[Cara]

I didn’t know what to do as I stood helplessly next to Damon while gripping the chair where Davien sat right in front of his arrays of computers. I was already panicking, my heart beating so fast and sweating profusely with anxiety, but I had to appear calm to absorb what Davien was doing on his computer, locating Nancy’s phone or her car.

A huge hand suddenly spreads on my back, startling me a little, but then I relax when Damon leans over and swears. “We’ll be going to find her, Cara.”

It had been an hour since her mother called me, and right after Damon found me, he brought me to Davien’s lair, where we found him deep into his computers. As much as an ass that he is, the moment he knew Nancy was missing, he didn’t say a word and immediately ran his system into haste, searching her location.

Also, the embarrassment faded in me after seeing him. He did not jest nor ever mention what he had seen this morning. I don’t know if Damon threatened him or anything. Nevertheless, I cou

[Cara]A muscular arm wrapped around my waist just as I was about to launch myself into the car. “No, let go of me!” I struggled against him, my feet lifting off the ground, vigorously trying to kick him while screaming at the top of my lungs, hoping that my friend would hear me and show herself. “Nancy!”Please, somebody, tell me that this is all a prank just to scare me.“Cara, you need to calm down!” Damon held me tighter until I lost my strength to fight.“Check the perimeter. Make sure that there is no bomb attached to the car.” He barked out instructions to his men as they rounded Nancy’s vehicle.Only then it dawned on me how much influence Damon has in this city. The entire police officers couldn’t do much about everything soon as Damon and Davien stepped into the place.I couldn’t see much of the inside, but it was enough for me to know that no one would ever survive this kind of attack. Her car was completely destroyed.No. No. This could not be happening. I refuse to bel

[Cara]I asked Damon if we could take Aunt Margarette into his mansion while we waited for any update on where Nancy had been taken or if anyone called demanding ransom. Fortunately, he agreed, and we took Nancy’s mom with us.She was crying ceaselessly and I was doing my best to comfort her even though I was struggling myself either.Too many things had been going on, and the possibility of why she had been taken. One of our theories is that she had been targeted by one of the kidnap for ransom syndicates. Though Damon assures me, it’s not the case.Of course, he will know.He holds the largest ring in the city. However, he already explained to me that he does not condone such activity. He explicitly prohibited the entry of minor human trafficking and kidnap for ransom. Though he admits that he cannot control everything. It might be a possibility that Nancy was one of the unfortunate souls who happened to run into that place where the kidnappers were looking for their next victim.Bu

[Cara] Damon’s attention snaps on me, his grip on my arms tightens, and his dark gaze narrows.“You told him to come here?”Is he blind or something? Can’t he see that I am as flabbergasted as he is?“Are you mad? Why would I call him here?”Gaping, I pushed him away from me and put quite a distance between each other before I decided to smother him right here and now.Damon tilted his head, regarding me, with a hardened stare of incredulity. “Why wouldn’t you?”I snorted in mock outrage, crossed my arms, and pretended not to hear his allegations before shifting my attention to Davien.“Let him in,” I say, immediately earning vicious retaliation from the two of them.“What? Are you fucking mad?” While Davien keeps his mouth shut, which is very brilliant of him. Damon, on the other hand, did not take it lightly. I could see the angry veins at the side of his temple poking out in contempt.I know it may sound crazy, and letting a FED inside a mafia boss’s liar isn’t that much of a good

[3rd POV—Damon] “Bro, she has her fingers wrapped around your neck. She got you in a chokehold.” Davien teased his brother as Damon went up to the foyer with him while his gaze remained on the woman. He couldn’t say no.The bastard is smoking again, and as much as he wants to yank the blasted stick out of Davien’s lips, he stops and focuses his attention on Cara, patiently waiting for her friend in the driveway. It annoys him that she basically begged him for that FED guy to enter his domain and by allowing it. He was risking too many things. There are many possibilities that could go wrong with an FBI agent poking his nose about, but when Cara pleaded with him and offered something he couldn’t resist, he caved in and opened his gate for that goddamn agent, begrudgingly welcoming him into his abode. There’s no lie in Davien’s statement. Cara indeed had her grasp around his neck, and he didn’t even bother hiding it. She might not know it, but she had him so deep into her.“Wait till yo

[Cara]The dread has been filling me these past few hours after Nancy’s gone missing.Transient happiness brimmed me when mom came in. Though I was not expecting Simone’a appearance for tonight, his presence right now is greatly appreciated, and I could tell that it helped Aunt Margarette a little to be surrounded by those people she knew she could rely on.After the loss of his husband due to ruptured aneurysm years ago, Nancy was all she had left. Aunt Margarette and mom had been close friends before I was born. It was the right decision for me to make mom come over, aside from the fact that I mainly wanted her so that I could make sure she was alright. Aunt Margarette desperately needed emotional support to help her get through these dark times. We all needed each other.I could say Damon did not approve of this. He even treated Simone poorly. But somehow, I managed him to agree, even if this meant submitting myself to him completely.I mean, he may have already taken a lot from m

