Chapter 55: Inappropriate Compliment

My phone started vibrating against the nightstand which woke me up. I swiped right on the screen without looking at the caller’s ID.

“Hellooo?” I slurred groggily.

“Good afternoon, Isabella.” Somebody greeted me from the other side.

“Uhmm, who?” I didn’t recognize the voice in sleepiness.

“Liam here.” He answered calmly and my eyes widened. I sat up straight abruptly, rubbing off the sleep from my eyes.

He chuckled. “I called you to ask if we can meet & discuss some things about the project. I have some ideas in mind for it, also we could do lunch together if it’s okay with you…..?” He sounded uncertain.
