Let's get them divorced

The next morning, Ella woke up to a bright ray of sunlight from the balcony shining into her eyes.

She turned her head to look to the left, the pillow was empty. She suddenly remembered that today was Sunday, the staff was off, but David had an important client meeting so he went to work early in the morning.

Ella got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Naughty in the water, she brought her hand to her lips. David's kiss was still lingering around her lips.

After showering, Ella sat on the bed texting David. 'Today is off, what should I do?'

After a while, the phone screen lit up. David sent a reply message. 'Please do what you want.'

She replied immediately. “Okay.”

She picked up her bag and walked out of the room. She had just left, Sophie opened the door and removed the camera, and went to Mrs. Emma. She opened it and with Mrs. Emma pinched her head to watch.

After watching the video, Mrs. Emma and Sophie looked at each other.

“They actually slept together. That means they truly love each other.” Sophie commented.

“But I don't want Ella to be my son's wife. She is not worthy when her status and family circumstances are poor. How does our Anthony's house have such a daughter-in-law? Where is our honor?" Mrs. Emma snorted.

“So what are you going to do?”

“Do whatever it takes to get them divorced.”

Sophie was surprised, she was a little reluctant because she felt Ella was a gentle girl. "But…"

She did not finish her sentence, the phone of Mrs. Emma rang. "Hello, I heard."

“Hello, do you recognize me?” The person on the other end of the line said excitedly.

Mrs. Emma cheered as she spoke. “Maria, is that you? Aren't you in France to study? Why bother calling me?"

“I miss you and David too. I am about to graduate and I will be back in the near future. I called to let you know.” Maria said in a cheerful voice.

"Good. Everyone misses you too.” Mrs. Emma said. Suddenly, an idea popped into her head.

After turning off the phone, she told Sophie. “Maria came back just in time. She is the daughter-in-law of the Anthony family. "

Sophie blinked. “What do you mean…” She seemed to have guessed Mrs. Emma.

"Right. Make David divorce Ella and marry Maria." Mrs. Emma said while smiling.

“Will David agree?”

“Find a way to make David hate Ella. Compared to her, Maria deserves much more. Maria is the daughter of a wealthy family and a childhood friend of David. David meeting Maria again will surely be very happy. You don't want David and Maria to be a couple?" Mrs. Emma asked Sophie.

"I do not mean that. It's just that I'm afraid… David doesn't love Maria.” Sophie hesitated. She watched David and Maria grow up together so she could be considered David's nanny. Of course, she knows Maria's personality. Although Maria has a position in the upper society, matching David - an aristocratic and elegant guy, Maria seems a bit stubborn and haughty. Sophie herself doesn't like Maria, she feels David suits Ella better. But she did not tell this to her master.

Mrs. Emma said. “Then slowly he will fall in love. Marry first, love later. Either way, the marriage between David and Maria will have to happen.” She said with certainty.

Meanwhile, Ella wears a white dress and goes to Mr. Harry. She took a breath and then raised her hand to the door, knocking three times. After a while, one of Mr. Harry stepped out and opened it. Ella came in and found him sitting on a chair reading a newspaper on the balcony.

"Ella, is something wrong?" Mr. Harry looked away from the newspaper, asking her with an affectionate gaze.

“I have a break, I want to do some shopping. So I'm here to ask your permission." Ella said softly. Although David told her she was free to move around and do what she wanted, she thought she needed to tell Mr. Harry knew a voice.

“Why are you asking my permission? You have the right to do what you want in this house.” Mr. Harry laughed.

Ella scratched her chin. “So… I'll go now.” She turned her back and heard Mr. Harry speak up.

“Ella, you can buy me an apple pie, okay?”

"Okay." Ella happily nodded. She was driven to the mall by Anthony's driver.

In David's office, he sat hunched over in his chair, looking down at the stream of people down the street. He was just invited back after meeting a client.

He was in a state of panic right now. Every little detail that happened last night kept replaying in his mind. That kiss, why did he kiss Ella? Why does he hug her so easily? Last night, he thought he'd just lie next to Ella and sleep so they wouldn't get suspicious. But he did not expect that he himself could not help but kiss her. He can't forget that kiss.

Suddenly the phone rang, interrupting his train of thought.

David picked up the phone. "Yes, mother."

Mrs. Emma transmitted a sentence. “Maria is about to return home. Spend more time with her.”

David's eyes widened in surprise. "That has nothing to do with me."

“Why is it irrelevant? Friends and Maria have been close since childhood. It would be nice if she were your wife.” Mrs. Emma said bluntly.

“You forgot I was married?” David swallowed. He didn't understand what was going on.

“I never accepted this poor daughter-in-law. To me, Maria is worthy of being the daughter-in-law of Anthony's family. Don't you read the newspaper? Newspapers reported that you married a poor girl with no outstanding achievements. It is an insult to our family.” Mrs. Emma shouted into the phone.

“She graduated from a prestigious university. Why say no outstanding achievements?” David argued.

“Even so, I chose Maria as my daughter-in-law.”

"But I don't love Maria."

“Love after marriage is a common occurrence. In conclusion, you should divorce Ella, don't make me have to find a way to kick her out of the house." Mrs. Emma said and then hung up the call, not letting David say another word.

David threw the phone on the table, confused.

Key pushed the door in. Seeing his master's unhappy face, he asked. "What's the matter, boss?"

“My mother told me to divorce Ella and marry Maria.” David sighed and replied.

Key knows Maria. And like Sophie, he could never like this slutty girl.

"What you will do?" Key asked again.

"I do not know. I can't divorce Ella because my contract is not over and I don't want to marry Maria either. I just see her as a friend.” David pinched the space between his eyebrows. Then he suddenly had an idea.

He will use the contract marriage between himself and Ella to protest against marrying Maria. If he is determined not to divorce Ella, Mrs. Emma would have no reason to force him to marry Maria.

David was pleased with his initiative. But he forgot one thing his mother was no ordinary woman.
