Alexander drove his car and parked it in front of Geraldine's house, a different compound from where she had lived many years ago. As he walked, his hands deep in his pockets, his eyes scanned every corner, taking in the surroundings. The sound of birds whistling in the trees was loud and clear to his keen senses.

Meanwhile, Geraldine was enjoying a cup of coffee in her living room when she sensed someone approaching. Her powers as a witch provided her with a keen sense of smell, and she sniffed the air, recognizing the familiar scent. With a giggle, she stood up, adjusting her clothes.

A knock came at the door, and Geraldine wasted no time in responding to it. She gently rubbed her face, trying to contain her excitement as she dragged the door open.

Her face broke into a warm smile as she saw Alexander standing there. Returning her smile, he teased, "Won't you invite me in?" His gaze fell to the threshold of the doorway.

As a vampire, Alexander couldn't enter a house without being

Geraldine ran her hands through her hair, frustration evident in her movements as she stood up. "How do I do that? I've tried everything," she lamented, her voice tinged with sadness. Alexander leaned forward, his expression unreadable. "Are you sure you've tried everything?" he questioned, his tone probing. She met his gaze, her eyes pleading for assistance. "Help us, Alexander. Help me get rid of this monster and his power," she implored, desperation creeping into her voice. A smile tugged at Alexander's lips. "Geraldine, you and the witches will take care of Father Bosco. But do it quickly, because while you're sitting in that seat, you're going to help me achieve a lot of things," he declared, rising to his feet. She looked up at him, a mixture of hope and uncertainty in her eyes. "Are you leaving already?" she asked, her voice tinged with disappointment. He nodded, his smirk unwavering. “And where are you going to?” She inquired looking curious. "Where I'm going is none of

Larry gasped, locking eyes with Alexander, his disbelief evident. Turning to his friends, he exclaimed, "Guys, I think this guy right here is nuts! He's absolutely crazy!" Neo, fed up with Alexander's words, scoffed. "I'm sick and tired of his nonsense! Why don't we just beat him up already?" he suggested, advancing toward Alexander. Alexander smirked, attempting to interject, "I suggest you don't come any closer or—" "Or what?" Victor interrupted, his voice brimming with defiance. Larry chuckled, egging him on. "Yeah, tell us. What are you going to do? Beat us up?" he taunted. Alexander smiled, meeting their gazes without flinching. "I'll do whatever it takes," he declared confidently. The boys erupted into laughter, mocking Alexander's bravado. "You're living in a fantasy world, Alexander. By the time we're done with you today, you'll regret ever crossing us," Larry threatened. Undeterred, Alexander scoffed, his resolve unwavering. "Oh really? And what do you expect me to do?

He chortled. "What do you want to do with their body?" Drake asked. “Now that you know what I've been up to, whatever I intend to do with their body is none of your business!" Alexander yelled and zoomed off. Drake folded his arms as he stood by the side of the road. "Alexander didn't truly kill those boys, did he?" he thought aloud, sighing. "Whatever it is or might be, I will surely find out. But right now, I think it's time I return these to their owner, else another man might find himself wearing a wig and lipstick," he said, referring to his uniform, as he burst into another round of laughter. Entering his car, he changed into Geraldine. She laughed loudly, hitting the steering wheel of the car. "I knew he would never suspect a thing once I changed into his brother. I think I know what Alexander is truly up to now," she thought aloud, rubbing her hands across her hair. Glancing behind her car, she saw a dead cop. "If only you weren't so stubborn, perhaps you might still be b

Susan fell into a heavy silence for a moment before speaking up. "Can I get one more bottle of beer?" she asked quietly, her voice tinged with resignation. Helen couldn't help but chuckle at her friend's request. "Are you trying to get yourself drunk?" she teased. “I just want to drink, Helen," Susan replied, her tone indicating her desire to drown her sorrows. With a sigh, Helen relented. "Fine, but I'm not getting you another after this," she warned before rising from her seat. “Thank you," Susan mumbled gratefully, sinking back into the couch as she watched Helen depart. Her eyes widened in alarm when she spotted Drake entering the bar. Before she could react, he grabbed her arm with force. “Come with me, you little witch," he spat out angrily, his fury evident as he dragged her out of the bar. Meanwhile, undeterred by the unfolding drama, Helen called out to the bartender, "One more beer, Anne Burns," she requested, sliding a dollar bill forward, unaware of the turmoil that

"So, did you manage to find out what he's up to?" Lucy inquired as she watched Geraldine enter the house. Geraldine let out a tired sigh. "Can I have a cup of coffee, please? I've already encountered enough toxic smells out there," she requested with a frown. Lucy scoffed, shaking her head as she headed towards the kitchen. "That sounds bizarre. What happened out there?" she probed, her curiosity piqued. Geraldine shrugged as she settled onto the couch. "First of all, these cops are something else, and they're not easily intimidated," she explained. Lucy chuckled in amusement. "You can't expect them to be scared when technology rules the day," she retorted, glancing back at Geraldine. “You won't believe what happened, Lucy. This cop saw my eyes change, and he thought I was a robot," Geraldine recounted, a bemused expression on her face. Lucy burst into laughter at the absurdity of the situation. Geraldine couldn't help but shake her head at her friend's reaction. "I knew you were