[3rd POV—Nancy]A bludgeoning headache hit Nancy soon as she roused to consciousness. The back of her throat eyes felt like they’d been sucked deep into her skull, and cotton balls jammed right into her throat. She tried to open her eyes, but the more she forced them wide, the more it hurt, eliciting a loud hiss to slip between her lips. What happened? She thought, wracking her brain with recollections of things. She was supposed to meet with her mother when things… ‘Have I got into a car accident? No, someone was following me,’ she recalled. Three cars tailing over her at the roundabout, and another came blocking her way.The reverberating sound of gunshots rang in her memories, jolting her body from where she had been laid flat, with each bullet striking her car. It was a miracle that she was not wounded, but she remembered people forcefully yanking her out of her vehicle. The sudden movement caused pain shooting down her back, prompting sudden gaps out of her and eyes peeled wide

[Cara]I could taste the bitter tension thick in the air, while my mom’s clammy hands gripped into mine tightly. I rub my thumb over the inside of her wrist, trying to calm her down. I need to act as if I am not scared, when in fact, I am. I know I am making a hasty decision and threats were prowling near us. But I just can’t take it anymore. I already have enough of everything and all I wanted to do is to save Nancy from wherever hellhole she might be now.Damon’s booming footsteps catch on us, and not a second later he appeared right in front of me. He looks like he was about to snap, but was hanging on a threat of patience left in him not to kill us all. That’s right. How could I ever forget that this man is a cold-blooded killer? How can I ever trust him with my life when he himself has already taken the lives of countless others without showing the slightest bit of remorse for his actions? For all I know, he doesn’t really have a plan for saving Nancy and was only trying to gasl

  • Midnight Phantom   Chapter 96: Simone’s Place

[Cara]I told Simone to take us to his place since that is the only place where I think Damon would not go. He suggested that we should all rest first and we’ll get into it tomorrow morning. Simone lived in a bachelor’s pad and it wasn’t much since he was just transferred here. Good thing he has one small vacant room that we can all squeeze in.Simone also initiated we should get ourselves some personal things on our way here so we can change our clothes into something comfortable. My mind seemed to have shut down for a moment, leaving my body in auto-pilot mode. I just pulled out a couple of random clothes off the rack and paid for everything we get.No one seemed to eat right after even though Simone had ordered us large boxes of pizza and fried noodles. Nothing seemed to be appetizing, so instead, I just went into the guest room and get ready to sleep. My body was almost drained of energy, exhausted, though my heart still ached after what happened back at the mansion. I let out a

[Damon] ***Ten years later...*** I run my thumb over her lips the slides my fingers into her hairline, gripping her close as much as I can while she moves on top of me, grinding and taking me inside her.God, I love this woman with all my heart. It fucking hurts like I am going to explode.Right inside her.Her back arches, and her hair falls down her spine as she rides me, and I lean back on my elbow, holding her hip.Fuck, baby. I groan.“God, Damon,” Cara whimpers, her knees on my side trembling. She digs her nails into my shoulders and comes in, kissing me, her taste and heat making my fucking head spin. This was the second time in six hours. She, climbing on top of me and stirring me awake at the crack of dawn just ten minutes ago.How easily I stir for her, though. My beautiful wife.Ten years.A decade has passed since that night.Yet, I still couldn't believe the vision I had with her had now come true.We are now living in a two-story house. • Midnight Phantom   Chapter 142: It’s Done

[Cara]He was frantic and disoriented from having the sack on his head. He lists too much and fights the bonds on his wrist.“Get them out of here and make sure their mouths are sealed before I will,” Damon instructed a few of the armed men to get the catering crew out of here. His threats are resolute, and I'm sure as hell that if one of them squeaks, that would be the very last sound they make.A shudder ran down my spine, but it wasn't for the horrible thought of what Damon might do to the poor catering crews, but mainly to the man’s hysterical blue eyes glued on me. A momentary surprise registered on his face upon seeing me, but then he was back wrestling with his binds. The vivid anger in me burns the back of my throat, seeing my father's face as well as the one responsible for his death. He tries to talk, but the gag on his mouth shuts him up. Salvatore unceremoniously rips the fabric off his mouth and grabs his head by the hair.“C-Cara?” He sputtered, recovering his breath.“

[Cara]I felt comfortable and confident with the dress I chose. It was a tight-fitted tube with a chromatic effect that changes hues when the light hits it. Though I topped it up with a white pea coat, covering Damon’s bite marks was glowing in brilliant red on the skin on my shoulders. My make was already done, and I just let my hair hang in its natural curls, cascading down to my waist, then paired it with black Louboutin shoes with rhinestones lining around the pointed heels.I was staring at my reflection in the mirror for one final glance as I eased my nerves. Just then, the doorbell chimes, and the raging dread fire starts again and coils in my gut.Damon says it's going to be fine, and I trust him. However, I am not worried about this man, but rather the information he brings us. A knock came through the door on cue, and Damon’s voice followed. “Cara, my love.”It’s going to be fine. I tell myself and take a deep breath. Traipsing across the room and opening the door.“I’m don

