Krell's breath fanned my face. He rubbed the back of my neck with one hand and touched my legs with the other. Every part of my body that he touched felt hot with electricity.

'Close your eyes.'

Last night's words suddenly came back to me, and I couldn't help but close my eyes and exhale softly.

I heard Krell chuckle softly as his thumb rubbed over my chin.

The next second, he kissed me. I felt the hot and possessive aggression in his breath as his lips crashed into mine.

With the tip of his tongue, he gently traced the outline of my lips. Suddenly my lips were wet and slippery. I was taken by this feeling. I was infatuated by his royal aura and the shudder his proximity gave me.

But then he let me go. I was breathing hard and fast as he pulled away. Hating the chill of air that snuck in between us.

"You're blushing." He continued to tease me, but I heard the restraint of his desire in his voice.

I was a little shy, and asked him, "Why were you paying attention to me?" I adjusted my breath and deliberately changed the topic.

"Because you're special."

I was special? What did that mean?

I didn't understand what he meant. There was nothing special about me.

"You were fired from the hotel last night," he said, avoiding my question. I wasn't surprised by that. "Do you want to come work for me?"

That question did surprise me. Krell lifted an employment contract from the table and handed it to me. I looked at the document. It was a job with no description and a very generous salary. The daily salary was five times that of my original job.

"But why me?"

Again, he didn't want to give me an explanation.

"Take your time to think about it. It's your call."

Then, he said nothing more.

The next day, I arrived at his company. I wasn't sure if I should take the job but a call from my adoptive mother the day before made me change my mind.

"Mia, my dear daughter. Can you send me some money? I am broke and have no food."

Hers was the second most repulsive voice in the world. However, I couldn't refuse her. My conscience told me I should repay her for raising me.

My conscience also tried to make me forget how badly she treated me while I was growing up. The bleeding mouth, the late-night screams and the pieces of glass in my skin. It made me take this job when I didn't even know what the job would be.

I did my best to look professional. I was wearing a white shirt and a black skirt. When I looked myself over in the mirror, I really liked what I saw. I wanted to look this nice and professional all the time.

I tried to feel hopeful as I stepped through the glass doors, eager to find out what my new job was going to be like.

"Mia!"

A familiar voice calmed my confused heart. It was Sofia!

This was where she worked!

"Why are you here?" Sofia asked happily as she gave me a hug.

"Actually, I am not quite sure." I really couldn't answer this question.

Sofia never stuck at trifles. She did not probe further and began to chatter about the company and her boss like she did on the phone the day before yesterday.

"My boss is amazing. He's handsome and well-built. His blue eyes can make your heart flutter just by looking at him. Not only that, he's only in his early twenties, but he took over the Erindo pack. The Erindo pack is the most powerful one!" Sofia said enthusiastically.

I began to think about the man who saved me. I imagined him standing in front of the French windows. I got a feeling that I was very close to him. At that moment, a man in a dark gray suit walked over. He had blue eyes and a familiar scent.

It was Krell!

He walked past the crowd gracefully.

"Mia." Sofia's eyes were wide open in shock. From her tone, I could tell that she was a little surprised. "Was he looking at us just now?"

Sofia was right. Krell was looking at us just now.

To be exact, he was looking at me…

***

The job was not going as well as I had hoped. I had been ordered around since yesterday, and my colleagues laughed at me all the time. Everything I did seemed wrong, from the way I dressed to the way I behaved.

"Where did he find this girl? That lowly omega doesn't deserve to work here!"

"I never met anyone as incapable as she is? Yesterday, she spent forever making a simple copy of one document. I really don't know how she got this job!"

"She has a pretty face. Perhaps she used it and more shameful assets..."

My wet shirt stuck to my skin. The cold wind from the air conditioner and my colleague's harsh words made me very uncomfortable. Then I found myself facing the most difficult one.

It was Sara. She came up to me and directly questioned where I came from. I didn't want to answer her. Then she splashed coffee from her cup on my shirt.

