ADY“Good heavens!” Something warm suddenly grabbed my arm, digging into my forearm and causing me to jump back in astonishment. I quickly pulled my hand back and moved away, startled.Elsa took a step back from the man when she noticed my fear.“Sorry if I startled you.”It seems like my body temperature has returned to normal after feeling scared and having it drop unusually low. Damon stood before us. The black polo shirt he wore had a distinctive dark green collar. While he may not have the same level of muscularity as Jasper, something about his physique brings to mind the Korean idols I look up to.“I hate to rain on your parade, Ady, but the person you’re afraid of is beautiful,” Elsa remarked.I casually glanced at Elsa and then shifted my gaze to Damon. “I’m sorry, Damon; I was taken aback. Wow, your hand feels warm.”“I’m sorry you feel that way, too,” Damon replied casually, slipping his hand into his pocket. We stepped out of the car and started walking. Damon strolls along
ADY “Where on earth is he?” I kept searching for Damon, but I always returned to the Ruins. I casually hopped over the fence and entered. The ruins are shrouded in an eerie silence, with darkness enveloping everything. I heard some unusual sounds coming from above. Out of nowhere, a hand landed on my shoulder, instantly sending a wave of warmth through my body. Damon casually stood in front of me and effortlessly switched places with me. I witnessed the boulder narrowly miss Damon’s back, causing a surge of shock to course through me. The boulder shattered upon impact, yet he remained utterly composed. How did Damon manage to surprise me and enter without my knowledge? How was he supposed to anticipate the rock falling in the darkness? “Uh, h-how’d y-you do that?” I stutter. Damon glanced at the boulder, then again shifted his gaze towards me. “We should probably go before something falls on us.” Damon gently grasped my hand and suggested, “Shall we go?” He guided me to a differen
ADY“If you continue to gaze at me, you might just find yourself captivated,” Damon said, his eyes gently shut. His biceps are noticeable as he casually rests his hands under his armpits.Damon decided to sit beside me on the journey back to the city, and I couldn’t quite figure out why. He guided the man to the seat, and Elsa followed suit. Despite Elsa's claim of seeing Damon running, I was confused about what I had witnessed earlier. I don’t think Elsa grasped the situation, either. It was surprising how Damon managed to get so close to me in such a short amount of time. It felt like he appeared out of nowhere and suddenly embraced me. Earlier, I noticed the distance between Damon and myself.“Don’t fret. I won’t develop romantic feelings for you.” I continued speaking, but he responded with laughter, indicating his disbelief in what I was saying.Damon lazily cracked open one eye and posed a question to me. “Hey, I was just wondering, what’s your favorite color?”I couldn’t help bu
ADY“My loves!”As we exited the bus, my fellow students and I were immediately drawn to Jasper’s voice emanating from the university’s main entrance. I glanced over my shoulder and caught snippets of hushed conversations drifting towards me.“Oh my god, you have a boyfriend!”“Oh, um, he’s just a friend,” I explained to my classmates.“Does anyone have a friend they affectionately call “my loves”?"“We’ll believe you if it’s between two women. But if your friend has a way with the ladies and affectionately refers to you as “my love,” it’s hard to deceive anyone."I sighed and gave Jasper a disapproving look as I turned to face him.“Oh, it seems like he’s your not-so-pleasant-smelling friend.”I shifted my attention to the individual beside me. I was standing next to Damon, and we were both gazing in the direction of the main entrance to the university. Perhaps Jasper encountered some difficulty entering the room while conversing with the guard.“At some point, I might not be able to
ADY“Just hand it back to me, Jasper.”Quickly making my way to Jasper, I could see he was waiting for me outside our home so we could go to school together. I extended my hand and gestured for him to return the photo he had taken in my room.At the time, Jasper was frowning at me from where he sat on his motorcycle. “What should I take back?”I arched an eyebrow and gazed at him, but instead of feeling threatened, he gave me a wider grin and struggled to maintain eye contact. And it was then that I realized Jasper had stunning eyes. Her hazel brown eyes, long lashes, and svelte nasal bridge make him attractive. He won’t wonder why so many girls and gays like Jasper. His rugged good looks are reminiscent of Mexican actors, and the fact that he has killer biceps and, presumably, six-pack abs is just icing on the cake.I quickly averted my gaze and took a big breath. “You took the photo of me in my room,” I said.“What? What photo?” Jasper asked me in surprise.“It was in my room, on top
ADY“Don’t think about him because he didn’t like you then. I like you...” Jasper said it to me. I whirled to face him. “I’d like to treat you. Do you like fish balls?”Jasper said, making me smile. “Fishball?”“Yes, if you want to.”I gave him a kind smile and a nod in response. Somehow, my “yes” seemed to satisfy him, and I had no idea why. At first, we hung around by his college’s food carts.“Boss, a fishball worth twenty,” Jasper said to the vendor. The vendor said while taking a glimpse in my direction, “Your handsomeness is incredibly different, boss. You have another woman with you.”Using a paper cup and a stick, Jasper took a fishball out of the skillet.“Watch out, boss. She might believe what you say in the end.” Jasper chuckled. Jasper gave me a sideways look. “He’s only trying to annoy, so don’t take him seriously.”I grin. We stepped to the side and ate what Jasper had purchased after he had a fishball. I gave the vendor a cursory look; in contrast to his previous banter
