Losing Her

When Izabelle and Rosie left the restaurant and got to Marcel’s condo it was already past twilight and they found him on the couch waiting for them to return as he wasn’t doing anything. Rosie ran to her daddy.

“Daddy,” she hugged him tightly and he carried her on his thighs. “Daddy Sie Sie missed you.”

“Daddy missed you too. How was your outing with Aunt Ruby?”

Rosie smiled. She turned around to see the bags of gifts that the servants were carrying into the house. “Aunt Ruby got those for me.”

“That much? She must really like our Sie Sie a lot.”

The child excitedly nodded. It was a known fact that Ruby loved her a lot. She was sure that everyone knew about it. She was loved by almost everyone.

“That’s good then.”

“Daddy, I’ll go check my gifts in my room. I want to know what Aunt Ruby got for me,” she climbed off her father’s thighs and ran into the house to her room where her gifts were being kept. After the child left, Marcel turned to look at Izabelle who was having a glass of wa
