I awoke abruptly, my eyelids fluttering open to reveal the stark white ceiling above me. The dream I had just been immersed in was so vivid and tangible that it took me a moment to anchor myself back in reality.

I had dreamt of being bound and left for dead, only to be rescued by Alpha Asher. The memory of his strong arms enveloping me and his voice whispering reassurances in my ear felt so real that I could almost believe it had actually happened.

As I lay there, the reality of my situation began to dawn on me. I wasn’t in Jonas’s room but in Asher’s. The warm glow that seem to be familiar with his room was present. His scent, a comforting reminder of his presence, lingered in the air.
