Mo Shan's point of view

Mo Shan didn't even sleep a wink the whole night. Seeing Yun Xi furrowing her brows, murmuring and sweating, he was nervous, so he sat by her side and wiped the sweat from her forehead and hands from time to time. Finally, after which seemed like one hour, she calmed down and slept peacefully.

He kept looking at her sleeping face with a gentle gaze and after some time, he stood up and walked to one corner, and sat on the sofa there. Since it was a VIP ward, there were comfortable sofas for visitors.

He kept sitting there looking at her until "Ding" sounded from his cell phone. Then only, he took off his eyes from her and took out his cell phone from his pocket.

It was the notification of the email which was from Assistant Zhang. It was the report about Yun Xi which he had ordered. He looked at the time and realized that it was already 3 am in morning.

"Good work. You can have a day off tomorrow.", he replied to Assistant Zhang.

On the other side of the phone, when Assistant Zhang saw his boss's reply, he couldn't believe it. 'Was that really his boss? Did his boss just give him a day off? That was impossible, right?', he wondered. He rechecked the message to confirm whether it was really from his boss.

After confirming that it was really from his boss, he suddenly felt as if he was blessed by his ancestors to actually have the privilege of getting a day off from his boss. He thanked his ancestors and boss several times before going to bed.

In the hospital ward, Mo Shan then opened the email and began to read the report. Mo Shan could see that it was a detailed report so he praised Assistant Zhang in his heart again.

Through the report, Mo Shan even found out that Yun Xi was about to be adopted by Song Yi but she pledged with Song Yi to adopt Song Kun instead of her.

"Song Kun", he murmured; his eyes turning cold.

He continued reading the file and found out that even though Song Yi didn't adopt her, she took the responsibility for her education. He also came to know that she was in a relationship with the same guy named Song Kun and that they even got engaged. But then he ditched her for another girl.

"Stupid B*stard", he murmured. Then, he realized that his emotions had got out of control. He quickly scanned the room to check if someone has heard him and when saw that there was no one in the room, he cleared his throat and continued to read the report as if nothing had happened.

Mo Shan also discovered that Yun found out about her pregnancy just that day, the very day when she broke up with her fiancée.

Seeing this information, he turned off his cell phone and looked towards Yun Xi who was sleeping peacefully now.

It took him nearly 1- 1 and half hours to finish reading the report. He learned many things about her that day. He didn't even think that he would get to meet her again and that too like this.

It was already dawn when Yun Xi finally fluttered her eyes showing the sign of awakening. Looking at her trying to open her eyes, Mo Shan took his cellphone out and messaged Doctor Wang, "Bring some food suitable for a pregnant woman." After messaging Doctor Wang, Mo Shan put his cell phone back into his pocket not bothering to check the reply.

When Mo Shan saw that Yun Xi was awake but was confused about her whereabouts, he asked in his cool voice, "Awake?"

He was trying to act cool but actually very nervous inside, "Will she remember me? What do I do if she remembers me and what do I do if she doesn't remember me?" These thoughts were really making him nervous.

But, she behaved as if she was still not awake completely as she just kept staring at the ceiling instead of searching for him. So, he spoke again to garner her attention, "Still not awake?"

That's when she came into the sense and looked for the source of the voice. Then, she slowly turned her head towards him.

Mo Shan heard her saying handsome looking towards him. It would be a lie if he said that he was not surprised and also a little bit happy hearing her calling him handsome. Then he heard her asking who he was and if he knew her. It was like someone had poured cold water all over his body and he stiffened.

Coming back into sense, he replied to all her questions patiently and even satirized her by telling her that she was the one who came in front of his car.

Then, he heard her thanking him but also denying his words by saying that it was his car that came rushing towards her.

Mo Shan knew at that moment that Yun Xi has fallen into his trap. He smirked slightly, which Yun Xi obviously missed catching. He then asked her if her words meant that he should take responsibility for her.

Mo Shan could see that Yun Xi was stunned hearing his reply.

When she tried to deny his words, Mo Shan cut off her and told her to get married to him.

Even Mo Shan himself could not believe that he had said those words, but it just came out of his mouth before he could stop it.
