Rayne’s POV

Reese wrapped a possessive arm around me as we walked back towards the packhouse. I couldn’t believe he had punched Conner in the face but then again this was Reese and Conner was lucky to only escape with a broken nose. Eve saw us and came running towards us and Reese stopped us from walking further.

“Rayne is it true?” She asked me as she looked nervous talking to me.

“Is what true?” I asked her with a confused look on my face.

“Conner said that you are also his mate.” She says and I was shocked he didn’t tell her before this.

“We were but you don’t have to worry about it. I’m with Reese only now.” I tell her and I thought she would look relieved but she doesn’t.

“I don’t understand why he wouldn’t have told me. Mates aren’t to keep secrets like this from one another.” She says as she begins to cry.

“Eve, Conner is a Hybrid and we are wired a little different from you. I only truly felt the full effect of the mate bond when I marked Reese as mine.” I tell he

Conner’s POV Reese broke my damn nose and Caleb wouldn’t let me go after him. This was unreal that my own brother wouldn’t let me at least punch Reese back. I finally loosened my fist after the pain of something digging into it registered in my head. As I opened my hand the ring that I had given to Rayne to show my love for her sat imbedded into my palm. The realization that Rayne has chosen Reese settles in my heart and the pain becomes real. When I was gone from here and met Eve I thought Rayne was nothing compared to her but when we return back here because Rayne was kidnapped I wanted to go to her but I couldn’t because Reese had her all locked up in his room where no one was allowed in but him and Ella. What Rayne or Reese doesn’t know is when I saved her that day, I had to tap into our bond to pull all the smoke from her and it drained me for a couple of days. And today when I was using my magic, I felt the bond tugging to go to her but I can clearly see by the ring in my han

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 69

Reese’s POV Waking up the next morning in the cabin alone with Rayne in my arms felt like heaven. Rayne’s idea of us moving here until this matter was settle was a great idea and it gave us privacy from everyone that was here because of the upcoming battle, plus it removed Conner from the equation of having to see him in the evenings. The thought of coming back to the cabin and having Rayne all to myself every night was giving me something to look forward to after a long day of training my warriors and taking care of pack business. Now that the large group of warlocks, witches, and hybrids have showed up my workload was only going to get greater, and I hoped that Hunter comes back soon with reinforcements. Last night was great with Rayne as we were able to be ourselves with each other and to see a smile on my mate’s face brought me joy. Rayne wasn’t used to the pack life of having people around her at all times and it was something I was going to have to wean her into. I could cl

Rayne’s POV It felt amazing to have the day to myself as I lounged on the oversized sectional and watched the television, something I haven’t done in a long time. The cabinets in the kitchen had a few items in them but nothing major and the refrigerator was sparce on food too. Reese and I would need to go grocery shopping if we were going to stay here. I was able to find some microwave popcorn and threw it in the microwave before I began watching another movie. The day seemed to be going by pretty quick watching the movies and I wondered how late Reese would be coming home. A noise that sounded like a thump came from the back porch. I pressed pause on the remote and got up and walked towards the back door to check out what made the noise. We were in the middle of the mountains and there were wild animals running the woods and I figured it was a raccoon or something on the porch. Looking out the window on the door I tried to look out to see if I could spot what it was. Unfortunate

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 71

Conner’s POV We carried Rayne’s grandmother into a guestroom in the packhouse. Rayne wouldn’t leave her side so she stayed in the bedroom while we all went to the meeting room to discuss what just happened and who had put the spell on her. Eve decided to go up to our bedroom for the night because she had no idea what was even going on and she was still pissed at Rayne’s grandmother even though it wasn’t really her. “Do we have any ideas who could have spelled her and sent her here?” Reese asked us. “Well, it’s not our mother.” Emma says first. “She wouldn’t have said what was said to me and by the sounds it the person despises her.” “I have to agree with Emma on that one but what is throwing me off is she called me son earlier.” I tell them and Reese then says, “I caught that too and my thoughts were your mother too, but maybe the person is trying to throw us off.” The Witch Doctor then says, “Whomever it is they are strong. It took all of us to break the spell. I don’t even

Reese’s POV It had been a long stressful day and all I wanted to do was go find Rayne and snuggle up to her and go to bed. After we finally decided to call it quits for the night, I headed to the guest bedroom where I assumed Rayne would still be with her grandmother. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see Constance by Rayne’s grandmother’s side. “Where is Rayne?” I asked her in almost a whisper not wanting to wake Rayne’s grandmother. “I told her to go get some fresh air.” Constance says to me back in a soothing voice. “Thank you.” I said as I turned around and shut the door gingerly. I couldn’t imagine the toll that this has taken on Rayne seeing her grandmother possessed by someone and then falling limp in front of her. Her grandmother was old and this would have taken a toll on her body and she is probably worried sick about her and her wellbeing. Opening the front door I took a step outside looking around and saw nothing and took a sniff of the air and didn’t s

