Why would I need inspiration to kill someone.... I just have to go ahead and kill them and be done with it, it's not as big a deal as this." The little girl replied,
Once again, Kalen and his pack warriors had to pick their jaws off the ground.'Killing someone was not a big deal?! How can a child like this exist??' Kalen's beta thought to him through their mindlink, Kalen did not respond, he also did not have a reply to that.
"You even know the meaning of murder? How old are you? Are you even human?!" Kalen's third-in-command asked again in alarm, the little girl's forehead rumpled slightly as she frowned in annoyance at the question posed by Kalen's third.
"What are you even talking about? Am I daft? Who doesn't know the meaning of murder? I'm 4 years old and you're the one who's not human!" The little girl threw back at him furiously, Kalen's third-in-command seemed at a loss for words and was unable to retort.
(Third in command's thoughts: A 4 year old says killing is not a big deal? How can you say you're human, where's your conscience?!")
(Pack warriors thoughts: Ah, third in command, you shouldn't feel bad, the little girl is right in anycase, you truly cannot be considered human, none of us are...)
"Calm down first and explain it to us..." Kalen solicited softly in an attempt to calm the furious four year old.
(Third in command's thoughts: Calm down?! Who is he telling to calm down? She said I'm not human! I'm the one who was cursed at! I should be the one being pacified...are you truly choosing this little brat over me?! What about our brotherhood? Alpha! Consider my years of diligent service!!!)
The little girl sighed, taking off her back pack and pulling out a huge sketch book, she handed it over to Kalen and after receiving her permission, Kalen flipped it open.
Kalen gasped in surprise at the beautifully drawn landscapes within, the pack warriors immediately shifted closer to Kalen to catch a glimpse but not close enough to trigger Kalen's anger.
"You drew all this?!" Kalen asked the little girl in astonishment.
Although the drawings were a little messy and not completely perfect but for a 4 year old it should not be possible to draw this beautifully, it looked to have been drawn by a teenager with reasonable artistic training.
"Yes, they are mostly my rough work. The more perfect duplicates are kept at home so I don't lose them, I carry this around to quickly sketch anything that catches my eye so when I return home I can draw it out more beautifully, I'm an aspiring artist... obviously." The little girl explained before pausing thoughtfully and looking around her.
The little girl retrieved her sketchbook, pulling out her pencils and a huge flashlight which she handed to Kalen, she adjusted her position so she was sitted on the ground with her back to Kalen.
She sat facing a huge oak tree, the flash light gave light to both her sketchbook and the tree and she began sketching it, talking as she drew.
"Dad loves my artwork but still does not want me taking it as a full time career, he wants me to join the company when I'm old enough so I'll probably take a course in the business field, I don't see the point since my big brother is a genius and will take good care of the company, I would have refused but even big brother wants me to do so, I'm not opposed to the idea either, I don't know what my plans for my art are, I just see it as a passion and a way to express myself for now, so I'll definitely take a course in business." She stopped and let out a devastated sigh, while I was engrossed in her words, her beautiful voice warmed my heart and I also was eager to know her better so I encouraged her with a question.
"Why the sigh?" I asked with concern and she sighed again.
