Chapter 18: Revenge

The following day, I woke up early and left immediately as I didn't want to face him. The stay was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with each passing day and I was eagerly counting down the days until the agreed period was over.

John didn't visit the company that day because he had some work to do at his place. However, he took the time to inquire about my well-being, which made me feel better. Despite my feelings for the arrogant Italian bastard, I couldn't help but appreciate John's kindness. He was such a great guy that I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to flirt with him if I wasn't in love with someone else.

The day was busy and fast-paced, but when I finally got a chance to look at my phone, I saw that I had missed 20 calls from Alexander and 2 calls from my friend Saira. It was unusual for Saira to miss work, so I decided to call her after dinner to find out what was going on. Before that, I planned to talk to Alexander and settle everything once and for all!