ADY“Hey, Ady. It’s me, Damon."The voice seems familiar, but I don’t want to make assumptions. Something more about that voice made me feel off, and it was something only one person could offer me. There is only one.‘Oh my god!’Because I couldn’t believe what I had just heard, I checked the phone’s screen to ensure the number was correct. However, my actions are meaningless since my phone does not have that number saved.“Ady? Are you still there?”“A-ah, yeah! How did you get my telephone number?” I asked. I only share my number with Elsa and Jasper, as far as I know. Moreover, based on what I know about Elsa, I doubt she would give Damon my phone number.“The registrar gave it to me.” Damon said on the other side, “I’m sorry. I couldn’t tell you that I’m going home.”“O-it’s okay. On top of that, you don’t need to update me,” I replied with a smile. “Only those in romantic relationships should make such a gesture. Why did you call, uh, anyway? Is this the only reason?”“Yes, just
ADYI spotted Jasper waiting for me on his motorcycle when I stepped outside. He seemed to be intently thinking something from the look on his face. Before I even got close to him, my head was so hot it seemed like it might explode, but I put up the hood of my jacket and walked over to speak to him.Even though I tried to hide my face, Jasper stared at me and peered obliquely under the hood.“Why are you wearing that hood over your head? Is there a problem?” Jasper asked me.“Nothing.” Because my heart was racing so quickly then, I claimed it seemed like it would stop beating any second.Jasper reached out to pull off my hood, but I caught his hand and prevented him from doing so. And then he used one of his hands to rip the hood off my head entirely, which caught me off guard.Jasper and I locked eyes. “Um, are you blushing?”I remained silent since I couldn’t think of anything to say.“I-If you’re thinking about what happened earlier...” Jasper said. “I didn’t intend to see you naked
Ady's POV I got a tight hug from my grandmother after I got my medal a cum laude and graduated from the architecture course. A lot happened, and everything was memorable. I thought I wouldn't be able to graduate yet, but here I am today, wearing a cap and gown. "Congratulations!" Damon gave me a hug when he saw me. He also wore his graduation gown and waved his diploma and medal at me. Both Ranzel and Zek came up to me. Ranzel hugged me while Zek gave me a flower. His father's old pack became part of Damon's pack. They all accept Damon as their leader. "My loves!" When he saw me, Jasper smiled widely. He brought me flowers and chocolates as a gift. He also gave me a big hug. Jasper's university graduation was last week, so he graduated before Damon, and I did. As soon as Jasper let go of me, Mama Minerva hugged me. I call her mom because that's what she wants me to do. Damon and Mama Minerva are still together, and Uncle Aman and Jasper are together. Jasper put his hand around my
Ady's POV My heart was pounding hard, and I was sure this wolf would find me no matter what I did to hide. It attacked several things in the house to catch me, but I was able to get away, so its growl got louder. I hid behind the ample cabinet and writhed in agony from a leg injury. I also saw the blood on the plant that Jasper put there. I put my hand over my mouth so I wouldn't scream or let out a weak moan that the wolf might hear. As the rustling got closer, it made me even more nervous. My tears kept coming out of fear, too. "Ahhh!" When I heard the voice, my eyes grew wide. I was afraid, but I looked in to see what was happening. "Ady, are you okay?" It was Damon's mother speaking. I saw her standing there with blood on her torn clothes and wounds on her forehead, thigh, and arm. "Y-yes," I said in response to his question. "Stay exactly where you are," Minerva said. Then it suddenly turned into a wolf. She has gray fur and is probably tiny compared to the rest of the pac
Ady's POV I woke up feeling like a thick blanket wrapped around me. That warm, hard stuff felt so good on the skin. Later, it started to move, so I opened my eyes. Even though my vision was blurry, I knew who the man was who hugged me. "J-jasper?" I said weakly. "My loves," Jasper said. His face, which had been blank, suddenly lit up, and he seemed to be thinking deeply. "How're you feeling?" I smiled. "I'm fine." Jasper turned his head away from me and sniffed. "I am sorry you got hurt. I didn't keep my promise to protect you." I lifted my hand and put it on his cheek. "That is not true." "What I'm stating is true because you wouldn't have done this if..." I didn't let Jasper finish his sentence. Instead, I grabbed his neck and pulled him closer to me until our lips touched. It was just a nibbling kiss, but for me, it said a million things that I wanted him to feel. "What's that for?" "For keeping me alive." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. "Jasper!" Jasper and I bot
