exhaling audibly.Would dinner always get awkward throughout her stay here?It seemed to her the queen was trying her hardest to make her stay difficult.She felt thankful to Lucinda for taking her into the town today, and she was even quite happy that she skipped breakfast.She couldn't imagine having to bear through many encounters with the queen. Morning came with the familiar sound of birds chirping. Hazel stretched, yawned and rubbed her face with her palms.She blinked her eyes open, sun rays seeping in through the window on her side of the bed. The servants had baked cupcakes, made sandwiches and had some chilled juice packaged into the basket. They all gathered to sit down on the blanket.Laz seating by Hazel and Lucinda seating by her mother. Freya on the other hand did not stop clinging onto Luca's arm. "What she we do now? We are all set." Laz turned to his mother.She cleared her throat, tilting her chip upwards a little. "Well I suppose we could start with a game of cards.""Cards?" Lucinda asked, she turned to Hazel. Her stomach begun to ache and growl in the middle of the night. She woke from the pain and discomfort of it, and suddenly regret dawned on her as she clutched the edges of her blanket firmly, close to sobbing.Hazel made a muffled sound in the back of her throat. Why has she chosen to punish herself for something so stupid. It is not as though either Luca or Frey was feeling the extent of her pain, no it is her who is burning from the flames of her own anger. She stirred in bed, turning to where Luca lay beside her. His chest rose and fell evenly as he slept.His face was calm, relaxed, the opposite of the scrunched up expression on Hazel's face as she grimaced in hunger.Not eating dinner had a surprisingly harsh effect on her system, she had only managed to eat the cupcakes they made for the picnic for lunch in the afternoon. Her eyes fluttered open slowly the next morning as rays of sunlight attacked them early the next morning. It was rather very brightly sunny the following morning, so much that it stung he poor eyes. Hazel groaned, grabbing a pillow and turning away from the window as she stuffed her face into it. She was not ready or eager to get up yet this morning, I mean, staying up at night and making a sandwich with Luca had cut in on her sleep time and now all she wanted to do was busy her head in these soft, plush pillows and sleep. But the sun was simply too cruel to her this morning, it had already interrupted her sleep, so even as she lay in bed now with her eyes closed, she could not even seen to fall asleep again anymore. She opened her eyes reluctantly, slowly, checking if Luca was still laying beside her, but no, he was, gone, as usual. Hazel came down to stare at the lake, she could not believe it... It looked so surreal, walking amongst flowers. The wind here was soft too, blowing loose strands of her hair across her face.Luca walked quietly towards her, coming to stand behind her. She smiled, feeling his presence behind her. "This is truly beautiful..." She said again, watching the deers feeding in the distance, "I don't even think I have ever really seen a deer in real life before."Luca chuckled lightly behind her, remaining silent. She turned slowly to face him, tilting her chin up to look into his blue eyes. "Thank you for bringing me here." She whispered. He leaned down a little to peer at her. "I am glad you like it." The wind continued to blow through her hair as he stared down at her. Luca took that moment to admire her, the way her small nose scrunched up a little as she observed everything around her. Her lips tilting into a smile occasionally too. The softness and admiration in her brown eyes.
