Cornell and Jessica had both been transported to the emergency room. When Ben got there, the road was a complete wreck, and he stuttered in terror. The crash was so terrifying to narrate and he was unable to determine how violent it was. Ben discovered Liam holding Cornell as Jessica lay still on the car's hood.

He was perplexed, though, as he approached Liam and saw tears in his eyes. Ben could sense Liam was distressed and emotional, and due to this Liam was unable to explain himself in front of Ben. Liam was in such a dreadful situation, which probably no one had ever witnessed before.

Ben turned to face Liam, who was silent since the moment Cornell and Jessica were taken to the hospital's emergency department. He remained steadfastly in his seat despite the fact that all of his people had already arrived at the hospital and were urging him to visit the doctor for a check; he was only willing to leave when he learned that Cornell and Jessica were okay.
