chapter seventy eight

Anna woke up and when she looked out her window it was dark out, she immediately got up from her bed and opened the adjoining door that led to Emma's room but her daughter wasn't there. She checked her heart monitor on her phone and saw that everything was all right.

She put on her slippers, left her room and ran down the stairs to find Emma. As she reached the bottom of the stairs she could hear her daughter's laughter coming from the dining.

She walked in there and she found Dylan and Emma, sitting down on Emma's playmat. Emma was dressing Dylan up with her toys and stickers while Dylan tried to work on his laptop.

Emma was the first to see Anna and then she ran to her mother. “Mummy, you're awake!” She screamed and Anna carried her up and held her against her chest, relieved that she was ok.

“Yes sweet girl, what are you up to?” Emma asked her daughter as she wiggled her way out of Anna's arms and ran back to her playmat.
