By the time I realized that George hadn’t kept up the house payments, it was too late. After getting home from the supermarket, I walked up to my front door and there was a notice on it, “Foreclosure sale, Monday August 12.” Thinking that it was a mistake, I brought the paper closer so I could read the fine print. Unfortunately, it was my address. Feeling shocked and suddenly saddened, I realize that in less than a month I will be homeless because there is no way I can come up with that kind of money before the sale.

I could never ask Sam for help because I turned down living with him two days ago. At the time, I figured it was a good thing when I still had so many doubts. How can I possibly ask a man for money, when I haven’t even spoken to him since that morning?

That morning after breakfast, I told him that I needed my space for a few days to clear my head. When he seemed upset by this, I realized it was the right thing to do. Clearly, he has some thinking to do too.

“We grew up together, even though we never talked to each other. It’s kind of funny.” Sam states with a smile on his face as he stands there next to me and chats with Stephanie, one of his cousins. She has beautiful long black hair and chiseled features with a high forehead, that make her look very Native American. Not to mention, she has a deep and sensual voice. If I didn’t know better, I would swear she is a model straight out of one of those Cosmopolitan magazines. Her height, however, is extraordinary for a woman. She must be at least 6 foot tall.Staring at her, you would never guess that she is shy and the quiet type. Reserved maybe, but never the one to hide in a corner and hope no one talks to her. But from what Sam told me about her, she is, and it is amazing that she wouldn’t be comfortable in her own skin. That woman is so beautiful that I’m even jealous of her.Apparently, Sam’s family has quite a bit of Cherokee in their blood. Matter of fact, he is 50 percent o

When we get back to the hotel room, Sam walks into the bathroom to clean up. I yell after him, “What did Aunt Myrtle mean by that?” Because I was curious as to what exactly is going on.Peeking his head out, all the blood is gone, and he smirks before stating, “It’s a tradition in our family. Every time we are all together, there is either a fight or someone dies. We would much rather have someone in a fight, trust me. However, occasionally there is a death because one of the kids does something stupid. That is why we only get together when there is a wedding or a funeral.”Smiling now, he disappears for a few minutes and then once he comes back out, he is completely cleaned up. “So, how did you like meeting the family? They all think that we ran off and got hitched.” He says in an amused tone after starting to laugh.“Well, after meeting most of them, I liked them. That was until your brother Daniel jumped me. What is his problem, anyway?” I ask hesitantly because I don’t wa

A few weeks back, I decided to really start practicing my violin again. When I picked it up, it was like riding a bike. I found that I had never forgotten a single thing, except for the immense pleasure I got from making beautiful music. The way the wood felt in my hands and the bow molded perfectly to my fingers, you would have thought that I had been playing all along. When I heard the first note, it was like the heavens had opened and I smiled harder than I had in years. It was a good day because I had a sense of purpose. Now, as I open the letter stamped with the Philharmonic’s name and address on it, I feel anticipation course through my veins. I had applied last week by sending my audition tape and resume to them, but I honestly didn’t think they would ever accept me for the position of concertmaster. However, the moment my tired eyes rest on those very words, I read it over again to make sure. Sure enough, it is all there. Everything from salary to hours and what is exp

From the moment he got here, I had this strange feeling as if he was hiding something from me. At first it was just the look in his eyes, but then he received a call from someone and took it into my library. I thought it was a little odd the way he hushed me and then shut the door to the adjoining room before he continued his conversation. The whole time I find myself wondering if it isn’t one of his exes or something on that line. But one thing keeps eating away at me as I start to label all the boxes. “Why does he feel like he has to hide this from me?” I murmur under my breath and then look down to see that I had managed to slit my finger open with the scissors. There is blood dripping profusely onto the cream-colored carpet and is making a mess.“Damn it!” I cry out when I realize that I just dripped blood all over my new white sandals. Rushing to the kitchen, I put my hand over the sink and run the cold water. As I stand there, I feel Sam’s hands snake around my waist and