Of course, being ostracized was common in my previous jobs. I was just grateful that the coffee wasn't hot. However, she deliberately got some coffee on herself and accused me of bumping into her on purpose.

Things spiraled even further out of control from there.

Everyone came over. They blamed me for being clumsy, calling me vicious. They laughed at me for being unscrupulous.

I tried to explain. I raised my voice, trying to explain to them about the coffee stains on Sara's clothes, but no matter how hard I tried to explain or shout, no one believed me. Tears filled my eyes.

Helpless, I took their abuse and shoving and sat on the cold floor in despair.

"What the h*ll are you doing?" A familiar female voice came from outside the crowd.

It was Sofia. She came back from printing a document.

Oh, my merciful Sofia, my dear Sofia, she finally came. She tried her best to protect me. She shielded me behind her and viciously cursed back at my colleagues just like how they did to me.

Sofia pushed through the crowd and helped me up from the ground. I held Sofia's hand tightly as if she was my savior.

However, soon, Sofia was defeated too. She had just been transferred to this company and did not have the right to speak for anybody.

Now Sofia was also being scolded. Her shirt was stained by coffee too.

"She's just as lowly as useless as her friend!"

"Look at her. She's also an omega."

"Maybe she entered the company because of her body as well!"

Their words cut deeper and deeper, like knives. I felt both pain and shame.

Why did I let Sofia help me? She shouldn't have been dragged into this.

I didn't want Sofia to suffer with me.

"Why would such a beautiful lady be treated so rudely?" It was an elegant and charming male voice.

My colleagues all moved aside and finally I saw his face clearly.

He had curly blond hair, a fair face, and amber eyes. His smile could make any woman fall in love with him.

He helped me and Sofia up. I caught a glimpse of a delighted light in Sofia's eyes.

"This lady is mine from now on. If anyone does anything mean to her, I will make sure that Krell fires them!" His words were not as charming as his appearance. His words were sharp and gave me a complete sense of security.

"Isn't he our investor?"

"He often goes into the boss's office!"

"I saw it. Even the boss has to be respectful to him!"

"We can't afford to offend him."

"Okay, guys, go back to your own business!"

My colleagues all left. No one dared to step forward again. Perhaps it was because of the man's unique noble aura, or perhaps it was because of his identity.

This was the second man to help me in less than a week.

"Sir! Do you remember me?" Sofia suddenly shouted as she approached Locas.

Locas replied calmly, "Well, I don't remember having met such a beautiful lady like you before."

"I..." Sofia wanted to say something else, but Locas had already turned his gaze to me.

He took my hand and held it tightly in his big hands.

He stared into my eyes, barely blinking.

He then said, "Gorgeous, sorry. I should've come earlier. You've had a rough time. Would you like to leave this humdrum place and come away with me?"

This was also the second hasty invitation I'd been given by a high ranking savior.

I looked at him, confused.

Who was he?

He gave me a polite bow and introduced himself. "I'm Locas, the uncle of the alpha of the Sailandia pack."

Another honorable man, just like Krell.

Why had they both come to save me?

This was my first time on the top floor, my first time being called to the office, and my first time being called by Krell."Come in." Krell's deep voice sounded. I slowly pushed open the office door and tried my best to look down at the document in my hand that I couldn't put back in time. I felt uneasy. Why did Krell call me here?I looked around the office. There was only Krell and Locas. They were both looking at me now with some strange desires in their eyes. They were both expecting me to go to them."Hey, beauty, we meet again."It was Locas's voice. I retracted my scepter, and my true body returned to my usual appearance. Krell and the others had returned to their human forms and stood beside me. I felt extremely tired. These people were just trying to use me. I suddenly felt extremely disappointed and disgusted with them. Krell had already stepped forward and grabbed me. "Mia, listen to me..." I interrupted him. "Listen to what? I don't want to listen to any of your explanations. I've had enough. You're all the same. No matter what your motives are, no matter how you appear to me or approach me, your purpose is the same. You just want to use me to help your pack. I'm very disappointed. I don't want to have any more dealings with you. Today's matter ends here. I'm no longer the Moon Goddess. I'm only Mia, that ordinary woman." I took off the crown, and the moment I took it off, the light on my body was attracted into it. Just as the light on my body was about to completely disappear, I picked up the scepter and threw it ha

