Chapter One Hundred-Fifty Nine

It was Tasha.

Seeing them in that position, her jaw dropped. She walked in, her lips curling into a naughty smile as she gazed at Amira in surprise, then closed the door behind her.

Lucas, getting angry, demanded to know, "Who the hell are you?"

Amira quickly replied, "She's my friend, Tasha."

He raised an eyebrow in astonishment. "Your friend?"

"Actually, we were heading to have some girls' night out when I got your call," Amira explained.

He frowned. "You mean… she came with you?"

She nodded, chuckling nervously. "I told her to wait outside in the car and to come in 30 minutes later if I didn’t call or message her." She gulped, glancing at Tasha.

Tasha tapped her wristwatch and mouthed, "Yeah, it's not quite 30 minutes, but I got curious."

Amira grumbled, "Seriously, Tasha?"

Lucas huffed, "So, you didn't trust me?"

Amira shook her head. "No, it's not that. I just didn't want to ditch her."