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 73

Rayne’s POV I awoke to my body shivering as I pulled myself into a fetal position. The cold damp cement floor beneath me wasn’t helping warm me up either and I was afraid I was going into hypothermia. Then I felt a body curled around my back and I knew it was Conner by his touch as he pulled me into him. We were both naked but that didn’t really matter at a time like this. I needed heat and he was the only thing in the makeshift cell to provide it. Conner’s hot breath on my neck felt amazing and I focus on it instead of my freezing toes and fingers. But as I thought about the heat of his breath on my neck my body began to heat from the inside and desire for Conner began to rip through me. Conner’s hands begin to rub my arms in an act to warm them up but my body was mistaking it as pleasure and a moan slipped from my lips and I pushed my body closer to his. The rational side of me said to stop but the other side of me said to continue because it felt so good. His hands ran down my

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 74

Reese’s POV Last night I stayed at the packhouse and I barely got a wink of sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about Rayne being taken by a group of wolf hunters. I just don’t understand why her and Conner would go for a run together and especially why they would run off pack lands. None of this made any sense to me. The only reasonable explanation I could come up with was she was so distraught by what had happened to her grandmother that she just ran hard trying to forget everything that was going on and lost track of her surroundings. We are all guilty of letting our wolf make us feel free and that is the only explanation I can come up with. I know Conner wasn’t in his right mind when he left the meeting room and even though I am happy that he is with her now I worry he may try to work his way back into Rayne’s heart. A fear I believe I will have for the rest of my life knowing that the two of them are mates in her witch heritage, But I must remember that her mother chose to

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 75

Conner’s POV Rayne’s body finally stopped shivering as my body heat warmed her up. It felt amazing having her skin on my skin again and I almost don’t want this night to end. As Rayne slept in my arms she began to relax and her arms wrapped around me. Thankfully the hardness between my legs wasn’t waking her but it was keeping me awake. The room was now pitch black since there were no windows and they had turned out the lights for the night. Rayne’s body began to stir and I was worried she was getting cold again so I moved her slightly to pull her in better to me and that’s when her pussy slid across the tip of my cock. “Conner.” She then moans and I knew she is dreaming of me. I move one of my hands to her pussy and gently touch her and just what I thought she was dripping wet. Rayne must have felt my touch and her body started to move against my fingers, so I obliged and started to work her pussy with them. I dipped my head down to hers and the heat from me breathing is on her

Rayne’s POV “Rayne we are going to be late.” Reese yells for me as I add the finishing touches to my makeup. One year has passed since Reese brought me to the packhouse and so much has happened in that one year. But what matters the most in that one year is the relationships that were built and that I finally feel like I belong somewhere. Reese now steps into our bathroom and stands behind me and I lean back into his arms. “Baby you look beautiful. I don’t know why you are in here fussing with your makeup.” Reese says to me as he leans to my neck and places a kiss where his mark lays on my flesh. “It’s not everyday that my husband takes me out.” I teased him. “Well maybe he should take you out more often if you are going to dress like this.” He says as he places his hand on the bare flesh of my belly and then adds, “You know your heat should be coming soon and I thought maybe we might want to try for pup number two.” His hand started to move south of my belly and I elbowed hi

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 142

Rayne’s POV The sun was shining and the air smelled like fresh cut grass as I walked out of the backdoor of the packhouse onto the deck. I took a deep breath staring down the path between the chairs at my mate who looked stunning in his tuxedo. Everyone was standing and facing my way as I took a step forward towards the man of my dreams. There was no groom and bride side at our wedding because everyone here had become one big family. The seating was intermixed with wolves, warlocks, witches, hybrids, hell hounds and demons. Some had found love during the preparation of war and others had found an alliance. As I looked at them all sitting together, I realized that Joshua did quite the opposite of what he had set out to accomplish. Instead of conquering and dividing, it united us as friends and in some cases mates. Walking down the path I smiled at each and every one of them knowing that they were gathered here today to witness the love that Reese and I share and I was so grateful

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 141

Rayne’s POV Sal brought the SUV to a halt in front of the packhouse as he raced to the back seat to get Sarah. He gently picked her up and carried her inside where Reese was heading for the door. One of his men must have told him that we were coming in fast and worry plagued his face. He looked at me first and realized it was Sarah not me hurt this time. “What happened?” Reese said following Sal carrying her to the basement. “She needs to feed.” Is all Sal said as he walked her down the steps to the basement. The man behind the bars stood and looked our way when he saw Sal carrying Sarah’s limp body. “What happened to her?” The man asked behind the bars. “She needs to feed. Please help her.” Sal begged him. “Bring her to me.” The man said and Reese opened the door and Sal walked Sarah’s body into the cell and laid her on the small cot. The man lowered himself to her and placed his hands on each side of her face and then pressed his lips to hers. Sarah’s hand began to mov

