Willow’s POV As if the rogue Alpha could sense that we were looking at him he turned and stared in our direction, but his eyes weren’t on Alpha Chance but on me. Being in a human public place we had to watch not to expose ourselves. Alpha Chance let out a low growl as he noticed that the rogue Alpha was staring at me and placed a possessive arm around me. The rogue Alpha and three of his men began to walk our way and Alpha Chance whispered to me, “Let me do the talking.” The rogue Alpha stopped about four feet in front of us and his eyes were still on me when he says, “And we meet again.” “I have not had the pleasure of meeting you. I am Alpha Chance and this is my territory.” Alpha Chance tells him but the rogue Alpha’s eyes are still on me as if he was studying me. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since our last meeting.” The rogue Alpha says to me ignoring Alpha Chance. Alpha Chance lets go of my hand and then steps in front of me blocking me from the rog
Chance’s POV I had all the shopping bags brought in from my car and taken to my room so that Willow could put her stuff away while Beta Shawn and I had a more private discussion on the matter at hand. There was something about this rogue Alpha that felt familiar to me and I couldn’t place my finger on it. It was as if I knew him in a past life and it was clawing at me that I couldn’t figure it out. “I know that look.” Beta Shawn says and then adds, “Something is eating at you.” “I am telling you, I know this rogue Alpha but I don’t know how. Maybe if Alpha Hunter sees him, he might be able to shed some light on who he is.” I tell Beta Shawn as I rub my temples from the headache that was throbbing in my head. It was as if something was blocking me from remembering parts of my past. “What are we going to do to make sure that Willow stays safe? You know he is going to come for her if he is that intrigued by her. Maybe we should send her somewhere until this is all over.” Beta Sha
Willow’s POV After I had put everything away that Alpha Chance had gotten me, I had wandered downstairs to his office to see how much longer he was going to be before he came upstairs for bed. I had come across of few of the sexy lingerie that he had snuck into the purchase at VS and wanted to surprise him with a thank you for everything he had done for me today and for the date, even though it got cut short. Spending alone time with him today made me realize that my feelings for him were growing stronger and I found myself thinking about him the whole time I was unpacking the shopping bags. To think about how I wanted him to reject me, that first day, sent pain to my heart now after I had gotten to know him and how he is so good to me. He was definitely not the man I had thought he would have been the first time I had met him in his office. Alpha Chance was kind and loving and cared about me and my safety but most of all he proved to me today that he would never leave me. He said
Chance’s POV When I woke this morning with Willow in my arms, I felt like the luckiest Alpha alive. Her tiny body fit so perfectly against me and I loved the way her bare flesh felt against mine. We had been up late last night and I didn’t have it in me to wake her, even though I wanted to spend more time with her before she left for Crescent Moon. So instead of waking her I held her in my arms and watched her peacefully sleep, until I got word that Alpha Hunter had arrived. Without waking her I got dressed, wrote her a note for when she woke, and headed downstairs to meet my cousin. To my surprise when I entered the meeting room he was not alone. Alpha Conner and Alpha Reese were with him and I wondered why he had brought so much backup. Did he find something out about the rogue Alpha overnight? “Alpha Hunter, is something more going on then I know?” I asked him curiously, looking at Alpha Conner and Alpha Reese. “There was another attack and it has become a council issue tha
Willow’s POV The ride to Crescent Moon brought heartache to my soul as a part of me felt like I would never see my mates again. Something about this whole situation didn’t sit right with me but I was just a she wolf and not considered a warrior like the men of the Red Moon pack. Even though I was now the Luna of the pack, I could clearly see that Alpha Chance was reluctant to share the details with me that the Alphas had been discussing this morning. Not wanting to overstep my bounds with him, I held in all my thoughts on the situation and did as he asked of me. Being shipped off to Crescent Moon, made me feel like a prized possession, being kept hidden from a conqueror. There was something about this rogue Alpha that didn’t sit right with me and I had no clue what this feeling was I had about him. Once all the fear I had for him was put aside, I felt like there was something off about him. New to the wolf world, I have only learned what has been taught to me and what books of our
Willow’s POV Never have I ever lost control of my wolf before. We had always been as one from the moment she showed herself to me, but I knew she was unhappy with me and our new surroundings. To tell her she was no longer a warrior was like taking everything away from her that she had put her heart and soul into becoming to make us worthy in our old pack. I knew this had to be the reason that she took control as I sat in the passenger seat and watched as the forest around us flashed past us. Alpha Caleb’s words of it not being safe for me to be away from the packhouse haunted my thoughts as my wolf ran further into the forest, but these thoughts only made my wolf run faster and harder trying to distance us from there. It was unlike my wolf to not follow a direct order, but she was no longer just a wolf in a pack, she was a Luna and I felt like she wasn’t taking orders from anyone anymore. As my wolf took a hard right, I realized that we were now being followed. The sounds of how
Willow’s POV Honestly, I believed that I had died at that moment, because the darkness then began to fade away and I was in the most beautiful meadow I have ever seen, and I wondered if this was heaven. A small pond caught my eye and I walked towards it as the full moon light beamed off its mirror-like surface. What I thought at first to be fireflies, actually were little fairy-like creatures, dancing around the pond as they went flower to flower collecting something from them. There was no way I was any longer on the earth’s plane as I took in the majestic beauty before me. “Willow, my child.” I heard an angelic voice say from behind me. Turning I came face to face with a beautiful woman who looked like an angel all dressed in white. “Is this heaven and are you an angel?” I asked her as I looked around at the meadow that we were standing in. The woman then giggled and said, “No Willow, this is my home, and I am not an angel. I am the Moon Goddess.” Shock filled me as I stared
Chance’s POV It was as if the rogue Alpha had us running in circles trying to track him down. Alpha Hunter had his best trackers with us and we were still unsuccessful even getting a lead on which direction he was heading. I had never seen anything like this before and neither had Alpha Hunter. Between the two of us and our trackers we had them pointing in the direction of four different packs and we knew that couldn’t be the case, unless the pack of rogues was much larger than we thought. All I wanted to do was get this over with so that I could bring my Luna home safely to me. It had only been a day and my wolf and I are sickened that we had sent her away, even though we knew it was best for her and her safety. But as we ran in circles trying to find the rogues, I’m starting to believe that I should have kept her close to me and something inside of me was telling me that she wasn’t safe where she was. After a full day of hunting for the rogues we ended up back at my packhouse