Suddenly, a coolness flowed from the top of my head to my whole body. The crown on my head let out a low hum. I instinctively thought of the scepter. I pounced on the ground not far away, and my fingers touched the scepter that had fallen to the ground. I gripped the scepter tightly. A weak force circulated around my fingertips, guiding my arm and raising it high up to the bright moon in the sky. My headache instantly disappeared, and a long, strange line of words appeared in my mind. It was the incantation of the ancient gods. In an instant, the scepter emitted a myriad of rays of light and the brilliance of the moon, constantly merging together. The entire sky was illuminated by silver light. The silver moonlight drifted down and wrapped everyone in it. Stars from the scepter scattered around like flowing water, also enveloping the five men beside me and falling on them. The magic from the scepter made them recover quickly. The moonlight shone on their bodies. The blood on th

Locas also hissed at Willard. "Willard, take care of your brother. We'll take care of these people." However, the current situation was even more critical. Although Simon and Locas were not weak, it was simply too difficult for the two of them to deal with so many wild wolves. With Kasim heavily injured, it was impossible for him to return to his human form, let alone fight. Willard hugged his brother and shouted Krell's name. His entire body was covered in blood. His neck had been severely bitten open, and several pieces of flesh on his shoulder and back had been torn off. It looked like a disaster. They were both in human form and Willard w

Hundreds of years ago, a series of events happened to the Lycan packs that resulted in changes. When they begged for power, they experienced countless difficulties and dangers. Every species had the right to evolution. The Sun God and I gave them the ability to evolve, and I, the Moon Goddess, became the guardian of their worship. They promised me that they would not be enemies with humans, be friendly with the packs for generations, and not do anything to harm their people. Everyone would live together in their respective territories and maintain the prosperity of all packs. However, 1,000 years later, as technology developed, the Lycan leaders were gradually consumed by greed. They forgot their original intention and began to do all kinds of things to hurt other Lycan for the sake of power and wealth. And their various despicable actions finally got in the way of the interests of all Lycan, causing the most innocent and most powerless among them to fight for survival. Therefor

*Mia* Willard was always so meticulous. He led the way for us while Kasim and I followed behind. We had to find the entrance to the treasure as soon as possible. Otherwise, tonight would be a big problem. What made me feel strange was that we couldn't find the entrance when the sign on the map clearly indicated that we were near the treasure. I found it hard to understand. Kasim became very serious. He followed beside me. As he held my hand, he comforted me softly, "Mia, don't be afraid. I got you." His voice was still as delicate as ever, like a child. If I hadn't seen him fighting with the hungry wolves, I wouldn't have believed that he was that powerful alpha. I smiled and patted his hand. "Okay, don't worry! Willard will take care of everything." He pouted. "Mia, you only trust Willard and never trust me?" I was surprised. "Where does this come from? Willard has always been the most careful person!" Willard said without turning around, "Stop talking. Let's hurry up.

I'm going to see if Kasim needs help." Mia was really a gullible girl. She nodded vigorously. "But Willard, you have to be careful too. I don't want you to get hurt again. You haven't fully recovered yet." I felt warm. Her eyes were filled with concern. At this moment, I believed that I meant a lot to her. I couldn't help but stop and hug her gently. She stroked my cheek and said earnestly, "Willard, you have to believe that I'm really worried about you. Can you promise me to take care of yourself?" Did you underestimate me?" All I wanted was for Willard to be safe. I was extremely happy. Willard was in much better shape now. His injuries had already healed. I held Willard's arm and looked up with a smile. "That's wonderful. Willard, you're doing so well. I'm so happy for you. How are you feeling right now?" Willard's voice was still a little weak.
