TERRA'S POV:

A WEEK LATER:

Today I was meeting with my friends for lunch on a Saturday Afternoon, and our kids were with Gary and though I dropped the kids off, he looked tired already and I simply laughed at him giving him words of encouragement before leaving.

Sarah, Cara and Morgan were already seated there and I sighed deeply when I saw Cara from afar sitting in floral patterned summer dress out of my company's collection, I had still not told her what happened with her brother as I had been really busy but I'm guessing with how petty of a man Connor was, he just might have told her already.

The restaurant was situated in one of the club houses. I had resolved to not sign to their membership because most members were snobs and basically all they did was gossip about another person. Nonetheless, I could at least enjoy access to the beautiful restaurant as Morgan and Cara were members as they had declined Sarah's request to be a member and she had only shared that information with

TERRA'S POV:Cara continued."I have been nothing but good to you since I met you and yet you decide to hurt one of the people I love the most in the whole world and you still expect me to be all smiles with you? And even thinking or suggesting that I would try to harm your kids knowing I would never pay your evil back to you. I really don't even think there's anything to work out between us, we can never be friends again. You broke my trust and hurt me, so just get out of here.” She ended her long speech. After she was done speaking, the ladies on the table nearby turned to look at us and Sarah and Morgan looked stunned. I, on the other hand, scoffed and chuckled humorlessly.“To be quite frank, I expected this reaction from you, so I'm not even that stunned. You must be delirious to think I am lonely and if I was, do you think your brother will be the type of man for me? You think I need an extra kid on my hands? And you want that to be the father to my kids? Are you kidding me? Tha

TERRA'S POV:THE NEXT DAY:I had just received a call from James who informed me that he and Ivy were coming over after I had declined his invitation earlier to go bowling with a few of his friends. I knew some of his friends like Adam, Kendrick, and while Adam was a family oriented man, as expected Kendrick was an entirely different being. A player and unlike the two of them who owned their own corporations, he was a regular guy working in a bank, who ends the day at a bar searching for a woman to spend the night with. Not like he had to search as he was a handsome man.The reason I knew so much about him was because he never felt the need to hide this from me. He was open about his life and shenanigans. But he had a big heart and he loved spoiling the kids.I was picking out an outfit while my babies were laying on my bed playing a game on their tablet. “Which of these?” I asked them, walking towards them in a white robe showing them my two options of cloth ideas. They were both ca

TERRA'S POV:AN HOUR LATER:The kids were at the arcade going from one game to the next and I ate out of my Princess Cotton candy watching her and Ivy dance on the machine earning points while Eric was playing a car race game looking so into it like it was a life or death situation. Meanwhile, we were still awaiting the arrival of his friends.“Here you go.” James handed me a cup of iced coffee and I smiled appreciating him and he took a seat next to me.“So what's going on with you?” He looked at him confused while I opened my straw and placed it inside the cup and took a quick sip and instantly got refreshed savoring its sweet taste. It was so perfect!“What do you mean?” He scrunched up his eyebrow keeping his gaze on me.“Ivy told me you couldn't braid her hair last night even after you've been doing it to perfection for more than ten years now, plus your attention seemed to be divided earlier. I know it's only when something is bothering you, you get so disorganized.” He looked a

JAMES POV:MONDAY:“I love the sky, the birds chirping, and the bright days.” Ivy and I were singing as I was driving her to school. I smiled listening to her and realized she was growing up so fast and to be honest, I was scared for her teens due to the fact that she wouldn't want to hang out with me anymore, she being rude and completely disrespectful to me, I just didn't want that especially our dad-daughter fun night where at least once a week I do anything she wants such as painting each other's nails, wearing a sheet mask and all those girls stuff.I tried my absolute best to fill in the void her mother left, it was still shocking that it was over ten years since the passing of her mother.I smiled glancing at her as she sat in the passenger's seat, her eyes glued to her phone but her mouth moved to the sound of the music. I had helped her curl her hair since I woke up early and all morning, she had been blushing and grinning because I couldn't help but tell her she looked like

JAMES POV:“The look on your face is scaring me, was it that bad?” He laughed as he continued to look at me walking to where I was seated.“All I can say is I expected more.” I exited out of the gaming site and gave him my full attention.“I will talk to her because I felt the same way as well. Anyways, I sent a copy of the reviews of the new game to your email. And you have a meeting with Whitney Dia, in about….” He glanced at his watch and stared at me, “Ten minutes, which gives you enough time to tell me all that has been going on with you and Miss Billionaire.”He took a seat and looked at me with expectation and I exhaled deeply amused at his curious stare and after a long time, I said,” Nothing dude.”He sucked his teeth, irritated by my response, “If you weren't my boss, I would have squeezed you and tossed you in the bin.” I bursted out laughing at that.“She just seems to have a lot going on now, so I'm staying away.” He looked at me skeptically as I could tell he didn't beli

JAMES’ POV:THE SAME DAY:“Now that was intense but cutting off all that crap and Tom boy shit, she was actually really pretty or am I just seeing things?” Walter asked as soon as I returned back into the office after eating my lunch and arriving at a decision. He followed behind me and shut the door.I looked at him weirdly and got comfortable on my seat glancing at the picture of myself and my daughter and noticed that the frame had been slightly moved from its position, so I readjusted it. I needed everything to always be organized.“What? You don't think she was attractive? Not even in the slightest way?” Walter asked and I stared at me with a blank expression and that served as a response and he shook his head at me waving me off.“Miss Billionaire must really have you wrapped around her fingers and with all due respect, I totally get it.” He said drifting to thought.“Get back to work, Walter and make an appointment for dinner at Le Jerean for tonight.” I instructed and he looke

