Dear Readers,
I wanted to take a moment to address a change that you may notice in the new chapters of my book. After much consideration, I have made the decision to switch the point of view from first person to third person. While the original version was written in a more personal and intimate style, I realized that third person would better serve the story and allow readers to see a wider perspective of the characters and their experiences. This change will allow me to delve deeper into the characters, and I believe it will make the book more interesting.I understand that this change may take some getting used to for those who have already read the first edition, but I hope that you will find the new version to be just as compelling, if not more so. Thank you for your continued support and for joining me on this journey as a writer.Sincerely,JAS MINE.SEVENThat was the only word that perfectly expressed the countenance plastered on Michelle's face – this… wench just kissed the father of her child!Unintentionally, her jaw dropped in astonishment while Mr. Carter, who had been watching from a distance, batted his short scanty eyelashes; he just recalled who the lady was. Some days back, the newscaster announced the return of Rita Norton – the daughter of a prestigious beta who ruled alongside the Alpha of a province. The news about her engagement to Alpha Shawn had been rumored. “So it is true” he whispered, stunned at the realization – to think that Alpha Shawn would eventually settle down with a fellow she-wolf.Most people were certain he'd make his human mate his Luna, then again, it all seemed like a delusion. While Mr. Carter watched, highly invested in the two supposedly couples, Michelle's entire being was on the brink of fading away from the Earth. What…what did she just witness? She was in a dream, right? — an awful dr
For what seemed like an eternity to Shawn, Michelle continued to hug the man, which he couldn't even glance at his face. To say Shawn was infuriated was an understatement – his wolf was undeniably bloodthirsty. Who was he? And why the hell did Michelle allow herself to get hugged by someone asides from him? Certainly, his wolf desired nothing more than to come out and give that man a good beating, then again, he couldn't act barbarically in Michelle's presence. His eyes were incessantly pinned on the two hugging individuals, but when Michelle eventually teared away from the hug, Shawn scoffed while looking elsewhere. He had seen enough – he began marching, obviously angered, towards the parking lot where his expensive luxury car was easily spotted. Rita gasped, surprised at the sight of such a costly yet beautiful car – although she came from a wealthy family, her parents could never afford something like this. Excitement shone radiantly on her face as he marched towards his car.
For some seconds, Michelle felt her feet got glued to the concrete ground of the sideways since she stood, frozen in his embrace. She'd call it an embrace because his slender yet muscular arms were wrapped around her waist, firmly. Her palms rested on his board chest while her nose incessantly inhaled that intoxicating scent of his. Recalling briefly, they met in this same manner and after a month of separating, they met again in the same way. Fate was a joker, right?Shawn's eyes were basically devouring her lips – he wanted to slam his on those plush reddish lips of hers. Oh, how insanely he had missed tasting her softness in his mouth. He craved desperately for it every single day, and now that she was in his arms, what better opportunity was there then now. Leaning closer, Shawn aimed to capture her lips in a hungry kiss, but the abrupt urge to throw up made Michelle push him away. He did stagger backward, yet regained his stance quickly, and his eyes went to watch her vomit n
“I was so worried about you” the soothing voice of Derek slid into her ears which got her smiling widely. The fact that so much care, affection, and sweetness was laced in it got Michelle feeling loved. To think that she could find someone, aside from Mira, that'd care unconditionally for her after suffering from such a heartbreaking situation got her feeling fulfilled. Her separation with the Alpha of this very Pack she lived in affected in various ways – ways that she thought it'd be impossible to recover from. Then again, the Moon Goddess truly was merciful enough to place Derek her way.The hug entailed tenderness and compassion and soon, Michelle could feel his hand on her lengthy brown hair, brushing and caressing it softly. Both individuals got so caught up in their embrace that the presence of Shawn was totally ignored; much to his vexation. The Alpha had grown inconsolably angered to the extent that his claws were slowly emerging from his fingertips. His fists were clenched t
It was night.A very chilly and unusual, sad one for Michelle, who could be seen gaping at the rounded moon. Tonight, was the Mating Ceremony – an event that usually grants werewolves their heart desires since they'd be fated to someone they'll share the rest of their lives with.A remarkable day, wasn't it?Michelle had always considered it to be so – well, that was when she and Shawn were together. This same, the nights were unruly chilly, with heavy yet light gushes of winds that'd kiss the bare skin of anyone outside. The moon's radiant rays also presented a suitable mood for newly mated werewolves to cuddle and bask in the warmth of their souls.A bittered smile ultimately broke out of Michelle's lips once the howl of a wolf was heard – she recalled perfectly listening to Shawn's howl the day they found out they were mates. So yes, this day entailed so much sadness for Michelle, and she couldn't help her tears from dropping rapidly from her eyes. The fact her encounter with Shawn
What…was going on?This singular question continuously roamed around the overly perplexed mind of Michelle. Despite how curious and confused she felt at a time, she found it hard to glance at the Alpha's face. The brief exchange of eyes they had just got her soul filled with…guilt - shocking, huh. The fact that her body, mind, and soul thinks of her close contact with Derek as cheating on someone who clearly broke up with her was kind of ridiculous.Yet, it wasn't entirely shocking – herself and Shawn are madly in love…well, they were once madly in love but not anymore. But was that really? Definitely, her heart didn't align with her determination to forget about him, while Shawn was…What was Shawn doing again? Why on Earth would he allegedly buy the restaurant of his ex mate? — what was this cheeky Alpha up to?Unintentionally, those mesmerizing green eyes of hers glanced at him then again he wasn't staring at her, so Michelle was opportune to gape endlessly at him. What was he sayi
Writer's POV_“Thank you once more, doctor! We're indebted to you” the joyous gush of appreciation that escaped the lips of the middle-aged woman got Derek smiling widely.Nothing in this world could top the tearful gratitude of a woman – it gave his soul the utmost solace and joy.Currently, he was about to exit the ward, which had a patient he just finished operating on. The patient had her first child, but since she was under aged, the delivery was very difficult.Fortunately, the hospital was ever thankful that Derek had chosen to work there; he was the best in his field. The handsome doctor simply waved at the patient who was now attending to her child and her mother that stayed besides her before he left the ward.“Thank you for your hard work, doctor Derek” a nurse who had aided him during the delivery did a light bow, and he merely smiled.“I thank you too, nurse Lisa. Now if you excuse me, I have some things to attend to” Derek flashed her a heart-warming smile before leaving
Due to the incessant ray of sunshine that persisted on her enchanted face, Michelle was forced to wake up. Weakly, her eyelids parted, and her green eyes immediately beheld the overly familiar yet richly designed ceiling. Her once partly opened eyes widened madly as the realization dawned on her – this was Shawn's room. After all, she had stayed with him for most of her life. Her arm instantly brushed the thick duvet off her body, then her body leaped quickly out of the King sized bed. There, Michelle stood with eyes reflecting disbelief, and she roamed around the room – there was no doubt that this was Alpha Shawn's room.“Why am I here?” her tiny voice came out as confused. Honestly, she seemed to have no idea of how she came to spend the night in his room.Michelle wasn't opportune to ponder deeply about it since her morning sickness kicked in. Sharply, she moved to the bathroom; no one needsn't point its direction to her – she wasn't someone new in the Palace anyway.Michelle's ha
