Mates.

Xander said that we would be mates, one way or another as long as I wanted it. I believed his words. They wove their way down into the deepest parts of me and unlocked something I had never allowed myself to long for – a future.

I finally allowed myself to realize that I desired a future with them more than anything. There was no longer a need about the here and now when it came to them. I could not only desire a future with them, but I could have it as well. No matter what, they would be mine, and I would be theirs.

How the fuck did I end up in this place in life?

Alpha Xander was feared around the country, and rightfully so. His hands could destroy life itself without hesitancy or effort. Yet his hands brought me nothing but pleasure. He was the sweetest person to me. He loved me and chose me above anyone else. He could easily have his pick of women, yet he chose just me.