Anne Burns arrived home after a grueling day at work, her shoulders heavy and throbbing with pain. Dropping her handbag onto the bed, she peeled off her clothes, wincing as she noticed her hand throbbing intensely. Giving it a closer look, she realized it appeared strange, sending a shiver down her spine. Shrugging off the unsettling thoughts, Anne applied ointment to her hand before quickly showering and preparing for bed. Just as she was about to settle in, a knock on her door shattered the quiet of her room. With an annoyed scoff, she called out, "What do you want now?" Her aunt's voice responded, “seeking a decent conversation." Irritated, Anne muttered under her breath as she reluctantly unlocked the door, returning to her bed with a frown. Her aunt entered, shutting the door behind her and taking a seat close to the table. "Why the attitude?" Anne's aunt began, frustration evident in her tone. "The bills are piling up, Anne, and you're not contributing," she continued, her dis

Geraldine paced her living room, her hands clasped firmly behind her back. She glanced up at Lucy, who stood by the door with her arms folded. "Why aren't they here yet?" she demanded, her voice rising. "Geraldine, calm down. They'll be here soon," Lucy replied. "No, Lucy, don't tell me to calm down. You and I both know what this means. We're not ready to fight the vampires, and we never will be. Who dares to do such a thing to us?" Geraldine cried out. "We'll find out, Geraldine, and we'll handle it before Alexander discovers who among the girls did it," Lucy said. Geraldine shook her head, wagging her forefinger. "You know Alexander. I wonder why you're acting like you don't. He will stop at nothing to find out who did this, and when he does, he'll make sure to kill the culprit. I'm not ready to witness the death of any of the witches," she said, her heart pounding. She rubbed her sweaty hands on her dress. "Don't get yourself worked up over this yet. Trust me, we'll fix it.

Moving backward without turning her back on them, she took a deep breath and turned to Geraldine. "It is done." The girls burst into laughter, relieved and joyous. Lucy cleared her throat, and they all went silent. "Susan, now you must be extremely careful. Alexander will not be able to harm you without the elders' consent, but you must do yourself a huge favor by avoiding both him and his brother," she instructed. Susan bowed her head. "I will do just that, elder," she smiled, glancing at Helen, who was also smiling. The girls left Geraldine's house. As they walked outside, Susan noticed a quick movement in the nearby bush. "I saw something just now," Susan said, turning to Helen. Helen shook her head. "I saw nothing." "There was something watching us from the woods," Susan insisted, looking curious. "Susan, stop it! They slammed into the wall with a thud, groaning in pain and his men who were held captive were freed at once. "How dare you, Catherine? How dare you use magic on my men?" Emelda yelled, her face contorted with fury. "Beware, Emelda, I can read your mind clearly," Catherine smiled, a glint of mischief in her eyes. Emelda was taken aback. "What?" Catherine laughed, a cold, knowing laugh. "Oh, you don't know, do you? Anne disappeared in a flash, leaving Alexander alone amidst the chaos. His search for her was fruitless, and in a fit of anger and desperation, he dragged the bodies out of the house and set it ablaze. As the flames consumed the building, Alexander turned back to bury the bodies, but to his shock, only two remained. He buried them hastily, then fled the scene before the police and fire services arrived. Meanwhile, in his throne room, Arthur was pacing up and down, his face etched with worry and stress. The group of werewolves he had sent to find Yvonne finally walked in. Arthur spun around, his eyes filled with hope. "Where is she?" he demanded, his gaze darting behind them, hoping to see Yvonne. The men shook their heads sadly. "I am sorry, but we could not find her," one of them said. Arthur's face contorted in disbelief. "What do you mean by that? I told you not to return to this fort until that girl is found." "We are sorry, Your Majesty," another werewolf interjected, "but we

Lucy was stunned, her eyes wide with disbelief, while Geraldine clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white as she gritted her teeth in a barely contained rage. "Who are you?" Lucy screamed, her voice echoing through the room. "Good question, Lucy," Anne replied with a chilling smile, her eyes gleaming with malevolent amusement. She turned back to Geraldine, gently caressing her cheek with a touch that felt both tender and menacing. "Yes, Geraldine, you do look like my wretched, stupid mother—the same woman who willingly sacrificed me to the ocean because her dearly beloved vampire lover craved more power. The same one who polluted the ocean and caused the deaths of countless sea creatures, including mermaids," Anne said, her eyes shifting to a vivid, unnatural blue, reflecting the fury of the ocean depths. Geraldine's shock was palpable. She stumbled backward, her body trembling uncontrollably, as if the very ground beneath her had turned to ice. "You're... you're... suppose

