Asher’s POV

We had just finished a meeting and I didn’t even hear a word of what they had said. All the bills passed and all the workers asking for my opinions on things and all I could do was grunt in their direction.

They could all tell that I had my mind set on something else. My subordinates all knew that something was wrong somewhere.

I was thinking of my children and how I would bond with them. They were really important to me.

How I had missed their opening childhood pained me more than I would love to admit, and even when I deserved it I promised myself that I would be a better person from now on.

I would not leave them to be by themselves anymore. They needed a father and that was why I was going to be in their lives from now on.

I had missed enough already, I would not miss anymore.

“Sir,” a board member called as I shuddered to reality to see the meeting had ended yet I was still at my table.

“What is it?” I closed my eyes, leaning my head back.

“Are you okay?
