The doctor met his end

In a dimly lit room, the surgeon who had conducted Darren's surgery sat with a large alcohol bottle in front of him. With each glass, he was slipping further and further down the rabbit hole. Due to his own action, he was in a hopeless depressive state. He had his phone in front of him, with an email being written and waiting to be sent to the person he wanted to let know what had happened.

The doorbell rang at that precise moment, causing his finger to stop on the send button. He had to get up and walk to the door because no servants were there in his home as per his request due to his demand for privacy.

He unlocked the door thinking it was the meal he had ordered online, but when he half opened it, he saw a familiar face staring back at him. The visage of the person standing outside of his building had abruptly taken away the drowsiness he had acquired after finishing one bottle of whiskey.
