~BLAIR~
I shouldn't have.
This is probably a mistake I'll regret forever.
I shouldn't have told him my true feelings. I should have known that they're all the same.
Cassie, Raymond, and everyone else in their circle.
Maybe Raymond is well aware of Cassie's plan.
Cassie is the mastermind and he has helped her play it out perfectly.
“Stop looking at those. It sucks to see you sulking over a man,” Jeff scoffed. “You won't let this dinner go to waste, will you?”
I sighed.
Do I even have the appetite?
Maybe Cassie is right. Maybe this heartbreak will kill me.
“What's the progress? Have they found the evidence?” I changed the topic, putting the photos aside.
I know it's Cassie's doing. She won't leave me alone and keeps sending me photos of her and Raymond.
Jeff shook his head. “You're sure Cassie's the one behind it? Maybe she was only bluffing.”
I know my sister.
Cassie was so serious when she revealed that she caused my father's accident.
She meant the things she said.
“I need to visit Dad.” I stood up, my chest heavy with sadness.
Cassie's back in town. Who knows what crazy things she might do next?
I need to find the evidence as soon as possible to turn her in to the authorities.
“You didn't eat anything, Blair. I won't let you go,” Jeff objected.
He has been looking after me since I stumbled into him at the hospital.
My Dad is under special care, and I'm not allowed to stay with him.
I won't only visit the hospital to check on him. I have to make sure my baby is alright.
I've been so down lately. I fear depression will affect my child.
“It's okay. She won't eat because these meals are so expensive and she might get indigestion.”
The most annoying voice sounded from behind me.
I balled my fists as the sounds of a wheelchair approached.
“Oh, Jeff, how much have you paid for this? Aren't you afraid of spoiling her with such expensive meals?” Cassie joined us at our table, accompanied by a bodyguard.
I bet she has been watching over my movements.
Damnit! Can she just leave me alone?
“I beg your pardon.” Jeff frowned at her. “Do we know each other?”
Cassie smiled sweetly. “Of course not. But as a considerate person, I'll have to warn you. Blair might end up warming your bed tonight. You'll be like the hundredth man. Hope you won't come down with an infection.”
“The only infected thing is your mouth!” Jeff stood up. “Watch how you speak.”
I sighed, throwing her a disdainful stare. “Just ignore her, Jeff. Let's get out of here.”
“She doesn't have the right to treat you like that,” Jeff gritted out.
Well, I know what I'm doing.
Whenever Cassie manages to anger me, she always wins.
Instead of listening to her speak nonsense about me, I'd rather do more important things.
“Will you drop me off at the hospital?” I asked Jeff who stared at me helplessly.
He agreed and we left the restaurant.
Outside, Jeff was about to open his car door when Raymond's voice suddenly sounded.
“What's the meaning of this?” He grabbed my arm, his anger evident as he exerted pressure.
I bet he's with Cassie.
How funny that he didn't care to look for me while I was a bit hopeful.
“You could at least wait until you've signed the divorce before hooking up with men.”
I stared at his face. At the anger in his eyes.
Why does he care?
“You and Cassie played me, isn't that enough, Mr. Reece?”
Raymond let go of me, grunting in annoyance. “Cassie helped you-”
“Well, I don't need that kind of help!” I screamed.
I don't even know why I've lost it.
Just staring at his face reminds me of those words he said.
“I will pay back every penny you've ever given me. Just give me some time!”
Does he think I wouldn't have found other ways to get that money?
But because I was blinded by his love, I easily agreed to his offer and fell into Cassie's trap.
“I wonder where you'll get the money.” He scoffed. “Let me guess, your lover will handle it.”
Jerk!
Maybe I was too blind to see that he's the most arrogant man on earth.
He also thinks Jeff and I are having an affair.
Isn't he and Cassie birds of the same feather?
Now that Cassie's back, he no longer needs to pretend. He no longer needs to treat me nicely.
“I'm not taking a penny from you!” He grabbed me again. “You'll follow me to Grandpa and then sign the divorce. After that, you can do whatever you want with your worthless life!”
I smiled at his words, but only God knew how much I wanted to cry.
Hearing those words coming from the man you've loved for many years isn't definitely bliss.
How can he just use me and toss me aside like trash?
Does he and Cassie think I'm a toy they can play with?
“Fine.” I swallowed down the hurt and nodded. “Let's go to Grandpa.”
Despite Jeff's objection, I followed Raymond to his car.
He didn't even look at me as we sat inside the backseat together.
The wound caused by his rejection is still raw in my heart.
It's hard to focus when he's sitting right here beside me.
“My lawyer will prepare the divorce papers.” He finally broke the silence. “We'll sign it first thing tomorrow morning.”
I didn't answer him.
I stared out the window, the pain inside my heart making me dizzy.
When we arrived at the mansion, we met his grandfather waiting in the living room.
The old man looked wary as he glanced at us both. “Raymond told me that you have something important to tell me. I hope it's good news.”
I sighed.
Sitting beside the old man, I put on a smile. “It's good news, Grandpa. Raymond and I just want to inform you that we'll be moving in with you. We're finally willing to make our marriage public-”
“Are you crazy!” Raymond cut me off, his expression darkening.
I smirked.
Does he think he and Cassie can play me and just go scot-free?
The man's expression shifted from disbelief to hate. He looked as if he would murder me on the spot.“What's with the gloomy face?” His Grandfather butted in, staring at him with a frown. “Isn't that what you came to tell me?”Raymond’s dark expression transformed into normal. It was obviously difficult for him to pretend to be happy as he constantly sent secret glares in my direction. He sat down beside the old man as well and murmured, “Blair and I haven't thought it over yet. We'll discuss and-”“If you haven't thought it over, why come to me?” Grandpa George cut him off, giving him an incredulous look. “Or is it that you're here for something else?”His Grandfather probably has guessed what brought us.It must be why the old man looked wary when we came in. He didn't allow Raymond to speak further. Turning to me, he took my hands. “That's very thoughtful of you, Dear. You see, I've been lonely for so long. It's better you move in here and give birth to my great-grandkids while

Is this one of Cassie's pranks? She's definitely pulling my legs. She'll never-“What better way to make you fall into my trap easily?” Cassie shrugged. “You needed the money and the contract came in handy.”“No! You didn't!” Anger surged through my veins.I shot forward and grabbed her. “Cassie, why!?”I can't help the tears that burst out, thinking back to those days full of horror and fear.