Jasper's POV "W-what? We're not cousins; we're twins." The response surprised me. "Dad, you're just kidding, right?" Dad didn't say anything and just kept looking at me. I don't know what I will think or feel right now. I smirked. "This looks like something I've seen in a movie. Dad, if you're serious, tell me, son." "I am telling the truth. Jasper, this is not a movie," said dad. "My best friend is Soledad, and my girlfriend is Minerva. Even though we've been together long, she wasn't my imprint. Iago imprinted her. When she found out, she told me right away, and because it was fate, she said there was nothing we could do. I pursued her because she was planning to kill herself. She didn't like Iago, and there were only two ways to eliminate the imprint. Either one of them or both of them died. And to save her from such a sin, I went after her and did everything I could to get her to accept Iago, even though it hurt me a lot. Minerva agreed, but we had promised that we would be each
Ady's POV "D-damon?" When I saw Damon's condition, it made me cry. He's staring at me, but I can only hear grunts because he's a wolf. If Damon is the white wolf before me, Jasper is the white wolf who attacked the black wolf. I was seated next to Damon. "Ahhhh," I exclaimed, trying to sit up straight. I turned to Damon and smiled a little. "I'm not going to die. The wolf bit me and almost crushed my bones. I escaped the wolf's bane." My breathing got deeper. I grabbed just above my wound and bit my lip so hard that it almost bled because I bit down hard on it. It hurt like something was moving inside my wound, and I felt very hot inside, like I had a fever. Because of the latter's canine, I had to gasp to view my wound. Later, the white wolf moved closer to me. He got up weakly and came to me. It was staring at me, so I stroked its head. Its old wounds are healing, and it is a mystery to me. "Y-you're healing..." I whispered. I'm trying to change the way I talk so Damon doesn't
Damon's POV "Hello, son. You make it." I didn't think that my dad would be the first person I saw when I got to the top of the mountain. The air is cold, and fog covers the entire area. "D-dad." Dad chuckled. "Hmm, you don't seem happy. Long time no see." "As far as I can tell, you're not glad to see me. It would be pointless if I hugged you." Dad laughed. Because of wolfsbanes between us, he halted a few meters away. It was like a garden of wolfsbane plants. "How does it feel? Be a Lycan? To be the strongest of all?" he asked. "Did you feel the craving for blood and power?" "Why would you ask? Are you curious to know if we feel the same way?" "No. We'll never feel the same way again. You are different." "Yes, you are right; I am different. Both of us are different." I said. The wind started blowing again, and the smell of wolfsbane drifted through the air. I felt something strange inside my body. I can't explain why. But it's like hot water that starts to boil inside of me.
Jasper’s POV "Mom, do you know anything?" We were talking in the kitchen while Dad sent everyone out. Ady, Damon, my dad, and my mom stayed with me. Their expressions were serious, and I got the feeling that no one wanted to answer my questions. I could feel the tension in them, and it looked like Ady and I were the only ones who didn’t know what was happening. "Ady should not be here," Mom said. "Why? She’s my girlfriend, so she’s part of the family," I said. "She’s your imprint?" There was shock at Damon’s question. He glanced at Ady. "Yep, she is." Damon smiled. "I’m relieved." I scowled at what Damon said, but I didn’t pay attention. I looked at mom and dad as if they were talking to each other with their eyes. "You aren’t telling me something. Damon knows something that I don’t. Why are you doing those things? Are you also keeping secrets from me?" I asked. "What’re you talking about, Jasper?" dad asked. "You have no idea, dad?" Dad stared at Mom for a second before tu
Damon's POV "What?" Jasper glanced at me, then at his mother, and then at me again. "I think they were using blackmail," Jasper said. "Yeah, Mama won't go with them because she'll die before that happens," I said. "I must go." "Where're you going?" Jasper's mom asked. "I'll find mom." "You're alone," it asked. "Wait until Aman comes to save your mother." I frowned when I heard Jasper's father's name for the first time. Aman? Is that his name? "There is no need. I'm not part of your pack; you don't have to help them." "But you helped Granny and Ady." Jasper's mom said. "Because they were the reason then, Mama. They were the reason Ady's parents died; they saved them. Now, Ady's grandmother, and she almost died because of them, and because he was a..." "Jasper, if they were the reason, Minerva didn't force them, I'm sure." Jasper's mom said. When she mentioned Mama, she seemed to know her too. "I need you to be considerate, Jasper. She needs help, and I'm sure that even if sh
Damon's POV "What? Blood Moon Twins legend?" Jasper asked. "Well, that's a new one on me. I don't know anything about that story. So there is a legend, and only your mother knows?" I nodded. "It was just a story. I didn't believe it either at the time, but one of the descriptions in the story shows me that the myth is true. I was born a lycan, and it's possible that Jacob was one, too. Like in the story, we were born twins under the blood moon." "Perhaps it's just a coincidence," Jasper said. "Why did his father take Jacob? You said it had only been a few hours since you were born, so Jacob still needs your mother's milk. I'm just curious." "I also have no idea why he took Jacob or how he knew that Jacob was his son." "You mean your mom's ex could have taken the wrong baby? I mean, you're possibly his child and not Jacob's." I didn't speak. I've been thinking about that a lot. Mom said the DNA test showed that my father and I were different, but Armando took Jacob, and I have no