"This time, Dad dragged Deji and I on a business trip here, it's my first time being out of my country you know, and the plane ride was extremely tiring, not to mention I thought we'd stay back at the villa and recuperate but we immediately had to change as Dad insisted on dragging Deji and I to the meeting as well...a six hour business meeting!,
"You smell good, I see why he's so taken with you, you've always been quite an interesting one." Jason declared, giving me a look that said he knew something I didn't.I furrowed my brows, staring carefully at him, a sense of familiarity bubbled up within me as it had when I had met Aiden, Wren, Johan and Alpha... I frowned, but brushed it off, it was probably just my imagination or something, there was no way I wouldn't recall meeting men like this, between their god like looks, character, imposing aura's and intimidating presence, all in all they weren't the kind of people that could be easily forgotten."Shut up and do your job Jason." Alpha said glaring at the doctor, he instantly became serious and got to work while I sat still and let him poke and prod at my head, my mind however was calculating the instant change in Jason's attitude at Alpha's words, guys didn't usually react so well to being ordered, and someone as playful as Jason should be angered when told to sh
Miwa's POV~My eyes fluttered open and I lifted a hand to my face sleepily, rubbing my tired eyes."Oh how cute!" A voice cooed, so alarmingly close to my ears."HOLY FUCK!!!" I screamed in shock, tumbling off the bed and landing in an embarrassing heap on the carpeted floor. The mystery person burst into boisterous laughter even as my door was slammed open and Alpha and Wren rushed to my aid."What the hell happened here?!" Wren asked the mystery guy, while Alpha glared murderously at him."Nothing...she saw me and just freaked out..." He said innocently, I stood up fiercely, rubbing my sore bottom, Alpha and Wren exchanged a puzzled look before glancing at me questioningly."What the fuck do you mean by nothing... I woke up to a stranger all up in my face cooing at me, what was I supposed to do? Shout hallelujah?!" I yelled angrily, glaring at the mysterious blonde haired guy that looked suspiciously similar to Wren, except he was missing a good
"What I meant was... I have had enough of your goons breathing down my neck, I don't need a baby sitter, you already barred all the windows and you keep me locked in... is it necessary for him to be here?" I asked in annoyance, he gave me a blank look and nodded.I sighed in frustration knowing that was all the answer I would be getting.' it seems like I have to use my secret weapon.' I thought.I rose to my feet but quickly lifted a hand to my head as I swayed and the ground came rushing to my face, Alpha rushed to my side, catching me before I could fall."Let me go." I whispered weakly, staring dazedly up at him, his eyes widened in panic and he placed a hand on my head, I flinched away from his touch."It hurts, don't touch it." I said referring to my head injury, it hadn't completely healed up and still bled a little."I'll get a doctor." Alpha said, turning to Wren, I grabbed his hand, shaking my head weakly."I'm fine... I just haven'
Miwa's POV~"Stop glaring at me!" Wren yelled exasperatedly and I scoffed, my glare not moving from him, we had been like this for over an hour now and I had blatantly ignored all his pleas, I didn't plan on looking away anytime soon, I'd stare him to death!"Miwa... it's not like I want to be here either." He explained pitifully, I frowned."Then leave!" I snapped angrily. It had been two days since I attempted to escape which meant it has been four days since I was kidnapped. For the past two days, Wren was assigned to monitor me and damn he did his job well. He watched me like a hawk, I only had peace when I was in the bathroom and even then he'd come knock frequently to make sure I was still there, despite knowing all the windows had been barred, it wasn't like I could vanish or diffuse through the walls. He spent the whole day with me and at night Aiden guarded outside my door."It's not my call." He replied seriously, I sighed."Get me that Alpha
"Hmm, seems like you caught me, that was quite fast, I must be loosing my touch.... however I'd have to turn down your request, I'd rather stay up here." She replied coldly, my wolf whined within me at her hateful tone."Please come down Miwa." Wren said to her, she scoffed."You will have to come get me yourselves." She replied back, I growled."Stop being difficult." I said, she raised a brow at me."Difficult? Who, me? The same me who currently has a head injury inflicted by you? If you think this is me being difficult then you haven't seen difficult yet, I'm just getting started." She said with spite, I growled before moving back slightly and leaping into the air, landing on the branch she sat on, she stared at me with wide eyes."You... what exactly are you?" She asked me in a shocked tone, I shrugged, pulling her into my arms and jumping off the tree, landing perfectly on my feet, her already wide eyes widened further and it would have been funny if it
Kalen's POV~I glared furiously at Wren and he took a cautious step back, Aiden stared warily between the both of us.I struggled to reign in my fury as images of my bleeding mate kept flashing through my mind, I had hurt her, I had hurt her with my own hands, when Wren told me he had left his cellphone there, I instantly panicked, it wasn't that anyone she called would make a difference but I really didn't want to get her family involved because I knew that anyone who tried to take her away from me would get seriously hurt. She probably hates me now, not like she didn't before but now it would be worse, I was so angry I wanted to beat the stupidity out of Wren but I pushed down that urge, what happened was also my fault, infact I was more at fault as I had been the one to slam the door open with such force, when I saw her crumpled on the floor bleeding, all my anger vanished, my heart froze up within me in fear, I knew the extent of damage my Alpha strength could cau
