Chapter 19:- Painting

“What do you think about this painting?” I asked Cassius while putting the finishing touches on my painting.

“It’s so beautiful,” Cassius said while examining every detail of the painting. “You’ve put a lot of work into this piece and I could see that. You know, you should open an art gallery. It would be profitable.”

I smiled. “I have been dreaming about it since the day my father sold his art gallery.” A weight settled on my heart when old memories awakened in my head. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to open it again.”

Cassius came closer to me and placed his hands on my shoulder gently. “I can help you if you let me help you.”

I looked at him, surprised. “Are you for real?”

His brows snapped together. “Of course, I’m not joking.”

“We barely know each other, Cassius.”

“So what?”

I shook my head in disbelief. I had never expected this from him. What he had done for me was more than enough. And I wanted nothing from him. I didn’t want Luther to hate me more than he was alrea