I sobbed uncontrollably, cursing myself over and over again for being so foolish. "Yvonne, please, I am not like them. I have never supported my brother's evil deeds. My mother was a werewolf; I am also like you," Drake pleaded. "You are nothing like me, Drake. You are an abomination, and now I am about to give birth to another one. I am a total disappointment to my family, the Moonlight pack, and all werewolves!" I screamed, my words heavy with anger and despair. Drake shook his head, hurt evident in his eyes. I knew I had wounded him deeply with my harsh words, but my anger was uncontrollable. "Yvonne, I am sorry," he repeated, his voice filled with remorse. I cried like a woman who had lost her husband to sudden death, my hair a tangled mess as I repeatedly struck the wooden floor in anguish. He approached me, offering solace in his embrace. • Moonlight Queen    Yvonne POV- Moment of truth

I drove for what felt like an eternity, putting as much distance between myself and danger as possible. Even though I was still within Latan City, I couldn't shake the feeling of being hunted. This was the only place I'd ever known, and the thought of surviving beyond its borders seemed daunting. Finally, I stumbled upon a guest house and parked my car securely in their garage, grateful for the added layer of protection it offered. I covered it with a blanket, ensuring it wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. After securing a room and locking myself in, I took a moment to catch my breath. The accommodations were far from luxurious, but they provided a safe haven for the time being. As I sat on the bed, trying to calm my racing heart, my phone began to ring. Each vibration sent a shiver down my spine. I hesitated, knowing it was Drake desperately trying to reach me. For hours, I ignored his calls and messages, fearing that any contact would reveal my location. But as hunger gnawe

I sat in class for what seemed like an eternity before everyone finally cleared out for the cafeteria. Instructing my friends to go ahead, I rested my head on the desk for a moment. When I lifted it, I noticed my vision was slightly blurred. Blinking with difficulty, my eyes felt heavy, so I rubbed them with my hands. Drake entered the classroom. "Aren't you joining us for lunch?" he asked. I managed a smile in response. He leaned down and kissed my lips. "I'll grab lunch soon," I replied weakly. "You go ahead. I'll catch up." He nodded, giving my back a reassuring rub. "Don't worry. You'll be fine." As he walked away, I exhaled deeply. Drake would make an incredible mate and father. His caring nature only deepened my love for him. But right now, my mind was overwhelmed. I fretted over my own well-being and the pregnancy. How would I break the news to my family? Could I even bear to face it, or would I have to live with the secret? I shook my head, knowing my father would never a

Now understanding the depth of Alexander and Geraldine's history, Helen ran her hands through her hair, pondering if she could ever move on from Alexander. As Drake was leaving, she hurried after him, grasping his hand. "What do you think Alexander wants from Anne?" she inquired. He shrugged. "I don't have the time to find out. Maybe you should help me figure it out," he suggested before continuing on his way. Lost in thought, Helen stood for a moment before making her way into the bar. Anne noticed her approach while serving a customer a glass of wine. "What do you want?" Anne asked, glaring at her. Helen placed her hand on the counter, chuckling. "This is a bar, a public place. You shouldn't be asking me such a stupid question." "Are you that dumb? I was only asking what you'd like to drink," Anne retorted, rolling her eyes in disgust. "Then you should have sounded a lot nicer, or I wouldn't mind reporting you to your boss. Trust me, you don't want to lose your job," Helen

I looked up, and there he was—my man, Drake. All eyes were on him as he strode in, exuding an aura of charm and confidence, especially with his sunglasses accentuating his handsome features. Throwing my arms around his neck, I pulled him into a tight hug, savoring the moment as he reciprocated with a lingering kiss. Giggles escaped me, feeling a sense of contentment, even as I noticed Alexander passing by with Anne, their faces clouded with evident displeasure. But their opinions mattered little to me; my happiness was all that mattered. Hours later... While other students made their way to the cafeteria, I steered Drake into the men's restroom, craving a moment of privacy. "What's up?" he inquired as I locked the door behind us, his hand inching towards me, anticipating a romantic encounter. "Stop, Drake. I need to discuss something serious," I stated firmly,

A week later, I was inseparable from Drake; we went everywhere together at school, always accompanied by my two friends. Yes, we were dating. I never imagined I would be with Drake, but it was happening. I didn't love him as much as I loved Alexander, but I felt a strong attraction to him. He was a genuinely nice guy, and I thought giving him a chance was the right thing to do. As days passed, I found myself growing to love him more. Drake looked happier than ever since coming to Latan City University to study. He was now the love of my life, and thinking about him excited me. I started to see him as the most handsome man in school, and maybe I was already falling deeper in love with him than I ever imagined. However, people like Anne and Alexander didn't seem pleased to see us together. I didn't know why, but I didn't care to find out. In fact, I was glad that my relationship with Drake was bothering them. Helen walked into the classroom as I was packing my books into my bag. I wa
