Chapter 35

Cael whistled as he turned his coffee machine on. Today was his first official date with Mikayla.

When he looked back on her initial insistence on having nothing to do with him at all, he was often surprised at how far they'd come in such little time.

Something had changed her mind and he didn't know what it was.

Whatever it was, he was appreciative of it. It gave him a chance to win her heart.

He reached into the cupboard and found the coffee beans where his housekeepers kept it.

He found the measuring cup and meticulously measured the right quantity of beans into the machine.

Just as he was turning it on, his door bell went off.

He frowned and headed to the small screen that would allow him see and communicate with whoever was outside his door.

He wasn't expecting anyone today and there were few people who would visit him anyway.

He could make a full count on one hand; Armani, Matt or his mother.

His father hardly ever visited him, especially not unannounced.