[Cara]I was fidgeting my fingers as I stared at myself in the mirror, unable to contain my raging nerves and needles pricking at my throat, making it hard to swallow.Damon assures me that everything is going to be fine, but is it going to be?He invited Salvatore Servantes to his home, or should I say his penthouse. Yes, we haven't been back to his glass mansion or he lets me go with my mom when she says she's going back home. He didn't even allow me to return to my condo. It's only the two of us, but it will be soon that Salvatore comes ringing the doorbells.Damon is true to his words when he says he will let this guy who ordered to kill Henry come over and dine with us.Perforation rigged into my large almond eyes as my gaze traveled down to my chest, to tiny scars above the swell of my breasts, and disappeared underneath my bra. The tip of my fingers unconsciously brushes over the small lump of a scar on my side. Mentally counting the stitches and cursing Burson’s soul to rot in

  • Midnight Phantom   Chapter 139: Picket White Fence

[3rd POV—Damon]Damon watches Cara sleeps in his arms. The fact that she was snoring softly and appearing calm gave the impression that she was having a pleasant dream rather than one of the terrifying nightmares that had been tormenting her sleep for some time after the traumatic event. That there were no monsters chasing to touch her.The air was thick with the stale smell of after-sex, their naked bodies were entangled in a comfortable way, and both of their breathing was in perfect harmony. She was sprawled atop him, her breasts squished on his ribs. The side of her cheek pressed to his chest just above where his heart softly pounding. As though it was the last sound she was listening to that lulled her to sleep.Damon carefully cleared the golden tresses veiling on her beautiful face, his index trailing the fine bridge of her nose. Her eyes fluttered from his touch as though, even though, through her sleep, she could still recognize him. He stilled for a moment when she stirred,

[Cara] He motioned to his tenting arousal and didn’t need to elaborate on what he wanted me to do. My entire system seemed to know as well what he needed.I unzipped his trousers and took out his agonizingly hot, stiff, turgid cock. He pushed my head slightly so the tip of the rested cock rested on my lower lip, the weight of it making me pout. Damon stared down at me as though he appeared to be waiting for me to act. Grabbing a fistful of my hair, he gently pulled me back so my throat was almost perfectly aligned, a straight passage from my mouth to my stomach, and my spine bent downwards with my breasts hanging hefty just above the sheets.Instinctively, my mouth opened, and his cock slipped in, resting heavily on my tongue as the salty tang wrapped around my taste buds. I have a small mouth and the bulk of his shaft still surprises me even though this wasn’t the first time I’ve given him a blowjob.Damon began stroking my hair softly.Moving his hips as he began to feed his shaft s

  • Midnight Phantom   Chapter 137: Count to Six

[Cara] When I believed I had already gotten the hang of repressing my feelings, I found out otherwise. Damon was precisely like a wrecking ball, crashing through the thick walls I had built and reducing them to dust in the process. I pushed myself up and swung my legs over the edge of the bed. I turned my gaze around and noticed I was in an unfamiliar room. However, the manly scent that permeated my nostrils reminded me so much of him, and I immediately knew this room was his.Maybe one of his properties.I sigh, feeling the heaviness on my chest weighing me down. “I'm sorry.” The words just tumbled out of my mouth while in my head, chanting apologies for the foolishness railed in my thoughts. “I am so sorry.”How selfish could I have been? My gaze zeroed in on my fingers, fidgeting on my lap. They had already taken me out of my gown and changed me into a red satin night shift.A deep growl resonated in his chest as he hooked his index around my chin, tilting my head up. Dark eyes bu

[Cara] Damon was about to attack Henry, but I grabbed his arm to stop him. He was still clutching the gun that he had taken from me, and I have no doubt that he won't think twice about putting a bullet in Henry's head. Damon came to a standstill and focused his perplexed gaze on me for a moment.“He made you cry,” he grumbled, his irritation clearly visible on his face and the stench of liquor oozing from his breath as he spoke. He had been drinking before he came here. He must have been stressed out with me leaving so abruptly without saying a word to him or explaining why I just did that.I breathe deeply, feeling completely spent. “He did, and he’s going to pay for what he did.” My focus shifts to Henry as I try to rein in my rage before it consumes me completely once more. “But not right now.”I have enough for this day—too much information I didn't know how to handle.“Cara,” Henry uttered my name in a hushed tone that was hardly inaudible due to the sound of the chopper's blades

  • Midnight Phantom   Chapter 135: Tempting Notion

[Cara]I was so angry I didn't realize that I had destroyed all the things inside Henry's office. The table’s a wreck, the chairs been upturned and one leg was broken. The stack of documents piled on the table scattered the floor, and shards of broken glasses hazardously littered the floor.“Cara, please calm down before you hurt yourself.” I snapped my vicious attention to Henry, glaring daggers at him. Honestly, I was surprised by his imperturbability, as though he wasn’t dealing with an unhinged woman who was on the verge of madness.Which, unfortunately, turns out to be me.He raises his hands in surrender, yet he keeps inching closer to me. “Let’s talk this over.”Is this man making me laugh? “Talk?” I scoffed, looking at him indignantly. He wanted to talk? If he did, he could have done it long before he discovered he had a long-lost twin brother and introduced himself to us. But no, he only chose to reveal himself when it was already too late. My dad died because of his stupid
