Chapter 3~ In the palace

Camila was still sobbing as she hadn't thought that one day she would wrong her father and be sent out from her pack. 

She had seen how her father had banished some of their pack members, and slowly, their pack was gradually reducing, as some Eastern Wood members even fled before the news of their sins could reach her father.

Camila was so absent-minded that she didn't notice Henry had arrived home. 

She was waiting to be taken to the refugee house, as she knew no one in the Western Wood pack, nor did she have any family there. 

She knew that when the rest of the former Eastern Wood members that her father had banished saw her in the Western Wood pack, they would want to take revenge on her.

"Come down from the car," Henry's deep masculine voice jolted Camila back to reality. 

She immediately snapped out of her trance, stared back at him, and saw him step down as he walked up to her side to open the car door for her.

Camila was afraid as her legs stepped down from the blue car.

She hadn't even looked at the car to know it was a Porsche, as her mind was preoccupied with the fact that she had sinned and the reason for her banishment. Her father was without mercy.

"Follow me," Henry said, and only then did Camila snap out of it. She saw everything looked interconnected, and she was amazed at the magnificent white mansion that stood in front of her.

"Is this the Western Wood pack's refugee house?" Camila asked in shock, not even knowing when they had arrived at the mansion. Henry laughed first before he coldly replied, "No."

Camila gulped. She would have thought how rich the Western Pack was to have such a magnificent building for only foreigners and werewolves without a home. 

But as they approached the front of the mansion, Henry had parked farther away from the mansion's frontage and at the garage.

Camila was surprised at how magnificent the exterior view was, as the white mansion was thrice the size of her father's mansion. 

She could see the guards at the front as they all bowed to Henry, who was walking in front of her.

Henry approached the front door, unlocked it, and said to her, "Wait here first."

Camila watched him walk into the mansion as she stood outside, staring around and wondering what would happen to her next. 

She couldn't trust anyone from the Western Wood pack, not after all her training and teachings by her father.

Soon, two young ladies came out of the mansion, and Camila was shocked as she was expecting an older man, probably someone her father's age, to step out and judge her for her sins. But the two maids said to her, "Follow us."

Camila gulped silently and followed the maids as they walked to the back of the mansion. 

The two maids stopped, and one of them picked up a hose from the floor, connected the white pipe to a tap, and said to Camila, "Strip of your clothes."

"My what?" Camila looked embarrassed at the fact that the two maids in blue uniforms wanted her to undress. 

She wondered what they were up to. 'Did they want to prepare me for that man to sleep with me?'

"No! I cannot strip my clothes, please let me go. I do not mean any harm."

Camila could see the two young ladies only stare at each other, and they have the moon symbol tattoo on their foreheads indicated they were born and loyal servants to the Alpha. Just as she knew how loyal her maids were at home. 

One of the maids finally said to Camila, "You're a foreigner here, and we don't have time to interact with you now, as we don't know your mission here in our pack. But Alpha Henry sent us to bathe you and to have you properly searched to ensure you aren't carrying any dangerous weapons beneath your dress. And please, be fast as Alpha Collins and Luna Ruth are waiting to meet with you in the Grand Hall."

Camila gulped and knew she could not protest any longer, so she stripped off her light nightgown. 

She was tired and needed a place to rest and lay her head so her wounds could heal.

After Camila stripped off her clothes completely, one of the maids gave her soap and a sponge to start bathing. 

Camila was shivering due to the cold, as she had been previously drenched by the heavy rain that had stopped.

Meanwhile, Henry was inside the mansion, in the Grand Hall, and his father spoke to him, "Henry! How can you breach our pack's law and bring a foreigner here, straight to our mansion? Do you want to risk all of our lives?"

"No, Father... Actually, I'm..." Henry tried to speak, but his father cut him off.

"You have no right, son, to bring a total stranger here, especially from the Eastern pack. She will have to leave for the refugee house now, once she's done with whatever you have sent the maids to do with her. We don't mingle with foreigners or live with them, and if you fail to keep your guard up, they will trample upon us and obviously turn rogue to take over our pack."

"I'm sorry, Father," Henry apologized. His father sat on the throne, staring at him, while his mother stood with his two younger sisters, curious to see the foreigner he had brought home. Henry had never made such a mistake before.

"It's alright. Send the guards to take her to the refugee house, and tomorrow they should bring her here, first thing in the morning. I would like to see her and know whether she's telling the truth. If she is, we will allow her to join our pack. But if she's found guilty of lying, she will be punished extra and also forbidden to be a member of our pack."

"Okay, Father. Can I go out now to check on other things?" Henry asked, and his father replied, "As you please. But send the guards to take her away once she's through with whatever you are doing outside with her. And like I said, let this mistake never repeat itself. It's good to see the rest of the pack members are in their homes, as none would be aware that you dared to bring a total stranger here to our mansion."

"I'm sorry, Father," Henry apologized again, feeling the anger in his father's voice. His father dismissed him, "Leave my sight."

"As you wish, Father," Henry said, and he immediately walked out of the mansion, while his mother and two sisters followed him out, wanting to see the foreigner Henry had brought into their home. 

Juliet and Madelyn, who were twins, were both angry as they walked out with their mother to see the foreigner too.