Feeling like I am ready to pop, I have never been so glad when Sam walks up behind me and begins softly kneading my tired shoulders. “Mm. Thank you so much baby. That feels wonderful. I almost want to just say the hell with it and curl up next to you in bed, instead of going.” I say in a whisper with a hint of sadness in my voice.Knowing that if I don’t go, I will surely be fired, I sigh and then turn around to give him a soft kiss. I linger a little too long as I feel his hands begin to roam over my breasts, before I finally say, “I wish I could stay, but duty calls.” Quietly, before rushing to the bathroom and inspecting myself in the full-length mirror one last time.Tonight, I am wearing a very tasteful but expensive long black dress by Desdemona. “This is called Laborie. It’s supposed to have the most scenic waterfront of all of Saint Lucia.” Sam says calmly as the taxi ferries us to our destination. “This is where we will be staying.”I watch as he points at the beach house while moving around constantly in his seat. Sometimes he reminds me of a child because he will get so excited over the littlest things. He has every right this time though. Not only are the town’s pristine waters the clearest emerald green I have ever seen, but everything about this place oozes romance.“Wow, this is so quaint and beautiful.” I say with a hint of wonder, but then my stomach begins to grumble again. Leaning forward, I ask the driver, “Is there anywhere to buy food around here?”When he glances back at me, he nods without saying a word. I have no idea if he even speaks English because he has not said one single thing to us the entire time we were in the car. Even at the airport, he held up a sign with Sam’s last name on it and didn’t

“Do you have everything baby?” Sam asks just before opening the door.Looking at his watch, he glances at me before rushing to the car. I watch as he runs in his sleek black tuxedo that fits every muscle on his body just right. Even his hair looks model perfect today and that makes me jealous because I don’t even have my gown on yet.We are running late for the wedding with only 20 minutes to spare. Of course, I still must put on my gown before the music begins and do the rest of my hair. I guess I am lucky because the church is only five minutes away. That means slip into the dress and let Veronica quickly sweep up my hair while Denise does my makeup. “No problem, right?” I think to myself while he drives to the church. We slept in this morning and with a 10 a.m. wedding, that is a bad thing. I guess in hindsight we shouldn’t have stayed up all night worrying about all the minute details. After all, it should be perfect because I have spent 6 months preparing for this day.Re

“What happened?” Sam asks while taking my hand and kissing it.“I did something I shouldn’t have and then let my anger take control of me. I knew it was stupid of me to go, but I needed to get some answers once and for all.” I say quietly before sitting down on the couch.Sam sits next to me and when I look into his eyes, I see how worried he is when he suggests, “Just sit back and relax before telling me everything. You have me curious now.”Sinking into the down pillows that make up the back of the couch. I close my eyes for a moment before telling him. After taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly, I open them and prepare for what I am about to say. I lace the fingers of my good hand with his and then gaze into those handsome eyes before stating plainly, “I did a dumb thing. Upon arriving at home, the first thing I do is to call Tina, my cousin. “Hey, I know you haven’t heard from me in years, but I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner tonight, say 6? I have something I want to speak to you about.” I say in a mysterious manner before I continue. “Well, I must go. I will be there at 6 and not a minute later.” I state before ending the call.Sighing, I realize that I must start practicing. Tomorrow, we have a rehearsal, and I didn’t pick up my violin once the whole time we were gone. I know I should have, but every time I went to play, Sam would come up behind me and kiss my neck.Forcing myself to stop thinking about it, I open my violin case and then spend the next several hours practicing. By the time I’m done marking up the music and deciding the bowings, I am too tired to do anything else. Hearing Sam come up behind me, I swallow hard and wait for the inevitable. Please.” I beg while panting now and secretly hoping that he will smack my butt just one more time before I release. Needing to come, I tighten my pussy and wait for his reaction. In response, he thrusts in harder this time. Pushing me over the edge when he hits my special spot. “Oh my God!” I barely get out breathlessly before I start to shake.Closing my eyes momentarily, I see a rainbow of the most beautiful colors cascade down the inside of my eyelids that I have ever seen.
