Chapter 59

Jasmine woke up again, like every other day, and sighed as she stared at the ceiling of her long-occupied room. The room felt quiet and empty, as if devoid of life. Jasmine felt bored with the routine accompanied only by books and a few paintbrushes. On her right side, there were more than 20 paintings she had scribbled according to her feelings at the time.

With laziness, Jasmine pulled back the thick blanket covering her body. The chains on her legs that still bound her reminded her of this invisible prison. The bedroom door was open, but Jasmine didn't care much. Whoever came—whether it was a servant, Alex, or Seth—didn't change anything.

"Miss, your meal is ready," said the servant carrying a tray of food. Jasmine didn't respond, just stared blankly at her paintings. The servant stood for a moment, waiting.
