Getting back to the hospital, Eve walked straight to her father’s room. The two security guards that she had placed there bowed their heads as she walked in slowly. He was still asleep and according to the doctor, he would wake anytime soon and his brain needed rest as well. She sighed as she walked to his bedside and took a seat beside him on the bed.

She was feeling so bad. Her father was lying in this damn bad with oxygen and other machines connected to him and dear lord, it was all her fault. God help her that he comes out of this.

“Father,” she called and held his hand.

“I'm so sorry that this happened. It's all my fault but don't you worry. I already punished the offender. Hence, I'm not going to let anyone trample on us and go Scott-free. I gave her what she deserved.”

Before she knew it, tears started dripping from her eyes. She sniffled before continuing.