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 140

Rayne’s POV My heart ached for Ethan seeing him in so much pain as Emma held onto to life by a thread. This wasn’t the way this was to end. We were all to grow old together, raising our children as friends. There had to be something that we could do to save her. When we got back to the packhouse I headed for the small library in hopes of finding something in one of the books to point me in the right direction to find someone to help Emma. I pulled a few books that looked promising from the shelves and took them over to the table and began to scan through them. Book after book I tossed aside finding nothing useful in them. The door opened and Sarah walked in but stopped when she saw me. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think anyone was in here.” She said and went to turn away. “Please don’t go. I could use someone to help me.” I said to her, knowing that she was an adamant reader. Sarah shut the door and walked over to me and asked, “What are you looking for?” “Something or anything th

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 139

Conner’s POV My mother and the Red Moon Covent lifted the spell off Canyon Ridge and the Covent members that had left returned to their homes along with the hybrids. None of my pack had perished during yesterday’s battle because the wolves did all they could to just wound them and not kill them. Hunter’s pack doctor looked over the wounded and bandaged them up and were sent to their homes to rest. I was so happy that my pack was going to be able to coexist with the Red Moon Covent and that we were all going to be able to reside in the same town. No one was going to be taken from their families and that was my number one concern. After a long conversation with my brother and Hunter about my mate, Eve, they decided it would be best for now to take her back with them to Crescent Moon pack so they could get her the help she needs. We weren’t sure if Joshua had her under a spell or if she had just been brainwashed by him but the one thing I knew was she needed to get help after she t

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 138

Rayne’s POV “Rayne.” I heard someone calling my name with the most angelic voice I have ever heard. When I open my eyes, I see a beautiful woman dressed in all white with long white hair and bluest eyes, I have ever seen. I thought I had died and went to heaven and she was an angel. Slowly I sit up and I look around at my surroundings and it has to be the most majestic place I have ever seen. A beautiful pond sits in front of me with flowers blooming everywhere and little fairies dance around the pond going from flower to flower. I look back at the woman and say, “Is this heaven?” A soft giggle comes from the woman before she says, “No my child this isn’t heaven. This is my realm where I live.” “I’m sorry but who are you? And why am I here?” I ask her confused. “My child I am the Moon Goddess. I am the creator of the wolves.” She says and I remember Reese telling me about her and Ella saying that her powers come from the Moon Goddess. “I don’t understand why I am here. Did

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 137

Rayne’s POV Reese had a SUV brought to the door for us while Christopher called his men and gave them a heads up that we were on our way and to keep an eye out for Joshua because he had escaped. I then began to worry if Christopher would go to the hospital to find my mother there, but I heard him tell them to double up on her protection detail. Reese pulled me into his arms and held me close to him and I knew he wasn’t happy that I was going with Christopher. Sal then appeared by my side and I knew that Reese had spoken to him because he said, “Are we ready to go?” Reese then placed a kiss on my lips and said, “Come back to me.” And those words hit me hard because they were the same words he had said to me the first time I went to Canyon Ridge after finding out I was a wolf and he was my mate. “I always do.” I said to him placing one last kiss on his lips before I pulled from his embrace and walked to the SUV where Sal now waited for me with the back door open for me to get in.

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 136

Rayne’s POV Slowly I made my way back through the tunnel and to the locker room. I had never been so happy in my life to see light and to breathe air that didn’t smell of rotten egg. The door was still open to the hallway and I proceeded with caution not knowing what was still going on. I know Joshua’s men had retreated to the building and I didn’t know if Conner had taken control or if they had overpowered him. As I walked through the hallways back to the large room, I heard a door shut coming from down the hall to my right. I stopped and listened to see if I could hear anyone talking or moving around but I heard nothing and I debated if I should go and check on it or just let it go. But then I wondered if it could be Joshua. We weren’t certain that he had taken the tunnels and for all we knew he could still be in the building. Of course, I couldn’t just keep walking, I had to check it out because I wanted nothing more than to get my hands on Joshua. As I walked down the hall t

  • Moon Spelled Mates   Chapter 135

Christopher’s POV “She isn’t your Luna. She is the Luna of the Ridge Moon pack who is here to take your army down.” I told Joshua. Joshua looked back towards Rayne amazed by her abilities. She was exactly what he was expecting his army of hybrids to be, but she was the only one strong enough to use both sides of her abilities. Not even his Alpha standing next to him possessed the strength that Rayne had and I know he knew that too. “Conner claim what is yours.” Joshua told Conner and that’s when Conner moved from his side and moved towards Rayne. I knew Conner would never hurt Rayne and I knew she was trying to lure him from Joshua side so when she took off running, I knew exactly what she was doing, and I wanted it this way. I wanted Joshua all to myself and Rayne was giving me this moment I have been dreaming of since I was imprisoned by him. Joshua’s attention went back to me once the Rayne and Conner’s wolves disappeared from our site and he says, “You are six years too