JAME'S POV:“Oh welcome, Mr Lauder. I appreciated the lady after arriving at my table which already had a bottle of champagne in a bucket of ice and the table of two was romantic. The atmosphere in the air was pleasant and the smell of wine and fragrance of perfume filled the air and the soft violin playing added to the night's perfection. I placed the flower on the table and glanced at the time on my watch and saw that it was twenty minutes after seven. I texted Catherine to check up on her as she had told me earlier that she would dr

I appreciated every single person seated in this room and even those who weren't here. TERRA'S POV:THREE MONTHS LATER:“How busy are you? ‘Cause I was thinking we can go out for lunch so I can make it up to you.” Ross suggested, and I rolled my eyes playfully at him. He knew I was mad at him for him being mad at me for worrying too much and stressing out about the kids as it was their first day at a new school. It had just been hard since the welcome party and literally settling in Salandi was hard for me in a way that it was hard for the kids.“I'm actually extremely busy right now, and I will be heading to Nina's trial as today is the sentencing. Later tonight?” I suggested and he heaved out a sigh, obviously displeased at the fact that I was headed to Nina's trial but I needed to be there. I just had the need. Everyone had been totally stunned hearing that Mrs Morris had killed herself and it was all over the news. Everyone in the golf clubs, and the elites titled the Morris as a pure disgrace, shame and waste. And I truly did not care, as long as my kids and I got

Hot tears ran down through her cheeks and her chest rose up and fell repeatedly. “Everyone will view my daughter as a criminal. How could I have given birth to such a useless being? So freaking useless!” She hit the television stand in anger and shook her head.“I have already lost. I have nothing again, no way to clear my name out of Nina's stupidity. I failed as a mother, as an elite woman in society, as everything. I am just as useless and I can't live with it….I just can't.” She cried out and continued mumbling the last sentence as she walked into the room. She grabbed a rope in her closet, mumbling the

3RD POV:A DAY LATER:Terra held onto Eleanour who was sleeping on her lap while holding onto her father's hand as he was sitting next to her on the couch fighting the sleep forming in his eyes. He hadn't closed his eyes ever since the kids were kidnapped. It had been a rough twenty four hours for everybody and for Ross's little family, it had been a rough 72 hours. They had been able to give the old woman and her grandson the sum of a million for their help in finding Nina and the family was given the media space to be able to show their appreciation to Ross and Terra, letting them know it will go a long way in pulling them out of the hand to mouth lifestyle they had been living especially since the grandmother was single handedly raising the boy.“Mummy.” Eric called out from his bed with droopy eyes, and she waved at him with a smile trying her best not to wake Eleanour who was finding it hard to close her eyes.Eric was not shot neither was Ross but Terra still requested he stayed

3RD POV:AN HOUR LATER:Asian was drained and tired but she took great compassion on the twins especially Eleanour, seeing her as a young version of Amber who was sad and always needed her. Which is why she was more than happy when she saw that Nina had left a glass cup on a high table where farmers usually kept stuff for their animals and it was next to them. Her plan was simple, hit it repeatedly till the glass shatters to the floor, afterwards she would move in her seat and with her back facing away, she would hand Eric the glass to unloose the ropes on his hands carefully, afterwards he would unloose both hers and Eleanours. Then they run out to the nearest farm or police station and get help. And safe! This is a solid plan after all …I can do it, what could possibly go wrong? Asian thought to herself, and like an annoying best friend, her mind pictured all the different possibilities of what could happen.“I'm going to try and get us out of here.” She mumbled and the kid's mouth

But coming here, it was just the regular day to day activities and then trips during the holiday but coming here made me realize there's a lot more to life. And I just think…everything happens for a reason and I have experienced all I need to here.” The fact that he didn't hold me accountable or become harsh to me made me feel bad for yelling at Ross and his mother…for another person's action.“I have been thinking about moving away as well. Morgan and Sarah have been calling me everyday since they heard of this. And I totally feel the same way you felt about here and Aurenia except I didn't find the love of my life here.” We both chuckled weakly and he responded, “Yeah okay.”As they both discussed more about moving back, unbeknownst to them Ross and Evelyn, who was bringing breakfast, ove

TERRA'S POV:A DAY LATER:It had been more than 35 hours since I had last seen my kids and since the kidnapping. A flier with Nina's face had been posted everywhere and according to my friends and Fiona, the entire police force was working on it.But it was just Nina….what was so hard about finding and capturing her?I had just been numb, and I could neither eat nor sleep. Last night, when I couldn't sleep, I snuck out in my own mansion in order to prevent Evelyn, who was literally everywhere, from waking up. I drove in one of my old sports cars, which allowed the cool night breeze to run through my body and blow away the tears which kept flowing and I drove to weird looking areas, banishing the thought that I might be robbed, and showed them images of Nina if they had come across her but they had nothing.A particularly shabby looking man asked for some money before providing answers, feigning that he recognised her and as soon as I handed him money, he tucked it into his pocket and

Who is this? I just found this in the dumpster ... .What did this woman do though I don't have a television so I need some drama?” Ross clung to his hand with so much force, Chandler thought he would crush it so he quickly collected it from Ross.“Okay…okay…A dumpster where?
